Politics / You Don’t Know Your Tribe – Biafra Group Fires At Wike by Fastnewsnigeria: 9:47am On Nov 28, 2020
Biafra Group has blasted Governor Wike, telling him that he don't know his tribe.

The group described as false Wike’s claims that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, was trying to rename the State.

In a statement signed by the Deputy National Leader of BNL and Head of Operations, BBS Media, Ebuta Akor Takon, the group described the Governor as a talkative who lacks focus.

BNL accused Wike of trying to create ethnic tension in the State, adding that the Governor who denied being Igbo does not know the history of Rivers State and Niger Delta as a region.

The group pointed out that it was not possible for any group to rename a town if the indigenes of such town are not involved.

“The Governor does not have a tribe and acts as confused person,” the group said, insisting that the, “Niger Delta region of today includes Imo and Abia and they joined region same day Edo, Ondo, Cross River and Akwa Ibom States were included.

“We were never part of Niger Delta, it is an Ijaw region by geographical definition, it was Obasanjo that created this confusion when he added other areas as part of the region.

“If Wike said he has found a new ethnic group, and that he is not from Igbo because they told him that Ikwere is from Benin, it’s fine.

“But then, he shouldn’t forget that Late Oba of Benin rejected the claim, saying that the Benin Kingdom does not have any record showing that Ikwere migrated from Benin. They do not speak related language or practice the same culture.

“So you can see he doesn’t know anything, and he is a Governor. He merely relied on what some of the elders in Rivers State told him, and these were the same elders that looted Igbo property during the war.

“Being a Niger Deltan does not call for ethnic denial, everyone in Nigeria knows Wike is an Igbo man, READ. MORE: https://fastnewsng.com/you-dont-know-your-tribe-biafra-fires-at-wike/

Politics / Clashes In IPOB As Nnamdi Kanu’s Deputy Resigns by Fastnewsnigeria: 5:11pm On Nov 27, 2020
Clashes in the Camp Of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as Uche Mefor, deputy to the leader Nnamdi Kanu resigned his position.

He resigned following abolition of the position in the structure of command of the organisation by IPOB’s leader Kanu.

Head of Directorate of State (DOS), China Edoziem, in a statement on Friday accused Mefor of “insubordination and disobedience” to constituted authorities in the organisation particularly to the leader of IPOB.

“Mefor was instructed by our leader to be attending his unit meetings in London and pay his monthly dues as everyone else does but he disobeyed this dimple instruction from his leader with the excuse that he as the deputy leader will neither attend unit meetings or pay monthly dues because he is entitled to same privilege accruing to Nazi Nnamdi Kanu as leader of IPOB worldwide.

“The office of the deputy leader of the IPOB is abolished with immediate effect and ceases to be a part of the IPOB leadership structure.

“Henceforth nobody should be referred to as the deputy leader of IPOB. Throughout the history of freedom fighting there is nothing like deputy leader.”

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu-Nigeria Is The Only Thing Created By A White Man That Has No Meaning by Fastnewsnigeria: 10:21am On Nov 26, 2020
Leader Of The Indigenous People Of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has made a claim that Nigeria Is The Only Thing Created By A White Man That Has No Meaning.

Nnamdi Kanu said this in one of his social media monitored by Fastnews.

Nnamdi Kanu wrote;

This is Nigeria for you! Just as they have decided to import fuel from Niger Republic that has no crude oil or their plans to import grass from Brazil for their beloved Fulani cattle

Everything about the supporter of APC run British contraption goes to prove us right that animals not human beings are at the helm of power in the great #Zoo

Ability to reason is what makes us human without it we are animals. If you wake up in the morning, look yourself in the mirror and still refer to yourself as a Nigerian then examine your brain properly there is something definitely wrong with you.

You have 4 state of the art refineries in Nigeria, abundant crude oil in Biafraland yet you plan to import oil from Niger Republic a land that has not even a drop of oil? May God have mercy upon your demented souls. Even wild animals in the forest can't be this stupid.

