Why shouldn't the Igbos secede and form Biafra? What has the rest of the country given them? They even call the Lagos airport after Murtala Muhammad and have his face on currency. Nigeria is a failed experiment and should the Igbos leave, the rest of the country will also disintegrate. The North remains the poorest, most illiterate part of the country that has the most problems and no desire to improve.

Nigerias army is very weak and under equipped in 2019. However outside nations may help the Nigerian forces. In such a case the Igbo would have to have to be militarily capable of defeating not just Nigerias army but also outside nations.

see what you say like human interaction is black and white! this is same nonsense that happens in happens in every work place.

i think Artificial intelligence is developing very fast already and it should come to a point very quickly that it can take over from humans in public work places so that we can finally have Humans out of that toxic place as soon as possible! but as long as we have humans there, it is important issues like this are not judged as white or black!

do you decide whom you get attrated to? do you think romance, abd i do not mean smooching, but romance, is a good and unique thing? why then do you think it is fair to place these ridiculous restrictions on whom to get involved with and whom not to get involved with, and what place that can happen or where it cannot happen as long as they can still perform their official roles and evidence has to be provided if we think they are failing in their roles DUE TO THEIR INVOLVEMENT WITH ONE ANOTHER!

the BBC is a big hypocrite and dabbles alot into feminism. not too long ago, i listened to that station when a man was being interviewed on Mike Pence's statement that he won't like to be in the same room with a lady not his wife, and wouldn't shake hands with women. the called him out and said isn't that ''sexist'', the same word very famous with the feminists. despite this guys very innocent attemp to explain why and how reasonable the VP's decision is, the useless journalist still went on trying to paint the VP with a black brush. they are the ones that champion freedom and the exact opposite of shariah in the world, but would embark on this stupid acts like this to rubbish men.

anyone who thinks the BBC is doing this because it cares about the society is just plain naive! if it truely cares, why doesn't it go out and do this kind of stupid documentary on the ladies that offer themselves to lecturers for these same marks? or that's a less social ill? but of course doing that would shame women and women's sexual psychology (we all know how men in position of power and authority trip alot of women and make them wet in their pants from miles away!) is the reason the BBC, who is deep in the feminist religion, will not do it!
Oh believe me I know that BBC are hypocrites. They are also scared to insult Islam in any way and will totally avoid any news that shows Islam negatively. I think Islam like Christianity has good and bad and should be covered fairly but BBC won't do that. They are also obsesses with feminism and while I think the upliftment of women is necessary I don't think modern feminism is good or does that.

That being said I don't agree with you on the other parts of what you say. Even though romances do happen there's rules for a reason to make sure that bias isn't happening and if a lecturer can't help but fall in love with someone who he is teaching, he should quit his job or change universities. I also think it's good that BBC investigated and brought this case to public knowledge because while they are hypocrites and biased, they don't make up news. This is an issue that's actually happening and needs to be fixed

Yes some women spread their legs for lecturers too and if we started sending lecturers to prison or removing them from their job it won't matter if these women spread their legs, the lecturer will just throw them out of his office and won't give them grades.

Isn't it unfair to male students that study hard if those females just get grades by spreading their legs ? Isn't it unfair to the females that get blackmailed and forced into this by Randy lecturers ? Stopping this can only do good.

if ladies preaebt themselves for sex, the lecturer can accept or decline! if the lecturer accepts it, it is up to him, and it is consensual! it would only be wrong if he did it to award marks and evidence if that has to be shown!

but a lecturer having an affair with a student, UNIVERSITY STUDENT, NOT SECONDARY OR PRIMARY SCHOOL, IS ABSOLUTELY THEIR BUSINESS!
Fair point but most lecturers won't be unbiased. In such a case where a lecturer and student are having a sexual relationship it should only be allowed if the student is not in any class taught by the lecturer. Only then can we be sure there is no bias. Police departments and offices in the US often follow the same policy.

Who cares ? Nigerians are too lazy to protest and change anything! In Sudan, in Algeria in Egypt they protested to throw out bad leaders. In Nigeria you just accept things as they are. Nigerians will protest and destroy property over a few xenophobic attacks in South Africa but won't protest the destruction of millions of Nigerian lives by bad leaders.

