BEWARE. IT IS SNAKE SEASON! DUE TO THE HEATWAVE AND HIGH TEMPERATURES CURRENTLY IN NIGERIA, SNAKES, ESPECIALLY COBRAS, SEEK REFUGE IN COOLER PLACES LIKE INSIDE HOMES. SAFETY TIPS 1. Avoid leaving windows open for too long. Cobras and Mambas can reach heights that are very high. 2. Avoid leaving your front doors open for fresh air in the evenings. These reptiles are absolutely STEALTHY (too quiet). You won't hear or see them go inside your house. 3 Before sitting under the tree that has that cooling shade, check the branches that there are no snakes lurking in the branches. 4. Check your bed and surrounding before you go to bed, cobras are notorious for hiding under the sheets. 5. Avoid the age old trend of liking to chill outside of the house, with mattresses and wrappers in the evening. Most reptiles are nocturnal (hunt at night and more effective) 6. Not only snakes might bite you, but also the age old human enemy; the centipede (Mosithaphala), which is fast and very venomous. 7. Clear bushes round your house. They attract rats and mice which are the favourite snacks of the most dangerous snake’s favorite meal. 8. Buy snake repellent powder and pour it round your yard. You will definitely decrease the chances of a snake ever visiting your home by 90%. Beware of confronting snakes that get into your homes. Some snakes can be killed easily, others like the black mamba are very cocky. If threatened, they will chase you at an alarming speed and give multiple bites while still on the chase; and bitten victims may not live to see the next forty minutes. So, just be very careful when trying to kill those snakes. Stay well and be safe. It's snake season. It's very hot and they are highly active and get agitated and angry very fast. Keep sharing as you may be saving lives. Please do have a wonderful day!!!

#FactsAboutTwins The Different Types of Twins There are 7 different kinds of twins, categorized as: Identical, Fraternal, Half-Identical, Mirror Image Twins, Mixed Chromosome Twins, Superfecundation and Superfetation. Normally, except the first two kinds, others are known to be quite rare to occur. All these twins, apart from similar faces have some varied characteristics. 1) Mirror Image twins: These twins will often have “mirror images” of their features, such as hair whorls that run clockwise in one and counter clockwise in the other, a birthmark on the right shoulder of one and the left shoulder of the other, etc. There is no specific test for determining if twins are mirror-image. The determination is made by observation only. 2) Half-Identical twins: These are the type of twins who share half their genes in common (from the mother) and the other halfdifferent (from the two sperms). They share some features of identical twins and some features of fraternal twins and thus are called half-identical twins. 3) Mixed Chromosome twins: This occurs if two separate sperms fertilize two separate eggs which then fuse, producing individuals with different sets of chromosomes. Some have been identified to have more than one distinct red blood cell type and individuals who are both XX and XY (the sex chromosomes – XX being female and XY being male.) It is very rare, and less than 25 cases have been identified as yet. 4) Superfetation: Superfetation is the occurrence of another pregnancy during an ongoing pregnancy. It happens when there is fertilization of an ovule by a sperm cell while a conceptus is already present in the womb. 5) Superfecundation: Twins can have different fathers. One well known case was describedin 1810 in the United States. A woman had both a white and a black lover, and she became pregnant and gave birth to twins, one white and the other black. Each twin had a different father. This is called superfecundation. 6) Fraternal twins: Twins that are male and female or have different blood types can easily be determined as fraternal. Fraternal twins can share many similarities in appearance just like any brother or sister of the same family. 7) Identical twins: Identical twins start out as genetically identical as they have the same genes. They are formed by a fertilized egg dividing into two separate individuals. They are always of the same sex. Which one is your favourite? ~Emex |

While I was teaching at the University of Lagos, as a young lecturer, in the department of Public Law in the Faculty of Law, there were 3 typists in the department. The chief typist, senior typist, and the junior typist. Because in those days before laptops and personal computers, typists in universities had to do a lot of work and they were very important because you always needed to type all your materials. When there was work to do, what l discovered was that the chief typist would disappear. He works only till 4 pm. The senior typist would be nowhere to be found. But a gentleman called Adereni the junior typist, who only had his school certificate, was remarkably hardworking. Sometimes I would drop him off at his home at 1am. Years after I was working as an adviser to the then Attorney-General of the Federation Hon. Bola Ajibola, who later became a judge of the World Court. While in the court at The Hague, in the Netherlands, one day he called me and asked if I could recommend a good secretary who is hard working and could do long judgments. I had three options, chief typist, senior or this junior typist, but the junior typist at a time had only school certificate, he didn’t have any other qualification but l choose him. He got to the Hague, and typically worked hard and diligently. Every judge in the court wanted him to work with them. He later moved his family over to the Hague and got degrees and made a good living for himself. One day he remembered me and actually sent me a car.

