The eligibility status was yes, just that the department decision was, and is still blank. From all indication, microbiology department has sent out mails.. Thanks though!

Thanks a lot. I applied for environmental option and till now no mail, neither has my department decision on application status changed.

I'll just rest my case at this point. I however scored high on the English proficiency test and the departmental exam seemed a walk over for me.