The attitude of some people on this thread shows why this doumentary needed to be made. How can you excuse the evil actions of the lecturers ? Even if some female students willingly do it is it not the lecturers duty to rise above and beyond the temptation? Is it not their actual job to do so? And what about the women that are blackmailed and raped by the lecturers ?

Fisher007:
The truth is bitter.
I hope you are all ready to swallow it.

Firstly let me commend their effort in this video. It was great and I am happy this is an eye opener which we already know about it.

Now my problem is the story is just one-sided. And I don't like one-sided story to make people feel good or convince themselves.

Our parents, grand parents, great grand parents knew about this sex for favours or marks thing. Even our uncles and aunts or boses still practice this on the younger ones. Keep your eyes open and don't come here and form you don't see it.

Now it is a choice if you want to get involved or not. It has practically been existing eversince. And yet some of us didn't get involved or participate in it. Not because we are holy (trust me we have our own bad habits). But we choose not too. Simple.

One thing I have learnt in life is you can never be used or influenced into doing what you don't want especially when you have a strong will and conviction.

The story is one-sided and it gets on my nerves. Do you know that the amount of students (both male and female student ) that offer themselves voluntarily for this sex for grades is way more than the ones the lecturer force or convince too.

Trust me you all will be amazed that most students even seduce, pay for hotel rooms voluntarily for lecturers to sleep with them. They purposely track lecturers, visit their lodge and practically rape this lecturers. This then makes most lecturers think all students want to be involved in this scheme.

Everyone here on nairaland are mostly hypocrites. You all want to tell me you didn't know about this even in your university years in Naija uni. To the extents some of you even knew your friends both male and especially female who will never attend lectures but will come out with grade A and B. You knew they did it from year one to year four. Even final year project was still through this scheme.

Do you want to tell me all lecturers force them to do it all through those years?

We are all just hypocrites and we are lying to each other. The truth is it will not stop. Especially with the current economy.

Am sure to gain admission now in Nigerian universities they will do the same scheme, with the high population of students that cannot gain admission every year because we lack institutions to admit them. Hmm.

Well I will end my case here. Accept what you see. There is nothing happening that is new under the sun. It might just have be upgraded or modified, but it is not new.

Simple truth but hard to swallow.
So what? So what If there's students doing it voluntarily and renting hotel rooms for it? When people offer bribes to govt officials should we excuse the corruption just because the people offered the bribe ? We expect those officials to reject the bribe and stay honest just like we expect the professors and lecturers to reject the students sexual advances and to stay honest and do their bleeping job

Nonsense

The Europeans are at it again. Hardly has the useless BBNaija ended that another episode of trash has begun to grace the dailies.

Let me first ask critical thinkers? When will Europeans release a full documentary or do undercover agency to nail the underhand government officials in the corridors of power?

When will Europeans release a full documentary detailing how oil is being illegally siphoned and how dubious, overbloated oil contracts are awarded? Hmmn, just maybe they're beneficiaries. smiley

When will these Europeans release a full documentary detailing how they took for themselves our Benin artefacts, as well as old precious works of art for centuries without returning them?

When will the pinkish-skinned masters release a full documentary on how their men invaded Africa and sowed seeds of discord, pitting tribe against tribe, supplying ammunition and creating wars within us, while shipping our resources to hinterland?

Are they also ready to tell us how they came and took our ancestors, with their utterly useless bible in one hand and a gun in their back pocket, how they promised good life but took our men to become tireless slaves in their plantations; punched holes in their lips and padlocked them so they couldnt eat even a seed ?

Are they ready to let you know how they took our women, our mothers up to the third, fourth generation... and how they turned them to sex slaves?

With all their media brainwashing of the perfect model body that is characterised by a slim lady with no breast and nyansh, you only have to feel for them because that is the best they have to offer on the average. Their women no deh get nyansh, no deh get breast, yet their pictures would grace the magazine covers because of their deluded sense of self-worth and racial superiority.

On the contrary, go to a motel and you would see how their men pursue black women. Our women are thick and endowed and that is just how they love it despite the pretense.

I want you guys to know that the whites and Europeans back then did the most unimaginable things in the world to our women. They bleeped them day and night, at will - practically stripped them off of any sense of worth left, and made them feel completely inferior. There were just no cameras then to record all these things.

