Career / I Hope You Experience The Overwhelming Feeling Of Having Your Dream Come True by Faithymatt(f): 10:18am On Mar 02, 2022
For a while now, I've been working relentlessly towards a goal.

I've read books, watched videos, attended Twitter spaces, basically paid attention to what successful people are doing, yet it felt like I was just making a fool of myself.

With every step I took, I felt as if I was two steps away from achieving this goal.

Gradually I began to understand that the only reason I still hadn't achieved my goal was because I was holding myself back.
Towards the end of February, I told myself that I was done holding myself back.

I looked in the mirror and basically commanded myself to snap out of it. I couldn't continue dreaming. I had to take action.

This is only the second day in March and I've already achieved part of my goal.

When I realized that my dream had come true, it felt surreal. It felt like I was dreaming. But the truth is I deserve it.

I was able to get here because I saw it first in my mind.

I literally closed my eyes and pictured myself achieving my goal. And now it's already becoming a reality.

This message is for anyone who has a dream or a goal that keeps them up at night.

You need to understand that until your mind sees you achieving this goal, you might never achieve it.

Napoleon hill was right when he said:
"The world is filled with an abundance of OPPORTUNITY the dreamers of the past never knew.

A BURNING DESIRE TO BE, AND TO DO, is the starting point from which the dreamer must take off.

Dreams are not born of indifference, laziness, or lack of ambition."

You have to have a burning desire. So much that you can already see it. This is how you win. This is how you succeed.

Career / 5 Powerful And Effective Tips To Help You Have A Productive Day by Faithymatt(f): 9:34am On Feb 28, 2022
1. Drink water immediately you wake up.
Many believe that drinking water when you wake up helps with mental alertness and improves mental performance.

Research shows that mild dehydration can affect mental alertness, memory, and physical performance.

So if you want to stay on top of your game throughout the day, drink water!

2. Take some time to meditate and think about your day.
This doesn't have to take long, just take some time to picture how you want your day to go.

This helps keep the mind alert and keep bad thoughts away.

You can make this more effective by reciting a mantra or confessing positive affirmations.

3. Write down all you want to achieve in a day in order of priority.
I used to struggle with this a lot.

I knew I had a lot to get done but I didn't know which to do first and I ended up doing less than half of the things I wanted to do.

So I started writing down what I wanted to do each day and it worked!

Every morning, I'd make a list of things I want to do in order of priority and I found that at the end of each day, I'd have done most, if not all the things I planned to do.

4. Make your bed!
So you've drunk water, meditated, and written down all you want to achieve.

The next step is to lay your bed. You might be wondering how this helps, well here it is.

Laying your bed helps you feel neat, organized and accomplished.

This could serve as motivation to help you get things done for the rest of the day. Seriously, you should try it.

5. Have a healthy breakfast.
A lot of people skip breakfast because they don't want to get late to wherever they're headed to, but skipping breakfast is very dangerous.

If you have a busy schedule and you skip breakfast, you might end up eating actual food late in the afternoon which isn't good for your body system.

The brain particularly needs glucose to function properly and the truth is it doesn't manufacture it's own glucose, instead by products of glycolysis(the process of breaking down glucose) is what goes into the brain and gives it energy.

Where is glucose gotten from? Food! Particularly carbohydrates.

Not consuming anything before you leave your house in the morning leaves the body without enough glucose to run on, and before you know it, you feel tired and unmotivated in the middle of the day.

Basically, having a productive day doesn't have to be complicated. Once you set the pace for it, it kicks off automatically.

Have a great day!

Hmmm this is a very interesting theory, but I'd like to ask a question, if you found an amazing opportunity that will be beneficial to all wouldn't you want to tell everyone about it?

I guess from your response, you wouldn't. You would rather keep the information to yourself and watch your fellow man starve.

Anyway I'm glad you've showed everyone who you really are, this post isn't for people like you anyway grin
Business / Do YOU Really Have To Depend On Anyone Else Before You Make Money? by Faithymatt(f): 9:54pm On Feb 21, 2022
Today I had a deep conversation with my friend and it made me realize that many people still think that having many degrees is the only way they can rake in huge amounts of money.

My friend told me that he plans to get a masters and PhD degree and that he thinks he'd only start earning so much when he bags these degrees.

According to his estimation, he'd be about 35 years old before he'd have enough money to build a family of his own.

This might be a "solid" plan for men but what of females who want to have their own money? How do they plan to be financially buoyant enough to start a family?

I ask myself these questions everyday and I'm grateful that i have finally found an answer, call it a solution if you will.