Nigeria is the only thing created by a white man that has no meaning. Only Biafra can save you.

Politics / Nigeria Ranks As 3rd Most Terrorized Country In The World by Fastnewsnigeria: 8:56am On Nov 26, 2020
Nigeria ranks as the 3rd most terrorized country in the world according to a fresh (2020) report by the Global Terrorism Index (GTI).

The report which was released on Wednesday, ranked Nigeria third only behind war-torn countries of Afghanistan and Iraq.

According to the GTI report, Nigeria witnessed an increase in Boko Haram attacks in the period under review, witnessing her worst terrorist attack in 2019 in northeastern Borno State, where at least 70 people were killed and 10 others wounded when insurgents attacked at a funeral.

“Over the past year, Boko Haram increased attacks on military targets, with deaths rising from 26 in 2018 to 148 in 2019,” the report said.

However, the report recognized that terror-related incidents in the West African nation fell by 27% in the same period due to a significant reduction in violence attributed to killer herdsmen.

“Despite an overall decline in terrorism, Boko Haram, Nigeria’s deadliest terrorist group, recorded an increase in terrorist activity mainly targeted at civilians.
Terror-related deaths and incidents attributed to Boko Haram in Nigeria increased by 25 and 30% respectively from the prior year.

“In 2019, Boko Haram carried out 11 suicide bombings causing 68 fatalities. Suicide bombings accounted for 6% of all terror-related incidents by Boko Haram in 2019, marking an 89% decline from their peak in 2017,” the report read.

Other countries listed in the top 10 of the report are Syria (4th), Somalia (5th), Yemen (6th), Pakistan (7th), India (8th), Democratic Republic of the Congo (9th), and Philippines (10th).

The 2020 GTI report also highlighted the shift in ISIL-related attacks away from the Middle East to sub-Saharan Africa, disclosing that “41% of total ISIL-related attacks in 2019 occurred in sub-Saharan Africa.”

Meanwhile, leader of the Boko Haram Terrorist group, Abubakar Shekau has disclosed that the Nigerian Military can’t arrest or kill him because he is doing God’s work.

According to Shekau in a new video released after military authorities freshly declared him wanted, he and his fighters can’t be arrested by the military and even if by chance they get arrested, it won’t end the war.

Politics / Biafra: Ohanaeze Declares Nnamdi Kanu’s Reign Of Terror Over by Fastnewsnigeria: 4:13pm On Nov 23, 2020
Ohanaeze Youths has Declared the Leader Of The Indiginous People Of Biafra, IPOB,  Nnamdi Kanu’s Reign Of Terror is Over.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, says Nnamdi Kanu and his group, Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have fallen.

OYC described a current crisis in the IPOB leadership as the resistance by top officials of the group to revert to the status quo of nonviolence agitation of Biafra.

The Igbo youths alleged that Kanu’s alleged authoritarian stance on introducing impunity is capable of plunging Nigeria into another civil war.

OYC claimed there is an exodus of IPOB top officials from the group, describing the development as evidence that the secessionist organisation is at the brink of collapse.

OYC, in a statement signed by its President-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro said IPOB “needs a total change of strategic leadership approach to revert to original plans.

”The issues of a Zionist state of Biafra is the root cause for the recent leadership crisis. The forceful imposition of alien Jewish religion and cultural norms in predominantly Christian society and Muslim communities without peaceful coexistence brought exit of top officials of IPOB.”

The OYC said top members such as Uche Mefor, a catholic, Grace Ekwo, and others, have left the group, including the withdrawal of support of Niger Delta Ex Militant, Mujahed Asari Dokubo, a Muslim.

“Nnamdi Kanu’s recent solo tweet and press releases without the Media arm of IPOB is another evidence that the group’s leadership had fallen into chaos”, the statement added.

“Kanu’s reign of impunity and abusive rantings are over. Kanu must apologize to Igbo leaders, show remorse to his supporters for his deceitful actions and mourn those who lost their lives in the struggle,” OYC said.