Now I wonder what gave them the effrontery to step foot in Naija and begin to do nonsense undercover agency when there is still oil theft, corruption and other pressing damning things pushing Nigeria to the brink of ruin.

Yes I get it, there are many bad Nigerian lecturers out there, taking advantage of our ladies.

BUT WILL THEY ALSO DO A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT LADIES THAT ARE DETERMINED TO F**K LECTURERS, SOMETIMES JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT?

Sometimes for the prestige, say "I dey date lecturer"?

And just so you know, many of the sexual encounters that occur between lecturers and students do not always involve 'marks'. In the lecturer's mind, hin just dey chop fresh fish. Na only the bae dey always dey think say because she serve punna, her score go boost.

How that one con take be lecturer fault? He's simply committing fornication; that's it. Oh because he's a lecturer, he should stay faithful to his wife -- same wife wey over 100 various d*cks don tidy when she dey her 20's? undecided

Make una dey use brain abeg.

Attached is a picture of a 'moral' European adulating our mother up to about the fourth generation.
Corruption in Nigeria is well known. What's the point of making a documentary on it ? Why don't Nigerias media powerhouses make a documentary on the issue ? Why do you want Europeans to come and do so? The sex for grades documentary was made by Nigerians but had to be broadcast on BBC because Nigerian media didn't care.

The fake oil contracts you talk about are a part of Nigeria's extreme corruption.

Yes the Europeans did slavery and colonization and did horrible things during both just as the Arabs did in East Africa but unlike the Arabs the Europeans have owned up to their past, there's several documentaries on slavery and the horrible things that happened.

You say the lecturers are just committing fornication but in the documentary they clearly pressure the students and trade favours in return for sex. That isn't just fornication. It's abusing your position to rape someone.

A lecturer invited you to his office ....
You deliberately accepted his invitation knowingly fully well what the invitation entails even though you don't ... Why not ask him politely... Sir any problem or why should I be invited please...
Now your mind is not settled... Why not go with a friend awaiting to always distract you when the conversation is getting longer and resulting to something else yet you're agreeing....
You went there alone on leggings, sleeveless, showing your breast very juicy saying nothing will happen after all you'll shout.... But you didn't reject you went ahead...

My point is even though you must go to his office why not dress like deeper life member or d way Mallemas dress covering their face and feet with gown to his office.

See some this girls are the major problems not the lecturer...
The lecturers have a duty to behave responsibly no matter if their student is naked in front of them and begs for dick. Even then they shouldn't be bleeping their students. What about the lecturers who blackmail the student, failing them or passing them based on if they spread their legs ? If you run a business and your emoloyee is giving away free stuff because the customer has sex with them will you run after the customer and say your employee has 0 blame ? Of course not right ? You'd fire the employee.

Without help from the British the Nigerian army would never have beaten them and this was over 30 years ago.

The government should coordinate with the igbos and set up domestic arms manufacturing facilities. The Nigerian army would never suffer for weapons or ammo if this was done

Sorry but all those Countries you listed are not developed nations. You could term them developing but they are not developed. By Nigeria's standard they might seem developed, but by Western Standards, they are not.

The "developed Caribbean Countries"are not of the black race. The ones that are of the Black race are Jamaica and Haiti and those places are shit holes as well. Just as bad as the ones in Africa.
Botswana and Seychelles are pretty developed but okay by western standards they aren't developed. They are rapidly developing though with high GDP growth rates, good human rights records and rapidly improving infrastructure. Botswana in particular is quite developed and Ina few more years will be at European levels of development.

Jamaica and Haiti aren't the only black Caribbean islands but even if we consider only Africa nations that are moving in the right direction like Botswana, Rwanda even Ethiopia (although it has a long way to go) show that African nations can progress and become great.

Never ever thought i would find a thread with so many like-minded people. Nigeria is a shit hole. But the problem is not just Nigeria and its people per se, It's the problem of the Black man. There is something fundamentally wrong with the black man. He is backwards and animalistic. Barely evolved.

Like people before me noted, this is not self hatred. I am a black man but i choose not to be blind to what reality has shown me. There is not a single developed black Nation in the whole of this planet. Not One.

