Please does anyone know the time interval for Lawyer visit after interview for family re-union visa application? Someone told me 6 weeks. How true is this?

Don't know if the questions they ask ladies are different from the ones they ask the men. During my interview in February i was asked questions like
1. What are my husband's full names?
2. His date of birth( she asked this repeatedly)
3. What his occupation is
4. Where he works
5. The city he lives in
6. His house address
7. Where he was born
8. If he is a graduate
9. How much he earns
10. If he has any child
11. Where we had our statutory marriage
12. The date of our traditional marriage, white wedding and court wedding..
13. She also went through my pictures and asked who some persons in it are to me
14. She also asked how i met my husband, if we became friends before marriage or we married immediately we met.
15. She asked how often we speak on phone.
Questions plenty sha, can't remember all

Hi Everyone,
In my last update here, I reported that the lawyer never came for verification during the visa waiting process.
However, last week the embassy surprised me by paying the verification money back.
I sent someone to collect 150K back from the embassy as they requested.
To God be the Glory.

The lawyer verified all my documents and everything seems good.
The lawyer told me to pay him 200,000 naira or else he will throw my paper away, he said again that he's not going to submit my document till I paid him 200,000 naira.

Guys I have been given a last chance to pass the German A1 exam or lose my visa. Please wish me luck this time.

I finally arrived Germany Yesterday. I have never experienced this type of cold in my life but I am happy to be with my Spouse.

The whole process of applying for German Family Reunion Visa and arriving here safely (18 long and frustrating months) was for me a difficult one.
I am still surprised that the lawyer never visited me. For me, this is a miracle and it can happen to anyone on the process. God can change the rule for you. Also, My A1 was long expired and I was not asked to submit a new one. This might be because I also possess a B1 certificate which my spouse submitted in direct to Auslandermpt.

Lessons I learnt in this whole thing is that only God can do it. Submit all the requirements and pray to God for the rest.
In the last 18 months, I have been on this page everyday (very amazing). However, I will always check to contribute from my experiences and also to give back to the community that many times brought relief to me.

Good luck guys. I am still indoors (under the covers ooo because of cold) but I am happy.

Go to a courier company DHL or UPS and ask for a prepaid envelope. You would go along with the envelope for your interview, the envelope would be used to send back your documents when the embassy is done with them.

The affidavit will be signed by a parent. Just go to the court and it will be done for you

Every error in any certificate is usually corrected with an affidavit

Please house, I want to make enquiry on school certificate as a check list, there's an error on the first name on my waec which was also used to gain admission and also like that on the Bsc certificate, but my correct name is on my passport and every other documents. Is it necessary I add my school certificate and if I must would the error on my first name be an issue? If it will, what must I do before am been notified for my appointment, Am applying for family reunion, thanks as i anticipate a reply.

Family reunion visa gotten.

Interview date : 16th July 2020

Got a call from lawyer: 4th August 2020

Lawyer showed up: 12th August 2020

Verification completed and request for new affidavit of spinsterhood and reconciliation of name: 18th November 2020

Request for a new affidavit again because the one I submitted was not deposed by a person that was interviewed: 23rd November

Request for a new passport and insurance 18th December 2020

Passport and insurance got to the embassy 29th December because of holidays and I had to do a new passport with the correct arrangement of names

Passport received with Visa 7th January 2021


The whole process was frustrating and long but I thank God. Please don't give up and be patient. Your visa will surely come but it requires a lot of patience and emotional energy. I wish everyone speed and favour in their process

English.. But the interviewer asked me, do u understand Deutch? I said small then he said introduce yourself in deutsch, which I did and he asked in English where did u learn it I told him d school I learnt it in Abuja that's the only thing he asked me in Deutsch

Don't worry ur date will soon come, I registered for appointment 2nd December 2019 and I went for interview yesterday

Congratulations. Please how did you hasten your appointment date? Mine is over a year now, i visited the consulate and they said I'm still on the queue since Dec 2019. The wait is becoming really frustrating.

September 1 2020:Lawyer's Verification
October 19 2020: Verification Email
November 27, 2020: 2nd Interview
December 14 2020: Embassy test, cos my A1 had expired
December 29 2020: Approval mail to submit insurance and travel date
January 7 2021: Documents returned back with visa stamp.

I wish every one success, the waiting period was killing and frustrating but finally it paid off.

Finally Family Reunion visa gotten/delivered today..I thank God for seeing me thru cos it was really very fustruating journey ..l booked an appointment March 1st 2019 and went for interview October 2019 .verification by lawyer was done November 2019.I really appreciate everyone here that shared their stories ,I learnt so much from u all..Goodluck to everyone still expecting theirs