Politics / ASUU Strike Will End Soon - Chris Ngige by Fastnewsnigeria: 2:51pm On Nov 23, 2020
ASUU Strike Will End Soon, Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment Says.

Chris Ngige said this based on the last offer made by the government to the union.

Ngige while speaking on Monday also noted that he expects to get feedback from the ASUU negotiating team probably on Tuesday, contrary to the normal Friday as in previous times.

He said once ASUU returns to the negotiating table, both parties should be able to fastrack efforts towards ending the eight-month strike which began in March.
The Minister expressed his views during an interview with Arise TV.

He said: “I feel that even this offer is one of the best they have ever gotten since I started conciliation with them. I do not see why they should not accept it. Everything they asked for has been granted. I don’t think they should say the offer is not good.

“But I told them before they left that asking the nation and the students to wait from Friday to Friday is unfair, they should come back to us by Tuesday. They have done that before when we negotiated with the Senate President. The offer was made on a Thursday and they came back to us on a Tuesday.

“So, that’s what I expect them to do this time around. If they do so, the nation will appreciate them and regard them as patriotic citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I expect them to get back to me much earlier than Friday.”

As of last week the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been offered N65 billion for Earned Academic Allowance and revitalisation by the Federal Government in a bid to end ASUU strike.

The Federal Government also offered the lecturers N65 billion for Earned Academic Allowance and revitalization, the meeting was held on Friday, November 20.

Furthermore, the government also agreed to pay the striking lecturers through the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System) until ASUU’s University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) is ready for usage.

These were some of the agreements reached at the resumed meeting between the leadership of ASUU and the federal government team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige on Friday.

Politics / APC - Umahi’s Exit From PDP Confirms Igbos Have Accepted Us by Fastnewsnigeria: 2:00pm On Nov 23, 2020
APC, All Progressives Congress has claimed that  Gov Umahi’s Exit From PDP, People’s Democratic Party Confirms that  Igbos Have Accepted them.

A statement on Monday by Jacob Ogunseye, APC-UK Publicity Secretary, said that development confirms the relevance of APC in the South East.

The spokesman called Umahi’s decision bold, strategic and purposeful.

“As things stand today, APC remains the strongest party in the country and will continue to win elections in free and fair contests. The defection of Umahi is a demonstration of the dominance and acceptance of the party in the South East and the country at large,” he said.

Ogunseye added that by joining the progressives, the governor has set an envious record for himself.

He advised Umahi to discard opinions from adversaries and see such as normal in Nigerian politics.

Politics / Senator Abaribe: Buhari Media Organization Releases Names Of Igbos In Aso Rock by Fastnewsnigeria: 10:39pm On Nov 22, 2020
Buhari Media Organization has branded Senator Abaribe a ‘liar’ for claiming that only one Igbo man works in Aso-rock during a live interview on Channels TV a few days ago.

The group, in a statement made available to POLITICS NIGERIA, described Senator Abaribe’s comments as a ’tissue of lies’, adding that President Muhammadu Buhari has several aides of Igbo origin.

“His further attempt to give the impression that President Muhammadu Buhari has not done anything for that region is quite laughable and ridiculous, given the realities on ground”,the statement read.

The signed by the group’s Chairman Niyi Akinsiju and Secretary Cassidy Madueke that Senator Abaribe ended up making himself look silly by suggesting that the only personal aide of the President from the region is ‘only’ a photographer.

“It beggars belief that an opposition Senator who has been in the corridors of powers since 1999 could knowingly seek to hoodwink Nigerians with a false narrative in a bid to portray President Buhari in a bad light.”

“Aside from being wide off the mark on the multiple award-winning former ‘This Day’ editor, Sunday Aghaeze who was headhunted by the President for the role he is playing in the Presidency, Abaribe out of mischief, or perhaps ignorance, left out Oge Modie, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Strategic Communications and Uche Ozurumba, Special Assistant to the President on Strategic Communications.