There is no hope for Nigeria, i just don't see it anywhere. Thus, like my fellow like minded people here, we are soon emigrating out to saner environments whereby we can adopt and continue to progress with the progressive cultures out there.
There are developed black nations. Seychelles, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia (to an extent) etc. Rwanda is rapidly developing and Ethiopia is moving in the right direction. Many Caribbean countries are well developed. What is true for Nigeria and some of the 'loser' black countries isn't true for all of Africa.

Nanatrendy:
I am not a nigerian but the reason why nigeria and other African countries are not developed is because we are divided within ourselves and the west is playing Africans like chess. An example is ivory coast and ghana together we produce 60% of the world's cocoa but because we are competing against ourselves the west determine the price they will pay for our cocoa they give the farmers peanuts and make billions in the west, now imagine if both countries were sitting down together decided to sell refined cocoa and bargain as a unit we would be calling the shots in chocolate production. Also imagine if all african countries decided to shut our borders to foriegn products and decided if the west do not set up factories here their products will not be sold on our markets ,imagine the number of jobs it will create and the number of opportunities we will get. The thing is no matter how hard any african country tries on its own they wouldn't get far because the west are united in maintaining africa as it's market , now china too is taking advantage of us. Until Africans plan as one unit we would not get anywhere.
That is not smart, shutting borders isn't the solution. What would be smart is if Ivory coast, Ghana etc sat together and set up chocolate manufacturing facilities. Milk, coca, sugar are all available in West Africa. We make the chocolate and then sell it to the west and to other parts of the world. We create our brand and export the finished chocolate and thus own the chocolate industry all together. That's true intelligence.

You missed out the part where jealousy and wickedness won’t allow us. Nigeria is a country where everyone is working really hard to make sure nothing works for anyone but themselves. Not just Nigeria, but Africa as a whole. A black man lacks the will to rule! It’s facts. One time a police man seized a bike mans bike due to 50 naira. Bike man was literally crying and begging he doesn’t have money, Oga even removed and emptied his cloths yet police man refused, and for what 50 naira?? It’s that the fault of the government as we all tend to blame the government for everything! NO THIS IS A TYPICAL BLACK MAN WITHOUT ANY FORM OF AUTHORITY ASIDE FROM CARRYING A GUN AND BEEN PART OF A FAILED SYSTEM CALLED THE NIGERIAN POLICE FOR, being really WICKED and unreasonable to his fellow Nigerian. Please TELL ME, how can we grow as a country with looking out for each other??
Don't compare all black countries to Nigeria. Seychelles, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia etc have had great leaders that developed the countries and made them on par with European countries with peoples rights respected and good business practices. Even Rwanda is quickly becoming one of the best countries. Nigeria lacks people that care and leaders that wish to genuinely improve it.
Nairaland GeneralNigerian Neurosurgeon Takes Pay Cut To Perform Free Operations by Fallenhunter(op): 3:18pm On Oct 06, 2019
Lagos, Nigeria (CNN) — Neurosurgeons are known as skilled operators. But straddling surgeries across two continents? That's a different skill entirely.
Dr. Olawale Sulaiman, 49, is a professor of neurosurgery and spinal surgery and chairman for the neurosurgery department and back and spine center at the Ochsner Neuroscience Institute in New Orleans. He lives in Louisiana, but splits his time between the US and Nigeria, spending up to 12 days each month providing healthcare in the country of his birth -- sometimes for free.
Born in Lagos Island, Lagos, Sulaiman says his motivation comes from growing up in a relatively poor region.
"I am one of 10 children born into a polygamous family. My siblings and I shared one room where we often found ourselves sleeping on a mat on the floor," he told CNN.

His parents could not afford his university tuition, but Sulaiman said at the age of 19, he received a scholarship to study medicine in Bulgaria through the Bureau for External Aid, a Nigerian government program targeted at improving the quality of life for Nigeria's most vulnerable communities.
Sulaiman said the scholarship opened many doors and, in turn, he feels responsible to give back through healthcare. "Africans who have had the privilege of getting outstanding training and education abroad must mobilize their network of influence to transform our continent," he said.
According to a report by the Global Health Workforce Alliance, Nigeria's healthcare system does not have enough personnel to effectively deliver essential health services to the country's large population.
Sulaiman says he wants to use his knowledge to improve the healthcare system. "As I often do, I consulted with my loving and devoted wife for advice. We both decided that giving back was the only option for both of us, and for our family. We have never looked back," he added.
Starting a health company
In 2010, Sulaiman established RNZ Global, a healthcare development company with his wife, Patricia. The company provides medical services including neuro and spinal surgery, and offers health courses like first aid CPR in Nigeria and the US.

