Politics / Re: CJN: ‘Sharia Law Is Not Islamisation Of Nigeria’ - Islamic Scholars by Fallenhunter: 9:14pm On Dec 20, 2019 |
Muslim women should be allowed to wear the hijab in schools, the army and police etc. However, I am against sharia law not because I believe muslims shouldn't be allowed to practice their religion, but because sharia law is cruel and inhumane. No part of any religion that is cruel and inhumane should be allowed. |
Politics / Re: Risqua: Murtala Muhammed Left N7,000 In His Account As Ex Head Of State by Fallenhunter: 9:07am On Dec 03, 2019 |
7000 in 1976 is worth 221 million today (I did the calculation using current inflation which is lower than historical values) he only ruled for a year and managed to steal that much money. Let's not forget that he genocides igbos. He was more corrupt than the leaders of today. |
Celebrities / Re: Islamic Poet Dares Etinosa To Use Quran As Ashtray (Video) by Fallenhunter: 8:45am On Dec 03, 2019 |
aspiring44: It didn't stop things though. There's millions of cartoons drawn making fun of muhammad each year, they're posted online. If muslims didn't react so violently to blasphemy people would lose interest but their own actions is what inspires more blasphemy. |

Start charging parents a fixed amount for each child they give birth to. This money should be used to provide food, shelter and education to the kids. People will immediately stop having more kids than what they can afford. |

Politics / Re: Abubakar Shekau Threatens Audu Bulama Bukarti, Boko Haram Researcher by Fallenhunter: 8:00am On Nov 03, 2019 |
Solorrman: So Shekau, a man who murders children and has killed many thousands of muslims is closer to Allah than someone innocent just because that person follows the west? Is Islam mad or are you mad ? Find me where in the Quran it says that someone that follows the west is worse than someone that kills innocents. By that logic China which is killing Uyghur muslims is good because they follow the east. If according to islam someone very evil is above someone good just because that evil person follows the east and the good person follows the west, then islam is a very odd religion. 1 Like |
Family / Re: My Wife Insists No Sex Until Wedding Night Even After Our Traditional Wedding by Fallenhunter: 2:14am On Oct 31, 2019 |
What has she done wrong ? She told you she won't have sex with you until the white wedding, you thought she was joking and now that you find out she wasn't you're pushing the white wedding back because she won't have sex with you? Your intentions seem more suspicious than hers OP. If you truly want to marry her then why not just do a white wedding? Your libidos may be different but that's not the issue here. 3 Likes |

Politics / Re: LASG Set To Auction Vehicles Impounded For Violation Of Traffic Law by Fallenhunter: 12:49am On Oct 31, 2019 |
The government should not be allowed to seize vehicles for traffic offences. Selling abandoned cars and those used in smuggling is fine but not selling cars stolen from people merely for violating traffic law. |

Properties / Re: Officials Worry About Unoccupied Houses In Abuja by Fallenhunter: 7:43am On Oct 30, 2019 |
Beverlyjean: They won't be able to because the people who are already renting won't add that cost and if the people with empty houses start charging high rents because of adding these costs, they won't get renters. In the end market economics will prevent these kind of tactics. |
Properties / Re: Officials Worry About Unoccupied Houses In Abuja by Fallenhunter: 6:45am On Oct 30, 2019 |
Start charging an unoccupied property tax, this will cause developers to quickly look for tenants and will cause rental prices to drop 14 Likes |
Romance / Re: Is It Proper That My Girlfriend Still Gets Help From Her Ex? by Fallenhunter: 5:37am On Oct 30, 2019 |
Neither you nor the ex should be giving her money in an ideal world, tell her to go get a job. That being said her ex giving her money is not okay, you have the right to tell her to stop and if she leaves you, you didn't suffer any great loss. |

Balenciagabrain: Everyone in Syria and Iraq that aren't a part of Isis hate it. It created millions of refugees. What patriot are you talking about when Isis has killed more Arabs than any other people? The Arabs have never enjoyed stability. Since hundreds of years that region has been in constant war. Syrians and Iraqis aren't being called terrorists but that evil organization in those countries that is doing mass murder, torture, rape etc. Get your head out of your ass. You may hate America and that's fine but stop seeing conspiracies everywhere. 1 Like 1 Share |

