Sun of god:It will be coming. . . Let us hope the West can differentiate between a "Christian" South and a Muslim North. We are not the same. ![]() |
Nigeria lacks unity, and I do not ever see Nigeria becoming united. The last nationalist was Nnamdi Azikiwe, but his contemporaries were not as far thinking as him. |
can u show me a post where ndu_chuks wrote nonsense about ndigbo

To Allah (God) be the glory that we have the Northerners whose membership in this country, Nigeria, continues to keep the country ONE.
@udezue, what you are saying is equivalent to an Abriba indigene telling you that he is not Igbo, or an Ijebu person saying he is not Yoruba. Please go and educate yourself before coming here to write crap.
How does it feel? This is how we feel you write crap about the Ndigbo. Even though you probably know us, because you lived amongst us, does not mean you have a right to write nonsense. |
I heard Mayor Bloomberg in New York was trying to send homeless people to their home states though so it has been done outside of Nigeria |
Anyone is better than Buhari. ![]() |
Desola:You cannot ostracize a group that are 30 million+ I would have hoped that you would have come to the realization that to ostracize the Ndigbo at your own peril. Look at how Abiola did not become president because of Igbo sons. Thank you Arthur Nzeribe. And if you think the Igbos are disliked, ask all the neighbors to the Ijaw. Even your people were violated by Ijaws who kidnapped one of your obas. |
Ibime:The Aro as tools by the Ijaw? Do not make me laugh. Haven't my Aro brothers on Nairaland such as Udezue and other already countered such lies. The Aro was the most powerful people in Eastern Nigeria. This cannot be denied, because even the British saw us a threat to their interest. Aro simply made deals with coastal people such as the Ijaw and Annang/Efik. It doesn't mean you controlled us. The Aro Conferderacy was a true power. Not mercenaries, because we used our own merceneries such as Ohafia, Abam and Abriba who struck fear into the hearts of our enemies. Aro Igbos did only target other Igbo clans. We were at war with the Ibibios, Ekoi and other groups. Eventually we would have pushed southward to the coast. But like I said, the Ngwa provided a bulwark for you Ijaw. You should be the Ngwa, who protected you all from Aro hostility. How do you think Arochukwu was founded? Was it not through war against Ibibios clans who we eventually absorbed into Arochukwu. That is why many Aro Igbos not only speak Ibibio, but have Ibibio surnames. The true slaves are the Ijaw who do not even bear "Ijaw" names. 75% of Ijaws have English surnames. And people cannot say that it is because they are a coastal people. The Ibibios/Efik/Annang are a coastal people, but they have indigenous surnames. So who are the true slaves? |
maga1:This is Africa, if you do not have the numbers, then you will not have your voices heard. Minorities should be happy that the president of Nigeria comes from a minority group. |
vicenzo:We Aros were in the strongest position of unifying the entire East under Igbo hegemony. Ibibios, Ekoi, Efik, Cross River groups as well as various Igbo clans had to pay homage to Aro's hegemony. The Ijaw should be thanking another powerful Igbo clan, the Ngwa from stopping Aro's march to the sea. If not for the Ngwa, many of these Ijaw city-states would have fell. |
Be honest with yourself for once. My statement is accurate and you know it. The midde-belt problem you alluded to is simply due to the failure of the federal government to deal with the Fulani herdsmens' complaints of land encroachment. Blame GEJ for the continued senseless killings going on in those regions.
Everything cannot be blamed on the Fulani. How do you explain what is happening in Kaduna? Hausa vs. Southern Kaduna people. The Fulani are not the cause of that situation. Why blame GEJ, when this problem has been occurring for DECADES? The North is messed up. Do you see Southern groups killing each other over land? Maybe you should be honest with yourself. |

If not for this glue, you people for don kill una selves finish - truth be told.