Noting a shortfall in physician-scientists (doctors with a combined degree in medicine and a PhD) like himself, Sulaiman decided it was important to extend his expertise to Nigeria too.
"I would use my vacation times for the medical missions, which were also planned with education and training sessions. We donated a lot of medications, equipment and hands-on training on surgical techniques," he said.
Sulaiman said he negotiated a 25% pay cut with his American employer in exchange for longer holidays to Nigeria to pursue his passion. RNZ Global has treated more than 500 patients and provided preventative medicine to up to 5,000 people in the US and Nigeria.

Dr. Yusuf Salman, a neurosurgeon based in Abuja, Nigeria has known Sulaiman since 2006. In 2013, through a partnership with MPAC, a faith-related organization, both doctors worked together to provide free spinal surgeries to underprivileged Nigerians in Kwara, north-central Nigeria.
"(Sulaiman) came to Nigeria with implants and equipment from the US so that we could operate for free on people with spine-related problems. He was the lead surgeon and I and a couple of others assisted him at the time. We did about 10 surgeries," Salman said.
"Over the years, I have learned a lot about minimally invasive spine surgery just from working closely with him. It is a complex procedure and we don't have a lot of experts on it over here," he added.

Life-changing surgery
One of his former patients Philomena Arah described his surgeries as "life-changing."
Arah met Sulaiman for the first time in Lagos in 2018 through a friend. Before meeting him, she had spent more than 15 years trying to find a permanent solution to her frequent excruciating back pain.
"Walking was unbearable, I couldn't even stand straight. I was not happy. The pain stopped me from socializing, from participating in many things. I could not even exercise the way I wanted," Arah told CNN.
She would later find out from Sulaiman and his team that she needed a laminectomy, a surgical procedure where part or all of a vertebral bone is removed to relieve pressure on the spinal cord. According to Arah, the surgery in Nigeria cost considerably less than if she had traveled to the US for the procedure.

RNZ Global also has a not-for-profit arm called RNZ foundation. The foundation, registered in 2019, focuses on managing patients with neurological diseases for free.
"We offer free services and surgery for those that are less privileged and cannot afford the cost," said Blessing Holison, patient care coordinator for RNZ Global.
Sulaiman hopes to establish at least four neuroscience centers in Nigeria in the coming years.
"I believe that happiness doesn't come from what you get, rather, it comes from what you give," he said. "There is always room to give; you don't need to be a millionaire to give."

If what you've written is true OP then leave her. You owe her nothing. She is a liar, a manipulator and a cheat. Even if you can live with her disease she is an extremely dishonest and manipulative woman and who knows what she can lie to you about or manipulate you about in the future. Is this the kind of woman you want as the mother of your son's ? My advice is leave her, prove she's insane and a liar/manipulator in court and get custody of your son's.

Realbarc:
Thanks for your objectives. Some people never see the bright side of evry situation

India , Pakistans ,United Kingdom United States citizens are the highest migrants to Canada.

This says a lot about Canada and not the country the immigrants are migrating from.

Nigeria contributes to the less than 2percent of the immigrants.

Many are coming to Niaja as expatriates and are making it here. Go to the airport and see how many Boeing plane with capacity of more than 350 passengers land every day.

When I am migrating to any country or any Nigerian t will not be based on country, but rather if I have the capacity to sustain myself and family. Not going to struggle or start life all over again and hoping for better. I can make it here easier than depending on warfare .
You forgot Chinese, they make up the most immigrants in Canada and USA
RomanceRe: Catch my fiancee exposing our stuff to her ex by Fallenhunter: 9:12am On Sep 27, 2019
You are lucky OP. She is giving clear signs that she will cheat if she hasn't already and she doesn't respect you enough. You are lucky to find this out before marriage. Leave her and don't look back.
InvestmentHow To Start Pig Farming In Nigeria by Fallenhunter(op): 9:51pm On Sep 25, 2019
Pig farming also known as piggery is another aspect of farming in Nigeria that is making smart investors and entrepreneurs huge money on daily basis. If you are into this pig farming, you sure wouldn’t lack money again for the rest of your life. The reason is because Pig meet is in high demand in Nigeria and sells very very fast in the market. Another reason is that Pig reproduce in large number and grows very fast.