“Others are Francis Anatogu, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President (public sector matters); Nneka Ikejiani, Senior Technical Assistant to the President (delivery unit); Somkele Awa-Kalu, Special Assistant to the President (research); Tochi Nwachukwu, Special Assistant to the President (power privatisation) and Nkechi Chukwueke, Special Assistant to the President (community engagement).

There are also Nkoli Anyaoku, Special Assistant to the President (DCOS); Nonye Ojekwe, Special Assistant to the President (political matters); Louisa Chinedu-Okeke, Special Assistant to the President (finance) and Juliet Chikaodili-Nwagu, Special Assistant to the President (justice sector reforms and international relations).

“Or is it that the Senator who has no record of achievement in all his years as a senior PDP government official wants to deny their ‘Igboness’ as people like him love to do mischievously?

“We challenge him to tell Nigerians what he has done in his political career for the South East people from when he was Deputy Governor in Abia State in 1999 to all his years in the Senate, especially when his party was in power at the centre.”

“Senator Abaribe’s State is also seen as one of the worst in terms of development out of the 36 States in the country even though his party had produced all the Governors since the return to civil rule, yet he is so comfortable with hateful and divisive rhetorics.”

“If he could afford to sleep comfortably each night with what his party has been doing in Abia since1999, then we won’t be surprised he could seek to water down the concern expressed by the Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi about PDP’s treatment of the South East,” the group added.

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu - It's Obigbo Not Oyigbo, It's Igweocha Not Port Harcourt by Fastnewsnigeria: 12:30pm On Nov 20, 2020
Nnamdi Kanu Leader Of The Indigenous People Of Biafra IPOB, has made a claim that Oyigbo ought to be called Obigbo.

Nnamdi Kanu Posted On His Official Page saying that “It is #OBIGBO not Oyigbo. Britain may have gotten away with planting the fake name Port Harcourt in our brains in place of the rightful name #IGWEOCHA

This time around we will not allow a bunch of badly educated people, full of self hate, to change a name that has been in existence for over 5000 years.

Igbo people never changed the name of anybody's town or village, therefore, nobody has the right to come to our land to give us a name that has no meaning.

The fact European Bible wrongly referred to it as #Jerusalem does not mean the original name #Yerushalayim is an attempt at land grab by the Jews of Israel but a reflection of historical reality.

You may call it #Rome but to Italians the proper name is #Roma and that is what they call it to this day. You call it #Munich but the Bavarian owners of the land know and call it #Munchen.

To us the owners of the land in Igweocha, the correct name is OBIGBO, foreigners are free to call it Oyigbo if they like, it won't change the identity of the people or originality of the name.

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu - Reasons Why Umahi Refused To Support Peter Obi In 2019 by Fastnewsnigeria: 11:29am On Nov 19, 2020
Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has given   Reasons Why Umahi Refused To Support his brother Peter Obi in 2019

Nnamdi Kanu claimed that Umahi  Gov. of Ebonyi State, refused to support or accepted Peter Obi as Vice President to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 2019, “because that would have truncated his own chances in 2023.”

Umahi, Chairman of the South East Governors Forum, recently decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,

Kanu alleged that Umahi rather chose to work for APC presidency, “against his own brother, not minding that both of them are in the same PDP. ”

“No Igbo man will get the nod to fly the flag of either of the main political party come 2023.”

According to him, Umahi, Governor Nyesom Wike and others are merely storing up trouble for themselves and their children by allegedly conniving with the army and police in the killing of their people.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday commended the defection of Governor Umahi to the APC.

The Nigerian leader described it “as a bold move driven purely by principle rather than opportunistic motives”.

Education / ASUU Strike: Why Nigerian Students Can’t Protest Against Buhari Govt – Adeyanju by Fastnewsnigeria: 10:14pm On Nov 18, 2020
Nigerian activist, Adeyanju has pointed out some reasons why Nigerian students can't protest against the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

Adeyanju pointed out that protest is now a crime in the country.

He cited the recent killing of End SARS protesters in some part of the country, precisely, the Lekki area of Lagos where soldiers were said to have opened fire on unarmed protesters.