Politics / Re: Sadiya Umar Farouq: 90 Million Nigerians Are Living In Poverty by Fallenhunter: 6:31am On Oct 29, 2019 |
Nigeria is an oil producing nation and 50% of its population suffers from extreme poverty. Equatorial guinea is an oil producing nation with a tiny population and 70% of its population suffers from extreme poverty. In other oil producing countries with tiny populations they give their people free housing, education, healthcare and jobs. In other oil producing countries with large populations they use the oil to develop advanced economies and to attract foreign investors thus creating opportunities and prosperity for their citizens. In Africa the government steals the resources and people's general apathy and reluctance to actually protest result in oil producing countries being some of the poorest in the world. PDP is corrupt, APC is corrupt. Both are useless yet people don't rise up. 2 Likes |

Crime / Re: Transcorp Building In Ikoyi, Lagos On Fire (Photos) by Fallenhunter: 6:08am On Oct 28, 2019 |
sonnie10: Exactly! A private firefighting service would need to collect some sort of fire insurance from all home and business owners and you know some people wouldn't pay. Would the private firefighters then allow these peoples homes/workplaces to burn down ? There's also the risk of pureposful arson to keep themselves relevant and if they mess up how do you hold them responsible? Privatizing everything is not a good idea. America privatized prisons and we can all see how bad that's been. |
Travel / Re: Life in Beijing As an International Student. by Fallenhunter: 12:32pm On Oct 27, 2019 |
Ola17: HRT is a heavy rapid transit system (Aka the dubai metro, the upcoming underground and the hyperloop should it work). LRT is light rapid transit as in Dubai's tram and bus network. Shanghai has 24 million people while Dubai has 3 million. Many of Dubai's 3 million are laborers that are shuttled to work sites from their camps and thus the real population is even smaller. Isn't it obvious that a metro would be smaller and have less lines if it needs to carry less people? I have been to Shanghai and I know it's a world class city but it just doesn't compare with dubai in the scope of infrastructure and development. All of dubai is developed while Shanghai has developed and underdeveloped districts. |
Travel / Re: Life in Beijing As an International Student. by Fallenhunter: 9:35am On Oct 27, 2019 |
Ola17: I'm comparing it purely on the basis of development. Dubai is more developed in terms of infrastructure, the environment, public services etc than is any city in China including Shanghai and yes even London and New York. Now if you want to talk about culture then sure dubai does not have much cultural development, new York is the epicenter of culture. If you want to talk about financial markets and economic opportunities then also Shanghai, New York and London are ahead but if you want to talk about pure infrastructure development then dubai leads the pack. Forget the glass buildings, skyscrapers, adequate housing and world class roads. Dubai has a modern HRT in its metro, LRTs in its bus and tram systems, an underground rail connecting it to abu Dhabi and an upcoming hyperloop. It has public health programs, free healthcare, multiple exhibitions and social events throughout the year and world class cuisine, clubs, banks etc, all for a population of 3.4 million people. 2 Likes |

Sports / Re: Man Utd Chiefs To Visit Saudi Arabia Amid Bin Salman Takeover Interest by Fallenhunter: 11:50pm On Oct 26, 2019 |
You people talk about arab money without realizing that there are 22 arab countries of which 4 have oil wealth and the rest aren't rich. Even Sudan and Mauritania are arab countries. Our elites have as much money as their elites but they spend it on nation building while our oil money is used to make some people verg fat. Take Equatorial guinea as an example. Oil wealth and very tiny population. Their people could have been as rich as the people of qatar or the UAE. Instead the government steals all the money and a majority of the country is poor. |

Politics / Re: UN Reopens Abuja Building Eight Years After Boko Haram Bombing (Pics) by Fallenhunter: 8:51pm On Oct 25, 2019 |
Reopening the building shows Boko Haram that Nigeria will not bow down to them. It will not cower in the face of their evil jihad but will instead rebuild and continue to live their lives not giving into hatred or fear while eliminating every last boko haram coward where they stand. 1 Like |