You need to understand that depending on only a degree or set of degrees in this economy is not wise, even the holy Bible says "wisdom is profitable to direct".

So why cast all your eggs in one basket and shut your mind towards other opportunities that can give you the thing you truly desire (financial freedom)?

If you're wondering what I'm driving at, it's this: don't close your mind towards other opportunities because people are badmouthing it or because it's unorthodox.

There are many roads that lead to success, if one isn't working for you, try another.

PS: I recently discovered a really profitable way for the average Nigerian to start making enough money to pay the bills and it doesn't involve working a 9-5, at least not the traditional way.

More on this later.

Business / Have You Heard Of The Law Of Reciprocity? by Faithymatt(f): 5:18pm On Feb 08, 2022
So while I was reading a book for my personal development, I came across a really powerful law that I plan to start using from now on. I'm posting this here because I believe others can also learn from it too.

Before I tell you the law, I'd like to take you back to April 2005, when Bobby Fischer was granted sanctuary by Icelanders even though he was a fugitive in the US.

Apparently Bobby Fischer wasn't a very likeable person, but he had done Iceland a favor 30 years before that and they hadn't forgotten.

In 1972 when the World Chess Championship match took place between Boris Spassky and Bobby Fischer, Fischer had given the Icelanders a hard time before agreeing to play the game. He wanted 30% of the revenue gotten from spectators and asked that TV cameras be banned during the game.

The Icelanders didn't want this but after persuading Bobby, they finally got him to be present for the game where he beat Boris Spassky.

When the contest was over, it's coverage was all over the news both domestic and foreign. Bobby had helped put Iceland on the international map for everyone to see

30 years later, Icelanders hadn't forgotten, and even though Bobby wasn't a likeable person, they were willing to accommodate him when he was in trouble in the US.

Have you gotten an idea of what this law is yet?

It's the law of reciprocity.

People are more likely to help you if you had helped them in the past.

If you watched SUITS, you'd notice they always threw around the phrase "if you help me, I'd owe you one"

So when next you need a favor instead of thinking "who can help me" ask yourself "who can I help that is capable of helping me in the future?"

I hope this helps.

You are right! It's time for people to start taking responsibility for their personal financial success. It's already obvious nobody is coming to save us and we have to help ourselves.

And I agree, most of the rich people o the world are those who know how to sell and effectively market products to those who need them. Selling luxury items to the rich is going to speed things up real time.

I hope everyone reads this and gains a thing on to, because the truth lies in the lines of this message.

Business / 3 Restrictive Mindsets Preventing You From Succeeding And How To Fix Them by Faithymatt(f): 8:18pm On Feb 06, 2022
Hi there, this post is for you if you have been experiencing some limitations and hindrances in almost everything you do.

I mean you started a business that you know many people are earning from but you've barely been able to earn from it.

Or maybe you've been trying to improve your relationship with people but you're just not getting it right.

Whatever it is you've been struggling with, if you pay attention to what you're about to read and you apply it in your life, you'll definitely see the change you desire.

First let me give you a bitter pill to swallow. The reason you seem to be stuck, and not moving forward is because you are holding yourself back. Yes, you are your own enemy. Let me tell you why.

The human mind is designed to manifest whatever it is fed. I mean if you think to yourself that you'll never be great, you'll never be great, not because you're not but because the hate will cover your faith (I borrowed NF's words here grin)

My point is whatever you tell your mind is what will manifest for you physically.

Here are some of the ways you have been feeding your mind with poisonous thoughts that are now affecting you physically.

1. The limiting mindset: someone with this mindset assumes that there isn't enough success to go around. Let's use someone who discovered a business opportunity as an example. If this person assumes that because he wasn't the first to start the business, there wouldn't be enough people to buy from him, he is limiting himself. By thinking that the market is over saturated, he is communicating to his mind that he doesn't think he can attract people to buy from him. The mind receives this message, causes it to be expressed physically, and before he knows it, nobody buys what he's selling.

How to fix a limiting mindset?
Develop an abundance mindset. This means instead of thinking that there are too many people selling the same thing as you, think of how to stand out so people will be attracted to you. Always remember that there are billions of people on earth, and out of those billions, there are people who are the right customers for you. You just have to find them and convince them to do business with you.

2. Fixed mindset: this mindset is very common among many people. Someone with a fixed mindset thinks that because he doesn't have some sort of advantage, he cannot succeed. These are the people who think "I'm an introvert. I cannot go into sales because I don't know how to relate with people." or "I'm not rich, there's no way I'll attract a beautiful woman."