Responding to the question on why the students have been so calm in the face of the prolonged strike by lecturers, Adeyanju said, “Protest has become a crime in Nigeria.

“You want the children to protest so that they will shoot them? Protest is now a crime. The students are afraid of dying. They don’t want to die like the End SARS protesters.

“Or you want the Ministry in charge of thuggery to recruit thugs to attack the students? We are back to the days of Abacha.

“Days of Abacha are here. In fact, the days of Abacha is more reformed than this thing you call democracy. “

Politics / Supreme Court Rules In Suit Against Diri As Bayelsa Governor by Fastnewsnigeria: 1:14pm On Nov 18, 2020
Governor Of Bayelsa State, Gov. Douye Diri has been affirmed as the duly elected Governor of Bayelsa State, by a seven-man panel of the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

The apex court, in a unanimous judgement by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, dismissed the six appeals filed against Diri and his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

Justice Ngwuta, in his judgement, predicated the dismissal of the appeals on the withdrawal of the six appeals by lawyers of the appellants.

The appeals dismissed were filed by the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Advanced Nigeria Democratic Party (ANDP), Accord Party (AP) and Labour Movement (LM).

Diri who contested under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second in the last year’s governorship election in the state.

He was later declared Governor of the state in a subsequent Supreme Court judgement disqualifying the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, David Lyon, who had emerged the winner of the poll.

Diri’s victory has been challenged a number of times, but the Bayelsa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja had at different times also affirmed him as the duly elected governor of the state.

Sports / Inter Milan Will Win Italian League With Kante & Koulibaly – Morrati by Fastnewsnigeria: 3:01pm On Nov 17, 2020
Inter Milan will win Serie A with Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante and Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to Massimo Morati.

Antonio Conte guided Inter to a second-place finish last season, with Juventus securing their ninth successive Scudetto by just a single point.

The Nerazzurri are aiming to build on that platform by dethroning their arch-rivals in 2020-21, but haven’t made the flying start to the season supporters might have hoped for.

Inter Milan are sitting seventh in the Italian top flight after seven fixtures, five points behind leaders AC Milan and one adrift of reigning champions Juve.

Conte has also seen his side struggle in the Champions League, with draws against Borussia Monchengladbach and Shakhtar Donetsk and a defeat to Real Madrid leaving them facing an uphill battle to qualify from Group B.

Inter are already being tipped to bolster their squad in January in order to boost their chances of competing for major silverware, with Kante reportedly near the top of their list of targets.

Koulibaly has also been linked with a move to San Siro, and Moratti thinks the addition of both men would help ensure that Conte brings the club’s long wait for silverware to an end.

“The Nerazzurri are owned by a family that gives me hope,” the former Inter president told GR Parlamento.

“Suning want to stay for a long time and invest to achieve important results. I think that with Kante and Koulibaly the team would win the Scudetto.”

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu Incites Violence, Call Him To Order – Igbo Group Tells UK, Israel by Fastnewsnigeria: 6:50pm On Nov 15, 2020
Igbo Youth Worldwide has asked the United Kingdom and Israel to warn the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to desist from inciting violence in Nigeria.

The group alleged that the separatist leader had used the privilege of his dual citizenship to cause anarchy and insurrection by inciting members of the proscribed IPOB to violence.

The Igbo professionals reminded the UK and Israel that Nnamdi Kanu is still a fugitive to the Nigerian law, having jumped bail while facing criminal charges of treasonable felony, adding that the IPOB group which he represents remained proscribed by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

The worldwide youth organisation in a statement on Sunday, by its President-General, Barr. Maduabuchi Nwodo, tasked Igbo people world over to demonstrate courage by denouncing Kanu, IPOB and all the violence they represent.

The group said its call followed the latest utterances of the Nnamdi Kanu, where he incited police and military officers of Southern and Middle Belt extractions to resign and burn their uniforms.

