Helo ause, my i-20 is on it way and my school resume aug 19th and i need to book appointment asap but i dont have more than 40k with me. So, is it possible to pay d sevis fee inorder to book appointment and later pay d visa fee before appearing at d embassy. HELP PLS.......

i applied to concord university dis year 2ru an agent of wich he cllected 60k from me excluding visa fee and sevis fee but he failed to get me my i-20 in time. My reasn for going 2ru an agent is because of d bank statement wich my sponspor dnt have upto that amount in his account. So how could i get a bank statement without consulting any agent? Becos i wanna enroll for 2014 spring semester. Wating please..............

bones007: haha!!! there is something fishy with ur agent,cos concord send their package thru DHL and it only takes 3/4days, beside they are already sending their class schedule and other important document to start the fall class, i received mine yesterday sef.. Abeg mail the school international admission officer urself for u to be on the safer side. U have ur student ID already?

bones007: why thru agent naw, agents dont have anything special in them, i applied to the school myself and my package arrived in less than a week, though i was writing the school every time until i get what i want from them. i will advise u to call ur agent to speed the process uu cos u dont have much time by ur side.

If only you knew of this thread earlier you would have been on the position of a 'guru on US student Visa process' by now. Its all good anyway.

The DS-160 is the form you fill online when booking your interview. You'll need your SEVIS code which is written on your I-20 in order to complete it. The website is https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/
Visit the site, fill the form and submit. Then you can go on to
http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-visaapply.asp
to book your visa interview.

Remember that you must pay the visa fee of N26,400 first before you can book the interview. You'll be asked for the payment receipt number while booking online.

You can book your interview first before completing the DS-160 form but you MUST submit the DS-160 before you go for interview. Its a simple process and I'll strongly advise that you do the rest by yourself from this point forward.