Why can't you deliver yourself from self imposed delusion and malady and recognize that the Redeemer's University is the about the first institution with such medical facility. You should crying why your aged universities do not possess such and that it's the Church's that are blazing the trail. You have criticised the fees and you are so blind to any achievement. joebeckz:It is unfortunate the way 'redeemer' is used. He any one knows who is the Redeemer and the fellow himself is redeemed ( not just IMHO to church that has that name or any other), will be referring a human being as a 'redeemer'. There's nothing spiritual about this. The common English dictionary definition even Abhors such loose usage. |

1st salvo: *Ede Rhema Adikpe* Neither have i found any muslim cleric running round the earth with the gospel, winning souls, airing Radio and TV gospel broadcasts, making devotionals, financing healing schools, packing out stadia and spaces in crusades to impact lives etc. They don't need one..as they do nothing with it. Pastors however need more than just private jets! Yea✊ When the President sends you, you're blessed cus he finances all your expenses! God is not unfaithful not to do same and more! And when the Monarch of the Universe is financing you, what is private jet? Their Master owns the world. He said "the Cattle upon a thousand Hills are mine". He's got all! So relax. Poverty has no room around these men 2nd Salvo: *Abdul-mujeeb Bayo Adebolajo* Well the guy is right in a sense but also ignorant in another sense. You may not see muslim clerics in Nigeria buying private jets but it doesn't change the fact that muslim clerics here still engage in using religion to defraud and extort their followers. Whilst pastors buy jets, imams dissipate the proceed of their fraud booty on marrying multiple wives, breeding out of control, and acquiring lush properties whilst their followers can't afford a decent meal. Secondly, he needs to travel outside Nigeria to Saudi Arabia and other oil rich muslim countries and see how lavish muslim clerics live. The point shouldn't be about making a comparison based on private jets because majority of these clerics are fraudsters. Read more epic and interesting responses from Sahara Reporter FB

Statement by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Passing on of Son Kazeem Olajide Babajide (Oct.12, 1980-Oct.31st 2017) ABOUT JIDE (Kazeem Olajide Babajide Tinubu, Born October 12th 1980) We want to express our thanks and deep appreciation to all who have demonstrated their sympathy and expressed their condolences over the loss of our eldest son, Jide. I want to especially thank President Muhammadu Buhari, VP Yemi Osinbajo, the state Governors, distinguished Senators particularly Senate President Bukola Saraki, members of the House of Representatives, APC leaders and members and indeed all Nigerians. I thank the traditional rulers for their display of support. My son was a highly intelligent person with a vibrant personality and a zest for life. He followed his own course and made his own way on his own terms. Those who knew him could not help but like him. Yet, he was taken away by cardiac arrest when it seemed he had so much life to still live. This is a reminder that we must live each day to its best as none of us know when our last day shall be. Mortality comes upon us all. We have no choice in that but we do have a choice whether we shall be good or bad, just or unjust. Let us all strive toward the best in ourselves. Jide lived for so long in London and there he has left behind a darling wife and three precious boys. My wife Remi and I have gone to London to be with them at this painful time to support and help them. Please excuse our absence from Lagos for a while but it is essential that we are with them. Prayers are being offered and will continue to be offered for the repose of his soul. I have suffered a grave loss that no parent would like to bear. As a father, I must spend time putting my arms around the family he has left behind. We must seek a lesson in every loss. Your reaction to my son’s passing has taught me that we can be a people of profound love and humanity when we want to be. People of every tribe, region, faith and every political affiliation have expressed their sympathy and extended to me the embrace of a brother or sister. Even those who don’t agree with me politically have shown strong support and care indistinguishable from that of my associates. This says so much about the innate goodness in all of us. For no matter what, we are not foes or enemies. We are all of one human stock, a single nation, one family. I wish I could bring my son back but I cannot. However, what I can do is to be more caring and helpful to the living as I know this is what Jide would want to become of his passing. Let us all take a lesson from this and think a bit more about our fellow man, our neighbor, our fellow Nigeria. Let us live as we were meant to live with each other in greater peace, compassion and love. If only this can happen, I know my son will be happy. Again, as we are away from Lagos, we thank you for the love you have shown and ask that you not only show it to us but to each other. Please continue to pray for him wherever you are. Thank you and may God bless you all. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu November 3, 2017. |
2000 Drug Addicts Rehabilitated By Pastor Adeboye - INFORMATION NIGERIA informationng.com Nov 3, 2017 2:23 PM The General Overseer (Worldwide) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye; and his wife, Folu, have rehabilitated no fewer than 2000 drugs addicts in the country. The couple reportedly achieved the feat within the 27 years of founding the Christ Against Drug Abuse Ministry (CADAM), a project that sought the rehabilitation of drug addicts in the country. During the inauguration of another initiative of CADAM, the Enoch and Folu Adeboye Rehabilitation Centre at Araga, Epe, Lagos State, beneficiaries of the project recounted their experience. One of them, Mr. Ilimezekhe Salvage, an indigene of Rivers State, who graduated from a university after rehabilitation, said he was saved from addiction to cocaine, heroin, marijuana and other illicit substances. “God used this initiative to save my life from drug abuse. Since I came across CADAM, my life has received positive transformation,” he added. Adeboye’s wife, Folu, said the centre was for the transformation for youths who suffered substance abuse and were seeking new lives. According to her, CADAM which started its journey in 1991 has treated about 2,000 beneficiaries with about 70 per cent of them living drug-free, independent and productive lives. “Today, we have both formal and informal relationships with about 12 Nigerian universities that send their students to us for the programme and readmit them to complete their education upon our certification,”, she said. The Governor Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, who was at the inauguration of the new centre, noted that the initiative would go a long way in complementing efforts of the state government to eradicate crime. The Head of CADAM, Pastor Brown Oyitso, lamented that substance abuse had become a scourge in the society. Oyitso, who doubles as Pastor-in-Charge of Region 19, and Personal Assistant, Missions, to the General Overseer, said CADAM had been involved in CSR since Adeboye instructed pastors of the church to give back to society. http://www.informationng.com/2017/11/2000-drug-addicts-rehabilitated-pastor-adeboye.html/amp |
