After the famous speech that night my dares for fun are caged, I really wanna be calm and study hard for my exams, even though my feelings for Angela heightens but I still had it caged, It's twelve days to our exam, have nt lay low for a while avoiding trouble as much as possible and giving Angie the devil may care kinda look, I decided to at least participate in last football match pre-exam I can't keep letting off,all the fun I can have.
Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong! The big catholic bell chime, it's another day for school,most importantly the final game between my college sartorius international and our arch rival omensal age,lept out of bed, rush through shower,eating and my morning exercise,left for school(door closes)
It is the 83rd minute into the match as the away team are boasting the game will end as a stalemate, having thrashed us 3 nil at their home, I was exhausted,having lost all hope, my team depended on me having score the winning goal in the last tournment and the omensals are really whipping our asses definitely they are worth the trophy, Ishola mutantis who also happen to be one of the key players in our team was so disappointed has I have lost three good goals on target(he approaches me),he whispered a quick trick into my ears and for the first time since the living-dead party, I trusted him ,our team has got 3minutes left to make a difference or our so much envisioned title defence,would be tailored right at our home, the goal keeper make a quick pass to the center back which lash out a lob pass to mutantis, having remembered our plan I run for the post,and right there, a spin pass was laid down for me, I had the goal in my head, I was so sure this would end at the back of the net, I make a quick dribbl e of the defenders and just as I was about slotting home the winner, I was bitten on my calf by the falling defender, he has pulled my Achilles's tendon, my foot went drab and right inside the box eighteen I fell( the crowd stood up expecting a goal,they all scream with a disappointing awwwww treatment) the referee blew the whistle it was a penalty, I was carried out I couldn't continue the game, feeling really disappointed as I couldn't produce the winning shot everyone expects me to take, I decided to settle down amongst the crowd and watch the penalty.
Ishola beautifully delivered the goal and that caps an amazing reign for the sartorius, feel awfully despite the win, I moved out of the crowd and silently walk home not wanting the medal nor the fame, just when I thought it's not gonna end so good, Angela popped up and gave me the hero hugs, that rekindle the passion in me, and I simply muttered thanks, we both walked for sometime before we path ways and I couldn't help but made her laugh all through despite my not so good walking stride...I winked at her and gave her a surprise kiss, turned my back as she stood wondering what hit her, deep withing I have wanted to try that daring kiss again and I was happy I went for it.