What happens when you have thoughts like this is that your mind communicates them to the physical and causes them to happen.

How do you fix a fixed mindset?
By developing a growth mindset. So instead of condemning yourself because of what you assume you don't have, develop the habit
of becoming the person who gets the things you thought you couldn't have. What I mean is, if you're worried you'll die alone because you're not rich or you're not attractive, figure out how to become a rich and attractive person, and do what it takes to become that person. Just because you're born with a condition or a disadvantage doesn't mean you should settle and allow things remain that way. Also remove any labels you have placed on yourself. Think if he can, then I can too.

3. Poverty mindset: many Nigerians have this mindset, and it's not their fault, it's how they were raised. The good thing about mindsets is that they can be changed. What is the poverty mindset? This is believing that you don't deserve to make a lot of money or that it is wrong to make so much money. This mindset also manifests when you're comfortable with the little you earn that you do not aim to earn more. This isn't right because anything can happen to the source of income that gives you that confidence in the first place.

How to fix a poverty mindset?
Replace it with a wealthy mindset. Always aspire to earn more than you did last month. Don't settle for a particular amount when you know you can earn much more. Also beware of the imposter syndrome that makes you feel you're not qualified to earn a certain amount of money. All the rich men you know today started from somewhere, but they never gave up, and they never limited themselves.

From today, decide to launch you 2.0

You 2.0 speaks and thinks differently.

You 2.0 will not label himself and limit himself.

You 2.0 will always look for how to become better instead of complaining about the disadvantages he has.

Want to make your first million this year?

You need to launch you 2.0

I hope this helps.

Business / 5 Helpful Books You Should Read If You Want To Make More Money by Faithymatt(f): 5:39pm On Feb 05, 2022
1. Why A students work for C students and why B students work for the government by Robert Kiyosaki- this book opened my eyes to the true meaning of financial independence and how to achieve it no matter what your career choice is. If you're someone who isn't open to changing their beliefs about money, don't bother reading this book. It'll be a waste of time.

2. Think and Grow Rich! by Napoleon Hill- this.book.is.gold!! I don't want to overhype it or anything, but this book shows you that you can actually think your way to riches. We were created with the most powerful tool in the world, but less than half of us actually know about it's power, and less than half of the half who know actually use it. Want to think your way to riches? Grab a copy of this book today.

3. Sell like crazy by Sabri Suby: this book is good for people who actually have something to sell but are struggling with
finding their ideal customers who need their products and can afford them. Read this if you want to boost your profit and sell like crazy.

4. The art of closing a sale by Brian Tracy: this book teaches how to sell to people, and not just sell, but close them. Because really how can you say you've sold something if the deal isn't closed? closing is the final stage of selling. Want to take your prospects from "hey I'm interested in your product." to "shut up and take my money", then you should read this book ASAP

5. How to sell to Nigerians: this one is specific to the Nigerian community. As a business owner whose target audience are Nigerians, you should definitely grab a copy of this book by Akin Alabi. Here, he breaks down the sales process of selling to Nigerians and how to ensure you make profit on every naira you invest in your business.

There a lot more books you can read on money, sales, and marketing, but my point is that you need to pick up the habit of reading. It'll save you time, money, and effort. Like I always say, reading is like getting all the information it took someone 10 years to gather in a few days, who wouldn't want that?

Start reading a book everyday from today, it's what successful people do.

PS: you can download these books from zlibrary or pdfdrive

Business / How To Realistically And Legitimately Grow Your Income Every Month by Faithymatt(f): 3:45pm On Feb 05, 2022
If you struggle to pay bills, and have to work several hours to keep up, or you have to sacrifice a lot to be able to afford the basics, pay attention to what you are about to read. It has the potential to change your life if you let it.

First of all, you need to know you're not alone. Thousands of other people like you struggle everyday to meet up with one bill or the other, but you know what? There are also thousands who earn enough to take care of their bills and even help others.

What is the difference between you who is struggling and the person who is not?

An influential man in the sales and marketing space in Nigeria once said, the difference between you and someone who is getting the results you want is one of three things:
1. They know something you don't
2. They are doing something you're not
3. They are doing more of something than you.

How then do you figure out what you should know to start living a little and experience ease in your finances?

Find out the people who are getting the results you want and do what they're doing i.e, model them.

One thing I have found to be common among successful people is that they know how to sell.

Gary Halbert once said, "all money is made by someone selling something to someone else"

So the first step you should take to get a bit closer to your goal is to learn how to sell. Master it. Excel at it.

