Ndipe: I read his other novel, "The Victims", very interesting book. The Victims was his first book, no? Will look for it too. African writers really rock, i must confess |

I really enjoyed this book because of the writing style(characters were in the first person). Sorta made it less of a fiction for me. Plot didnt seem embellished; it was quite realistic and made the characters seem like it could be you and I. I read it with a constant reminder of typical human weakness, succumbing to our everyday challenges inspite of our best plans and efforts(cue Aku) and so much more. Bottomline's I enjoyed the book, a whole lot. African literature enthusiasts should definately try it. P.S its not a recent book |

An emotional thread indeed.....lost my dad in 2OO7 but his number is still etched in my mmry. Resaved it in my phone months ago even though the line has been reallocated. I still have my good friend and an uncle's contacts. Both died this year and i dont think I'd ever delete their BBM/phone numbers. Its comforting, in a weird way, seeing their contacts. |