A single pig gives birth to as much as 15 piglets at a time, making it one of the most reproducing livestock in the world. Baby pigs is known as shoat, farrow or piglet. Male pig is referred to as the boar while female is sows. As a group they are called a herd or drove.

Despite the huge profitability of Piggery, many Nigerian are still overlooking this goldmine because of ignorance of how it works. While some don’t just get the fact that it is a big business – many who engage in it do it as part time business but if you can engage in this business fully, you are sure going to smile to the bank very soon.

A fully grown Pig goes for as high as N30,000 depending on the weight. Now Imagine for a year you are able to rear hundred to maturity, you will be making N3 Million from the sales. If you can take it higher – lets say like 2,000 pigs in year, you will be making upward of N60 Million. Considering how fast pigs reproduces, it wouldn’t be a very much big deal to come up with 100 pigs in a year. Then, how do you go about setting up your pig farm? Below are the important guides

1. Secure A Breeding Ground
Depending on how you plan to feed your pigs, a plot of land may just be okay for small scale starting but if you can acquire a large farm land (from 5 acres) that will be better so that your pig can graze in the open and retire to the pen where they’d continue feeding and playing. Land is your biggest investment in this business. Once you have it, you’re half way done.

Look for land in a rural area where you can get it cheaper. 1acre of land in a rural area will be from N200,000 x how many you want. Do your stuffs there and transport your goods to the town. Some butcher will even be coming to your farm to buy, saving you cost of transportation.

It is good to raise pigs in pasture by leaving them occasionally to root around in the fields where they can find plants to eat, and that can only be achieved when you have large enough farm land (Pasture Ground) to cater for this. As they mature, you take care so that they do not wander away.

2. Build Standard Pens
Big pen is important if you don’t want your pigs to injure themselves. A good and specious pen is also important to keep the pigs healthy and free from diseases and contamination. Proper drainage is needed too to avoid water becoming stagnant in your pen which could attract insects and other harmful pets to harm your pigs.

To avoid your pigs getting overly dirty, you need to build a water pool where they can play, swim as pigs likes swimming, and cool themselves which is important to their well being. Changing the water and refilling the pool as frequently as possible will ensure that they are clean all the time. If you are keeping them outdoor, shelter should be build for them.

3. Buy Healthy Piglets
To ensure healthy farm, you need to make sure the piglets you are about to start your farm with are health. Buy from trusted source and make sure the ones you are buying has history of vaccination.

Buy as much as you wants to start with but don’t start with too many. It is advisable to start with small number and increase gradually. This way, you will be able to learn the rope and you grow and anything go wrong at the initial stage, your risk will be minimal.

Talk To Veterinary Doctor – You need the services of vet doctors for regular check up and vaccination as well as feeding and nutrition advice. Pigs generally eats what human being eat and doe not present much worries when it comes to feed.

4. Employ Workers
Employ 4 – 5 persons if your pigs are up to 100. If you are starting on a smaller scale, you may need lesser number of worker 1 – 2 workers who will be assisting in the cleaning of the pigs and the pens, feeding the pigs and making sure they are well behaved and other things necessary.

5. Feeding Is Important For Pig Farming
Just like human being, Pigs eat a wide variety of foods, anything human can eat, they can eat. Like human being as well, they need balanced diet such as fibre, energy, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals to thrive. Feed will take the major chunk of your spending in the farm.

Pigs, like all animals, must have constant access to clean fresh drinking water. As well as tipping the trough to make a wallow, pigs will also stand in the water trough and wash their dirty faces in it, so it needs to be checked regularly, cleaned out and refilled. Galvanised troughs are robust and easy to clean, and not too easy for the pigs to tip over. Automatic drinkers are available but aren’t half as much fun for the pigs

Put all these in place and you are as good as having started your business. There is nothing a good as being in business you are sure of profit; Pig farming is one of such business. All you need to do is to feed and take care of them. Do that proper and watch them multiply in three fold.