There are many things you can do if you know how to sell, but the most important of them is that you'd be able to raise money whenever you need it. You'd literally become a live breathing cash machine, someone with the ability to produce money on the spot, anywhere, anytime.

The truth is you wouldn't start getting this mind blowing result in the beginning, but slowly, and gradually, your growth will become so profound, that you will begin to get everything you've ever wanted in the fastest way possible.

Let me end this by telling you about the Pareto principle.

It states that 20% of effort is responsible for 80% of the result you get. Here's what it means, in anything you do, you should focus on the 20% of activities that actually matter and are responsible for 80% of the results you'd get. This principle is exponential, so focusing on 4% of the activities that matter can give you 64% of the results you desire.

What I mean is, instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media everyday, focus on carrying out activities that will help you get most of your results. Instead of searching the internet for "how to make money online", focus on learning how to sell, and how to get the right products to sell to the right audience.

There's a lot of money to be made on the internet, and I mean, a lot.

You just have to know where to look, and what to do.
Business / How To Get Everything You Ever Want Faster Than You Ever Thought Possible! by Faithymatt(f): 7:43pm On Feb 04, 2022
Let's face it, about 90% of the things you want can be gotten with money, so really this post is about how to make enough money to get everything you ever want faster than you ever thought possible!

By the way, if you already have enough money, please stop reading this right now!

Still here? Good, because by the time you're done reading this, you will discover a proven no-fail method to kiss money worries goodbye.

Once upon a time, all you needed to make enough money to live comfortably was to go to school, get a job, and get paid every month.

This isn't another post about how "school is a scam", but a post aimed at informing you that this once effective method now longer works as well as it used to. If it did, a PhD holder with three degrees wouldn't work at a construction site as a laborer.

I don't know if you've heard of him, but Gary Halbert once said "all money is made by someone selling something to someone else"

What thise means is that you should stop waiting on the government to provideja job for you, instead sell something to someone and make your money.

You might be thinking "but I know people who have businesses and are still broke".
That's a valid thought, there are people who aren't enjoying profits from their business because they did not take out the time to learn how to actually sell.

If you're reading this and you think there's no need to learn to sell, allow me explain why I disagree.
How do you expect to convince people to let go of their hard earned money if you don't know how to sell?

How will you convince people to keep buying from you if you Don learn sales psychology?

You might not know it, but everything that happens in a sales process is intentionally done to get the prospect to buy.

So how do you make enough money to get everything you ever want faster than you ever thought possible?

Sell something to people

To reduce your risk of failing, use this simple but effective 3-step formula:

1. Learn how to sell
2. Pick a HOT product that people need
3. Find a way to put this product in front of the people who need them and sell it to them.

Do this, and you'll start having good money worries like "where should I shop today", or "where should I travel this weekend?"

I know it's easier said than done, but here's a no-fail formula to skip trial and error and start succeeding immediately.

Learn from someone who already knows how to sell.

In summary my dear, learn how to sell and eventually everything you want will be yours.

Are you working so hard and getting paid little in return? Have you sent out several proposals yet no one is considering you for the job? It's not your fault that you're facing so much rejection, you just don't have access to the right information on how to navigate the streets of Upwork to find high paying clients. Read on, and I'll hand over to you 4 powerful hacks you can use to stand out of the crowd and get picked whenever you send a proposal.

Walter Eyinnaya started freelancing in 2018. He started as a freelance copywriter working with Nigerian clients. His job then was to manage social media accounts, interact with customers, come up with creative posts and all that, but at the end of the month he was only paid N10,000. That's very little right?

Walter felt the same way and decided to start working with international clients so he could earn in dollars and spend in naira. But because he didn't have access to the right information, he did things the wrong way. He spent time spamming Facebook groups just to get clients to hire him. Over time, he got some clients, but they also underpaid him.

After 7 months, Walter decided to try out freelancing on Upwork and after discovering 4 powerful hacks, he was able to earn a total of $6000 within 4 months, with only 4 jobs!

What did Walter discover that drastically changed his story and helped him land high paying gigs?

He recently recorded a video where he explains these 4 hacks and also reveals how you can get his help and guidance to become a highly paid freelancer like him and hundreds of the students he has taught in the past.

I can grant you access to this video for free.

PS: I will be hosting an event soon where I will invite Walter to give more tips on how to land high paying clients. Walter will also answer some questions you may have about freelancing on upwork, outbounding on LinkedIn, etc. Attending this event is free provided that you register and also tell your friends about it. Reach out if you want to attend so I can tell you how to register.

