India, China, USA are more populous than Nigeria but still experiencing economic growth relative to Nigeria.

All three have far lower birth rates at 2.2, 1.6 and 2 and higher economic growth rates than does Nigeria (Nigeria's birth rate is 5.5 with more births in the north than the South despite more poverty in the north). It's only when a country's birth rate is higher than it's economic growth rate that the country's people start to suffer and become poorer.
