When we he visit Enugu, the supporters' base headquarters, to commiserate with the government and the good people over the massacre of iinnocent people. What is it really in it for these supporters? Is it blindness or hypnotism? Or self-inflicted stupeedity? Saraki goofs on this. |
iKarma:Sometimes I just wonder at why ondo and States have to show in the last five years for gej but misery and dilapidation. It takes political hypnotism to make people continue this support when the reality shows erosion-ravaged roads and sepulchre-like (rotten and white-washed)projects. The ONLY hope for us was high-priced international oil price which was murderously and buffonically squandered! |
Goddex:Do not defend the indefensible! Bayelsa workforce is not up to 70% of Osun. It's the RICHEST state in Nigeria vis-a-vis the income (huge allocations) and the population. You are out to excuse arguably the laziest state administration to pour torment on the innocent workforce. It won't happen. Govt should wake up or prun her extravagance. These are facts not mere ranting and wailing. |
What is your take barely two day after the gruesome massacre and crocodile tears ala two days fasting and Prayer Our Governor at a function in a 'joyful' mood.

I haven't seen in my entire corporate and academic life how a Vice President in Charge of Finance will leave a corporate entity squandered this way and will still be considered experienced just because she had paper qualifications. Go after herdsmen, Buhari orders military, police Published on April 27, 2016 by · 2 Comments President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday in Abuja directed the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Abayomi Olonisakin and Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Solomon Arase, to secure communities under suspected herdsmen attack. Buhari gave the directive at the presentation of the book “Who will love my country: Ideas for building a Nigeria of our dreams” by Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu. The president, who, was represented by the Minister of Information, Mr Lai Mohammed, further directed Olonisakin and Arase to go after all groups terrorising innocent people across the country. He expressed the present government’s determination to tackle the problem, adding that his administration would not allow such attacks to continue. “Let me use this platform to condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the attack perpetrated on the Ukpabu Nimbo community in Uzo-Uwani area of Enugu State on Monday. “I deeply sympathise with all those who lost dear ones, as well as those who lost their properties in the attack. “I have directed the Chief of Defence Staff and the Inspector-General of Police to secure all communities under attacks by herdsmen,” he said. On the theme of the book, Buhari urged Nigerians to change their ways of live for a better society. “The author struck the right notes when he enjoined leaders to carry out programmes that will enhance the prosperity, happiness and living conditions of citizens. “He stressed the need for change in several areas, including attitudinal change, especially as it concerns corruption and impunity and of course, the need for Nigerians to love their country. “He demonstrated in the book that Nigerians can only build a Nigeria of their dreams if they make bold efforts to love her above their individual selves and narrow interests. FILE PHOTO: A herdsman in Nigeria FILE PHOTO: A herdsman in Nigeria “Let me say here that there is no controverting these critical issues raised by the author, and that indeed, for this government, these words amount to preaching to the converted. “Our mantra is CHANGE, starting with individual attitudinal change. “That explains why this administration will soon launch a major campaign, tagged CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME. “It is aimed at getting Nigerians to realise that the change they so much desire starts with them,” he said. On the call by the author of the book for leaders to undertake programmes that will enhance the living standard of Nigerians, the president said the present government was already towing that path. He stressed that the 2016 Budget was designed to bring millions of Nigerians out of poverty, enhance the living conditions of the citizens as well as put smiles to their faces. “Our N500 billion Social Intervention Fund, which is unprecedented, will, among others, create jobs for 500,000 unemployed graduates and 370,000 unemployed non-graduates. “It will provide loans for one million Nigerians, including market men and women as well as artisans, to start up small businesses. “It will feed 4.5 million school children, ensure conditional cash transfers to the most vulnerable (not unemployed graduates) citizens and provide scholarships to students studying science, technology, engineering and mathematics. “When the author also noted that Nigerians can only build a Nigeria of their dreams if they make bold efforts to love her above their individual selves and narrow interests, he could not have said it better. “Anyone who puts his or her country over and above other interests will not engage in unbridled corruption, divert money meant for public use to private purposes or divert money for the national treasury into private pockets. “When we put the public interest above our personal interests, the society benefits, but when the reverse is the case, the |

Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenihn has declared that he has forgiven his foremost political foe and governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole. He made the declaration on Sunday, at the 10th Anniversary of St Anthony’s Catholic Church, Urhomi, where the Governor was given an award for his services to the Church. Anenih who referred to the Governor as his son, said a recent health challenge he suffered made him realize the need to rise above politics and embrace peace with all men. “I was in St. Paul’s Church in Benin, and as my son, Comrade Adams said, we were all there appreciating the efforts of the Archbishop. “I want to say this, it is not because Adams is here. Last night, I was telling my wife that I met Adams in the church, and with my immediate medical experience, I have decided to forgive all those who offended me. And I specifically mentioned Adams. “Adams, without you saying it, I have forgiven you. As you said when you were in labour, as president, you were my son and you know it. You came into politics and you remain my son. So, the common cook that used to cook ogbono soup for us is still there,” he said. Earlier in his speech, Governor Oshiomhole who could be best described as Anenih’s worst political enemy who taunted him for several years, referred to him as “my daddy.” He thanked the church for reuniting him with top members of the opposition party, just as he lauded their efforts in nation building. “I believe the fact that Nigerians live in relative peace and harmony in spite of the failings and weaknesses of political leadership at all levels, is due to the power of your intercession, the power of your prayers. “We cannot thank you enough for your prayers and your support in spite of our weaknesses,” he said. The Governor praised the Catholic Church for bringing people of different political persuasions together under one roof for the Church programme. “Yesterday, I found myself sitting in the front row, and then I realized that most of those drivers and shakers of politics and ‘politricking’ in Edo State, are all Catholics. That, for me, is revealing. “For me, the church has caused all of us to reunite in the State. So, I reunite with my daddy Chief Tony Anenih and several other PDP leaders and APC leaders. And the Catholic Church brought together the national Chairman of APC sitting side-by-side with the national leader of PDP. “May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ continue to moderate our actions and remind us of our oneness, of our commonality and of our shared commitment to work together to uplift our state and our great nation.” Commenting on the award conferred on him, the Governor thanked the Church, saying “I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the honour done to me by being invited to receive an award.” The Church anniversary was attended by Mr Anselm Ojezua, APC Chairman, Edo State, Mr Dan Orbih, PDP Chairman, Edo State, former Governor of the State, Prof Oserheimen Osunbor as well as former Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, among others. Two guys were drinking in a bar. As they were drinking, they started arguing, one guy pounce on his friend and started beating him. . After a long beating he realised that his friend was no longer breathing, he had died instantly. Then the guy started running with his shirt full of blood. Those who were watching the fight started chasing him. . He ran to the house of a Christian man, knocked and said, "Can u please hide me, i have killed a person and people are chasing me." . The Christian man replied , "Where am i going to hide you in my one room apartment?" The murderer said "There is no time to waste here, just think of anywhere you can hide me." . After a long thinking, the Christian man said to the murderer, "Give me your shirt and take my shirt but remember to keep my shirt clean" They exchanged their shirts. Then as soon as the Christian man opened the door, people started beating him and was badly injured that he was taken to the police station. From police station, the case was taken to court and the man was found guilty of murder and was sentenced to death. . The real murderer was safe at home but was feeling so guilty that he ran to the Court and said, "Can you please release that innocent man, am the real murderer". . The judge replied "unfortunately it's too late, the man is already hanged at last". He ran to the place where the man was hanged and for sure he found him dead hanging. . He knelt down and cried his eyes out and said to himself, " You paid for my crime" He remembered the Christian's last words: "KEEP MY SHIRT CLEAN !!!" That's how the murderer repented and became a christian! . MORAL OF THE STORY ; This is what Jesus did for us. He died for the crime (Our sins) he did not commit on the cross of Calvary. Now if you are thankful with what Jesus did for you, Appreciate Him with just a Like and a Share. Do have a miracle-full week in Jesus Name, Amen. |