PPS: Walter has a training program where he explains how to become a high paid freelancer who earns between $1000 to $10,000 per month even if you're a beginner and you've never been paid for your skill before. Reach out for more details on how you can get access to this program.

Extra tips:
Look out for more hourly paid jobs than one off jobs because they pay more and if you do the job well, you will most likely get retained by one of your clients who will also recommend you to other high paying clients.

If you follow these recommendations and work well enough to satisfy your clients, you can easily make up to $6k per month as a freelancer on Upwork. They are useful to both newbies and more experienced freelancers.

1. All time amount paid out by clients: This is a relative metric and shouldn't be your only standard for measuring high paying clients. For instance, a client who has spent over a year on Upwork and has an all time amount paid out as $20k will be better to work with than one who has spent 6 years on Upwork and has the same all time amount paid out.

2. Average hourly rate per hire: As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't apply for a client whose hourly rate is below $10 because you will most likely burnout if the work load is high and the pay is low.

3. Freelancers' feedback: The more positive feedbacks a client has, the easier the client might be to work with. You don't want to work with someone who will frustrate you and even leave a negative feedback that can affect your rating.

4. Price tag on the job: This is useful when you're dealing with a client who has no history for you to observe. If the client's offer is good enough for the work he requires, he is probably decent to work with.

Apart from having the right mindset towards freelancing and investing in information that improved his skill as a writer, Walter paid attention to these things:

1. All time amount paid out by clients
2. Clients' average hourly rate per hire
3. Feedback from freelancers
4. Price tag on the job (how much the client was willing to pay)

Paying attention to these stats helped Walter filter out low-paying clients who always gave freelancers a hard time.

According to Walter, here's exactly what you should be looking for under these stats.

You are about to read the story of how Walter Eyinnaya moved from broke and frustrated freelancer to highly paid freelancer with 100% job success on Upwork and over $6k in earnings. A thread...

In 2018, Walter was working as a freelancer for two Nigerian clients who paid him N10k per month each. Walter's job was to manage their social media accounts, come up with creative captions for their posts, and also interact with customers. He worked so hard and earned very little. At some point, he knew he needed a change in clients. He needed clients who will pay him what he deserved. He started searching for new clients on Facebook groups, and within a week, he got a client who paid him $100 to write product descriptions.

For 7 months, Walter was only earning between $100-$300 as a freelance writer. Then he decided to develop his skills and try out a new freelance platform. This was when Walter began to work as a freelancer on Upwork and in 4 months, after working for a total of 310 hours, Walter recorded total earnings of over $6k. What did Walter do differently this time and how can you apply it so you can start earning higher?
Career / Re: What Do You Hate Most About Working From Home? by Faithymatt(f): 4:31pm On Jan 10, 2022
A virtual assistant is someone who assists a business owner or any organization working remotely from home. The easiest and fastest way to get a job as a virtual assistant is to work as a freelancer and you can get clients on sites like upwork. The services you will offer depend on your skill. But even if you don't have any skill currently, you can take a training on how to become a virtual assistant so you can land well paying jobs. Career / Re: Help, What Profitable Digital Skill Can Someone In Their 30s Learn? by Faithymatt(f): 4:18pm On Jan 10, 2022
Consider affiliate marketing. It's basically helping other people sell their products and getting a commission every time he makes a sale. Since he works, he'd probably not want to do something that's time consuming so affiliate marketing is a good match for him. Also, he can start with only his phone and he can also work for foreign clients if he wishes. Learning time should take about 3-4 weeks after which he can start earning between 20-30k in a week even as a beginner before he now becomes more experienced and can earn more. Things will speed up if he has someone to teach him and mentor him.

Hi guys, please I'll appreciate your contributions on this topic.

I'll try to go straight to the point without telling unnecessary stories.

I have a brother who is doing a government job but the pay is so low he could be earning more as a laborer in a construction company. Although he's a graduate, the reason for the low pay is that he was only able to get the job using his secondary school certificate.

Now there is a child and a wife to feed. And because of "job security", I know he'll not want to leave that for something he's not sure if it'll work.

I'm a freelance writer and I know freelancing can give him a better life. However, writing is not his forte. So I want him to learn another digital skill while I put him through how he could get clients.

I know he used to be very creative as a young boy so I'm thinking graphics design. But at the same time, I'm hoping it would be a skill he can pick up and master in just a few months and start earning almost immediately.

I want to make sure I have something solid before I approach him. I'm willing to pay for courses and classes for him to attend and learn more.

If you've made it this far, I believe you have something for him and I'll be glad if you can contribute to this.