Like your people already maim and kill in the Middle Belt? How do you explain Jos, Kaduna and what is happening in Benue state? Truth be told? My people's problems do not concern your much bigger problems. |
Ibime:How about we flood your creeks with Igbo mercenaries? To think a small ethnic group like your own talk to a group that is 3 to 4 times more than your own is very interesting. Remember there will be a time when we Igbos will take rightfully what is ours. We already control Rivers State and it will take a 100 years for an Ijaw man to be governor over a state that is majority Igbo. If you do not like that, then there is always Bayelsa state. Yenagoa needs to be improved. ![]() |
Remii:Do you think, because a misguided Igbo man is supporting Islamic banking, I am suppose to be alright with that? That makes sense. . . NOT! The way some of you people think, I understand when our elders say the younger generation education is LACKING. |
Let the Northerners have their Islamic banking in addition to having their Islamic Country. We in the East do not want Islamic banking and we do not want to be in a nation that practices Sharia. |
I know. My statement referred to the so-called Ijaw clans/groups who spoke entirely different languages.
You must be talking about the Ga. Another coastal people who the Akan people say came from the sea. |
Ibime:And the Ijaw who are known as lazy fisherman. . . Who only know about violence and oil. |
This is a national disgrace! It is sad to see Northerners who cannot speak English very well. Ahmadu Bello and Balewa could speak English very well. |
Only a fool would say that Bayelsa is not contributing. It is not even funny. Alj Harem needs to stop using an Igbo name, because we Igbos are not fools. Bayelsa oil has BUILT Nigeria. This is where most of the ONSHORE oil is located. And the area within the state was the FIRST location to be exploited for oil. |
Should Eko Ile be worshiping Saint Fashola? ![]() |
Kobojunkie:Free Education is better than no education. Do you not agree? |
This is not a white elephant project my people, this is a governor who is making sure children have access to quality education for FREE. |
We have already discussed this topic and it belongs in the Culture Section. |
Why did you change the topic? All SE states do have internal generated revenue. Even Ebonyi state. . . |
Okorocha disburses N2.7bn for free education in Imo By Emma Mgbeahurike, Oweri. The Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has started the actualisation of his free education project in the state. To this effect, he has made available the sum of N2.7 billion for the renovation of primary and secondary schools in the 27 local government areas of the state. In his address to reporters in Owerri yesterday as part of the activites marking the maiden Executive Council meeting of the administration, the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Soronnadi Njoku, said out of the amount, a total sum of N100 million was allocated to each of the 27 local government areas as take-off grants of the state Rescue Mission on Health, Security and Education. He said the state government would improve on the hospitals and bring them to a higher standard in the three zones of the state. The Executive Council spokesman noted that commissioners, permanent secretaries and House of Assembly members in every local government area would oversee the refurbishment of the schools. He disclosed that each of the benefiting schools would constitute a minimum of 300 pupils or students in primary or secondary schools in the rural areas and 500 pupils or students in the urban centres. According to the Attorney General, "Council has carefully looked into Governor Owelle Okorocha’s first broadcast to the people of the state recently and has ratified all the statements as policies of government." Njoku said the Exco had adopted the governor’s positions on the suspension of 10,000 jobs, the established of a new Department of Justice and Fairness, dissolution of IRROMA, establishment of Health at Your Door-Steps outreach, the changing of the state university’s name to its original name, dissolution of Imo councils and the slashing of the security votes of certain political office holders to N2.5 billion. He also said the Exco had approved the establishment of Imo Rescue Security, an outfit comprising the Police, Army and Nigeria Security Services and Civil Defense Corps. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/11134-okorocha-disburses-n2-7bn-for-free-education-in-imo.html |
Thank you Governor Chime for your continued work in Enugu. |
The shame of Abia. |
bashr4:We all know the answer to that question. |
We in the South, especially in the 100% Christian East do not want to have Islamic banking. I stand with Cardinal Okogie. |
I have said this before! At one time we were. |
This is something that I support. All T.A. Orji has to do is maintain safety. We don't expect much from him. |
