Ghana did it when their inflation and economy was worse than ours is today. How come more than ten years later they haven't experienced the above.

Allowing the naira notes to keep being fazed out because of inflation is itself a dangerous economics.

So they experienced exactly what I described above. Ghana made 1 unit of its new currency equal to 10,000 units of its old currency. Thus, even though it lost 80% of value, 1 dollar is now 5.43 Ghanaian cedis instead of 10,000 cedis as in the old currency. However when the new Ghanian cedi was introduced, 1 USD was equal to 1 Cedi.

Now imagine they had not made 10,000 cedis equal to 1 new cedi but had made 10 cedis equal to 1 new cedi. In that case 1 dollar would have been 1000 new cedi at launch and would be 5430 cedis today, half of the value of the old currency. Thus the exact same thing happened to Ghana's currency as I said will happen to Naira. If we make a new Naira then let's at least make 200 Naira to 1 New Naira so it will still remain a low number even when it loses value. Unless we fix inflation and other economic issues the currency will continue to devaluate.

Why? Instead give her one house and give the rest of the flats to other poor people who deserve it. That would make a much bigger impact and you'd help reduce poverty.

How would we do this ? If you mean print new currency so that 1 unit note of the new currency will equal 10 Naira then it's possible but not only will it be very expensive, the new currency will immediately undergo some devaluation because of speculation and peoples negative outlook on the economy. So 1 unit note will quickly become equal to 8 or 7 Naira which will devalue the economy. After that if inflation continues at current levels and gdp growth is slow then the currency will further devalue.

A better idea is to let the Naira remain where it is and focus on fixing the economy. The naira may or may not improve but 200,000 Indonesian Rupiah is equal to 1 USD but the Indonesian economy is much stronger than ours is and the people are richer..

The JF17 is a Chinese designed and built jet that Pakistan has 50% ownership of because they invested 50% in the project and because these jets were designed for and are used by the Pakistani air force (China found the jets too weak for their own air force).

They're cheap jets designed mainly to bomb terrorists and we're buying them for that purpose. We may be contracting it from Pakistan but it's a Chinese designed and built jet and not a Pakistani one so we don't have to worry about it crashing or failing.

Why would I lie ? People can wear what they want in the streets, in malls and restaurants etc. As long as you aren't naked or very inappropriately dressed, you're fine. Also most women in Dubai absolutely do not wear the hijab. Google photos from Dubai's malls or restaurants and see. Even the ones that do will often closely wrap it showing their hair, like they do in Iran. I have no reason to lie to you all and many arab countries are not as extreme as Saudi Arabia.

I lived in Dubai and women wear Bikinis here. Short skirts are very common. You're allowed to wear whatever you want as long as you aren't naked. Many women here don't wear a hijab or niqab. I think it's only among Nigerians we believe that all Arabs dress like this.

If you want light 24/7, you have to pay the kind of bills that would help Nigeria afford light 24/7.

Back when NEPA was around, Nigerians and their government agencies owed NEPA money, stole power , vandalised power lines and cables, and still turned around and expected light 24//7.

Today that we have discos...the same thing is happening. Add the fact that the laws put in place to establish the DISCOS in essence allow the government to set the prices the DISCOS charge. Meaning DISCOS don;t have enough money to pay GENCOS, and to raise funding for the government

And the government and the people meanwhile are not paying their bills.

And in the meantime, we waste billions on BigBrother, gambling, looting, Parties, etc. But we refuse to pay a living bill to our DISCOS...and we expect DISCOS to give us light...on what money??

Time we faced the truth. You cannot get N300000000000 service on just N3000. Allow DISCOS to set their prices, which in turn will bring in more investment, and eventually better power supply. Pay your bills on time....because most Nigerians don;t pay up, and are making things diffiuclt for those of us who actually pay our bills.

I'm sad that this is the case. Additionally I feel that the govt should provide subsidies to bring the price of rice down and to destone local rice until both these issues are resolved.

The sudden increase in price may not be the result of a supply shortage but may also be because demand for local rice has shot up. In fact, given the amount the price has increased I think the increase is more a result of increased demand than a supply shortage. All the people that were eating foreign rice are now forced to buy local increasing demand.

A country does not have to be food independent to be successful. There are a lot of rich countries that import their food needs. That being said improving farming is a great way to not only reduce poverty but also to help improvised agricultural zones which in Nigeria's case is the north. Bolstering rice self sufficiency will help reduce northern poverty and will make Nigeria more capable in meeting it's local food needs. Overall a good move but why does the govt only plan for the north?

Intelligent, beautiful and making Nigeria proud. Nigeria's only problem is that good leaders lime this dont come to power in Nigeria. Instead they come to power in the places, far from home, that they have emigrated to because they, unlike here, recognize ability. Could a gay Igbo person win the right to lead the nation?