‘‘We are disturbed by the incessant inciting statements coming from Mr Nnamdi Kanu, who has been parading himself as leader of Indigenous People of Biafra against the Nigerian state. Having worked and contributed to see Nigeria at its present state, we believe that the United Kingdom and Israel would not want to see Nigeria shattered. It is in this regard that we are strongly appealing to them to rein in on Kanu, whose activities have been against the unity of Nigeria.

“The latest call by Mr Kanu on the police and military officers of Southern and Middle Belt extractions not only to abandon their duty post but to also resign and burn their service uniforms must be ignored,” he group said.

But acknowledging that the SouthEast region has not fairly benefitted from the one Nigeria project, the Igbo group said the pursuit of inclusive government must be channelled through appropriate lawful means.

“Though our people are highly marginalized and deserve the right for agitation it must be done legally and by the appropriate people not a deviant young man like Nnamdi Kanu who is out for his selfish interest,” it said.

“However, while Kanu has a right to legally clamour for whatever he believes in, he should also know that the Igbo Nation has recognized spokespersons in the forms of governors, legislators and Ohaneze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural group. Any serious statements are supposed to come from these people after extensive consultations”, the statement noted.

The group has further applauded efforts by security agencies to check the excesses of violent IPOB members across the South East, stressing that more legitimate means will be adopted by the Igbo nation to achieve their demands.

“The Igbo nation constitutes responsible, law-abiding and patriotic citizens, who are prepared to achieve their goals within the confines of a united and indivisible Nigeria.

“We, therefore, call on our brothers from the other parts of the country, to recognise our cry for marginalisation, and support our course to produce the next President come 2023.

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State, has disclosed that he had been a victim of police brutality in the pas, therefore he twould join other good intentioned Nigerians to take the youths End SARS agitations seriously.

This was as the Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment, Chief Adeniyi Adebayo, assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari would listen and implement all the demands made by the youth during the EndSARS protest.

They spoke in Ado Ekiti on Sunday during an interaction session held by stakeholders’ on the recent EndSARS protest that resonated panic across the country recently.

Governor Fayemi said the case of police brutality was one issue that affects every fact of the society, revealing that he was a victim in 2014 while seeking reelection.

Fayemi, who was defeated in the June 21, 2014 election by his predecessor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, had prior to the election allegedly teargassed by a team police operatives at Mugbagba area of Ado Ekiti while some APC governors were prevented from entering the state to campaign for him having been allegedly stopped by security agencies at the borders.

Describing the youths as the engine room of the nation’s economy, Governor Fayemi stated that there was need for the governments to partner the youth for sustainable peace and development.

“The EndSARS protest was a noble course. It was supported here in Ekiti not because of those involved, but for the reason behind the action which we believe would help the police to do their

“The youth protest in Ekiti was well-intentioned and peaceful. The right to peaceful protest is an inalienable right. For the first time we have panel of inquiries at every level of government to tackle our issues. We must not resort to violence as a solution to our agitations. We must all speak in unison against violence as we did in unison against Police brutality.

“Our youth are angry, because as they were coming out of closure of schools over coronavirus pandemic, they entered into ASUU strike, then there is hunger in the land and the harsh economic situation in our country.

“The government has done many intervention programmes and had proscribed SARS and introduced youth investment fund and many others as a response to the youth agitations.

“I commiserate with the families of those who paid the supreme price. We identify with them. The panels that we set up will look into the reasons behind the protest and how best to address the issues raised because End SARS protest had placed a moral burden on all of us that we must be vigilant.

“I am a victim of police brutality myself. You could all recall what happened to me during my election of 2014. But some policemen had also rendered good services to me, so not all of them are bad.

“Our police must be motivated to do well. Policemen must be well remunerated. There must be good motivation for the police to be able to discharge their duties effectively” .

Also giving reassurance that President Buhari will implement all the issues raised by the youth, Adebayo said: “The purpose why we are here today is that, all the Ministers working under President Buhari got a presidential order to hold interactions with the people. Mr President listens to people. He wanted to use this interaction to feel the pulse of all Nigerians.

