geeez:

Fair in what sense?

Can you point to one thing he's done for Lagos since becoming president?

Just one thing

Despite Lagos being the most populous state
*he added Lagos request for a $200m foreign loan proposal demand to the mtef for 2014 to facilitate the completion of Lagos light rail and some projects in Lagos.
*he approved the construction of a fast rail between Lagos and Ibadan
*he approved the construction of an additional port in Lagos to be located at lekki.
*has been involved on some federal roads in Lagos e.g third mainland bridge ,oshodi apapa expressway etc .
*has approved a construction of a greenfield refinery in lekki by a joint venture of NNPC and ccecc.
*have attracted several investors to Lagos just like the one were currently commenting on.
he did all this despite the bias and hate the APC and their apologists have shown him because he as a person has proven that he can rise above hate .
so can u now stop been bias and truthful to your conscience .
you asked for one but I just overfed you now can u please rise above hate?

GenBuhari: Buhari took over from Shagari because Nigeria was bankrupt.

Buhari was only in power for 20 months, and with his rejection of the ruinous terms for IMF loans it was not possible at that time to revive the steel plant.

You should be asking what did IBB and Obasanjo do with their 8 years continuous reigns to revive the plant? Especially Obasanjo who was enjoying record high oil prices during his 8years tenure.
Mr man stop trying hard to defend the gross incompetence of your slave master.
did GEJ demand for any loan to revive the plant?there is a difference between when an intellectual is in power and an illiterate power monger is in power .

Islam for Muslims / Re: Is Islam The Most Discriminated Religion In The World? by fabulous4u: 9:24pm On Nov 29, 2013
blakky97: People are quick to use verses from the Koran to show that Islam is about violence, but it only seems like "violence" when it is taken out of context. People can say that the Bible promotes violence as well (if the verses are taken out of context). For instance, here are some choice passages from the Bible which when read in isolation makes the Bible appear to be a primer for evil:

1) In Samuel 15:2-3, the Lord orders Saul to kill all the Amalekite men, women and infants, 2) In Exodus 15:3, the Bible tells us the Lord is a man of war, 3) In Deuteronomy 13:6-16, the Lord instructs Israel to kill anyone who worships a different god or who worships the Lord differently, 4) In Mark 7:9, Jesus is critical of the Jews for not killing their disobedient children as prescribed by Old Testament law, 5) In Luke 19:22-27, Jesus orders killed anyone who refuses to be ruled by him.

Political and religious extremists have abused Islamic, Jewish, or Christian scriptures continuously throughout history. This would not happen if context was taken into consideration. Remember that the Bible and Koran came approximately 2000 and 1500 years ago, respectively.

It is also important to distinguish between Islam and Islamism. Islamism is "an ideology that demands man's complete adherence to the sacred law of Islam and rejects as much as possible outside influence, with some exceptions. It is imbued with a deep antagonism towards non-Muslims and has a particular hostility towards the West. It amounts to an effort to turn Islam, a religion and civilization, into an ideology." "Islamism" is not equivalent to "Islam."

Why do people think Islam revolves around violence? Because people commit the hasty generalization logical fallacy -- "what is true for a small sample must be true for the whole population."

So, a minority of Muslims that are anti-American radical fundamentalists that have misinterpreted the Qur'an and other religious teachings (and an even smaller portion have actually fought against the U.S. in one way or another) "must" represent the believers and followers of Islam as a whole. Therefore, it is a "dangerous" religion and "threat" to America, its populace, and democracy.

This, in addition to the terrorist activity, have falsely made people to believe that Islam is about violence. On the contrary, people who take the time to understand Islam will know that Islam revolves around peace. Their greeting, Asalamu alaykum, literally means: peace be upon you. The teaching of the Islamic Prophet, Mohammad (pbuh), can be read in the book called the Hadith. It is a sharp from what extremist Muslims do.

Muslims believe: the sin of killing one innocent person is equivalent to the sin of killing an entire. In this context, "innocent" is referring to anyone who hasn't caused you harm directly. (i.e. terrorists bombing WTC on 9/11 is a sin because they killed innocent people who had done no harm).

In conclusion, no religion promotes violence. People have to take the time to understand another persons religion before they jump to conclusions. Take context into consideration, don't let a minority group influence your perception of a group as a whole. The taliban and al qaeda don't represent Islam because they don't act in ways that Muslims should act in
please don't misinform people here
christian are follower's of Christ and all u quoted was old testament, jesus Christ can be read about in the new testament and there was no were in the new testament that he spilled blood but was always preaching peace, but your prophet Mohammed killed people didn't he?can u justify why a Muslim should not kill
and for your information those people in the old testament are the Jews of today ,they practice that doctrine and they don't believe in Christ so don't refer to the as christians

What are you saying my friend? The fact of the matter is these people are Christians committing crimes. However, the media refuses to acknowledge this. Instead whenever a Muslim commits a crime whether it is religious or not religious, the media blows things out of proportion and link it to Islam. The way the media is able to brainwash people about Islam and African Americans never ceases to amaze me. The funny thing is that so many people believe the lies.

Politics / APC Will Fight Corruption, Waste – Tinubu by fabulous4u: 4:25am On Nov 28, 2013
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, has said the decision of the aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party to join the APC will change Nigeria’s political landscape forever.

Tinubu, who said this in an interview with the Aljazeera Television, on Wednesday, added that the party would fight corruption and waste in government. A script of the interview was obtained by The PUNCH, in Abuja, on Wednesday.

He expressed confidence that Nigeria’s political landscape had changed forever and for good.

In response, the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh, said time will tell which political party was truly popular.

According to Tinubu, the decision by the governors and their supporters to join the opposition APC has tilted the scale and balance of power in favour of the opposition.

He argued that Nigeria was now moving from imperialism to what he called proper democracy.

Tinubu said, “This development will start reshaping the landscape of politics in this country forever. Not for us only but for generation unborn.

“And the future of this country to take its position as a leader in Africa and not just as a well populated country that is big and directionless.

“Nigeria has tried in the past to achieve stable democracy. Like other African countries, we have had our share of military rule and a bit of democratic rule.

“But we are blessed with human and material resources which have not been harnessed for the welfare of the mass of the people in this country.”

The APC leader observed that the sophistication, honesty, trust, transparency which were essential ingredients of the electoral process had been absent in the Nigerian system.

Speaking further about the defects of the Nigerian political system, Tinubu said the balance of power was currently tilted in favour of the incumbency.

He noted that Nigerians had never seen a group that would have a common focus and put patriotism as the cornerstone of their guiding principle.

“This is a party that will put people at the forefront of their cause in participating in politics. Never has there been a group that will focus on the welfare of the Nigerian citizenry and fight corruption and waste in governance.

“There are many areas that this new APC alliance and effort will unveil. We will ensure that we have credibility in the voting system, the character, commitment of our people – the value that you want to pass the torch to the coming generation on democracy,” he said.

Tinubu, who is a former Lagos State governor, observed that the perception of having so many governors working together in one party and platform alone would encourage people to share ideas as well as values and boost their confidence in the electoral system.

He also stressed that a shift in the power equilibrium would rekindle the expectation of the world that the nation’s opposition did not only exist on paper but that it was physically present in Nigeria.

He accused the ruling party of systematically encouraging corruption, lacking care and focus on the primary things that would develop the country.

He expressed sadness that Nigeria had kept missing the bull’s eye in the critical path to a democratic success.

However, Metuh said it was laughable for the opposition party which was the “home of corruption” to accuse the PDP administration.

Metuh said “2015 is just by the corner it’s not too far. Talk is cheap, they have played all their cards and done all they think they can do, time will tell who has more number of followers.”