“We appreciate Governor Fayemi for setting us a panel to inquire about police brutality and other issues that are connected. As your representative at FEC, I will continue to do my best to represent Ekiti well.

Fayemi advised youth to always apply for any youth-oriented programmes being rolled out by the federal government and stop having the erroneous impression that they won’t be enlisted as beneficiary, apply first and see what happens”.

In his contributions, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 17, comprising Ondo and Ekiti, Mr. David Folawiyo, said the EndSARS protest had actually exhumed fundamental issues indicative of the rots in the system.

“Ultimate power belongs to the masses, especially the youth. The EndSARS agitations didn’t state that the police were bad, but they said the SARS operatives were bad. We agreed that there were bad eggs in the SARS but in most cases, people were the ones requesting for SARS services.

“We know that we have to restructure the police and that will be done. But we should all work together to make the police effective. We should all be patriotic and once we have this spirit, there won’t be SARS again. The police must be well equipped and ultimately, we must all collaborate to end SARS”.

Also, the Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Mr. Eyitayo Fabunmi, called for total reform of the Police, so that they can be more professional and civil in the discharge of their duties.

Culture / Youths Are Angry, Hungry - Ooni Of Ife Laments by Fastnewsnigeria: 12:17pm On Nov 15, 2020
Adeyeye Ogunwusi, popilarly known as The Ooni of Ife, says that the youths are angry and hungry.

Ooni of Ife said that the youths’ anger and hunger should be pacified with supports in form of training, mentorship and other empowerment initiatives.

Ooni of Ife explained that youths are angry because they are hungry and the only way to get them out of the anger is to continue to empower them.

The monarch disclosed this during the commencement of his fifth year coronation anniversary and graduation of Ojaja II Fashion Training Institute (OFTI) students in Ile-Ife.

“In line with the celebration of my 5th year on the throne, I have mapped out plans to empower 5,000 youths to be financially independent and be able to feed others.

“I hereby call on Nigerian leaders, political, traditional and religious leaders to know that it is now a necessity to empower the youths. Out of our earnings, let us dedicate part to the empowerment of youths in our areas. We must consider this as a necessity and what should be done on a regular basis.

“We just had a sample of youth restiveness and it should be a lesson to all of us that nobody can handle their anger, so it is about time that we know that it is unwise to keep money in the bank while the needy continue to wallow in poverty,” he said.

Speaking on whether constitutional roles should be assigned to traditional rulers, Ooni explained that such would hasten Nigeria’s journey to prosperity, as traditional rulers remained the closest to the people.

“We were with President Muhammadu Buhari two weeks ago and the issue was discussed and we are making progress. We have roles to play, we are not competing with them and I believe that we shall get there.” The Ooni added.

At the event, 65 youths who successfully completed their trainings as fashion designers were empowered with instruments and equipment procured by the Ooni, with support from the International Breweries, Ilesa and other partners.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Comfort Adebisi thanked the Ooni for the gift of new working equipment and the training which she described as the best.

Similarly, some victims of human trafficking, 55 in number, who were repatriated from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Omar and other parts of the world stormed the palace to thank the monarch for giving them a new life.

Politics / We Are Ready For Next Protest – Nnamdi Kanu List Criteria To Join by Fastnewsnigeria: 4:16pm On Nov 13, 2020
Leader of the indigenous People of Biafra , IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has revealed that they are ready for the Next phase of the Protest which he has termed REVOLUTION.

Nnamdi Kanu who made this known in series of Posts, reiterated that the more  merchants of repression in Nigeria continue to suppress the will for freedom in a population, the more the desire for freedom flourishes.

“Nnamdi Kanu also gave qualifications for those who will join the Next protest ” During the upcoming second phase of the #EndSarsProtests, palliative chasers, people who are beholden to their primitive tribal sentiments, religious morons and the gullible are NOT welcome.”

“The #revolution that is coming is for the mentally tough and resillient, not for #Zoo animals who are easily deceived with ethnicity, tribe or religion.”

“If you are not a revolutionary, please do not come out.”

Nnamdi Kanu said:

The merchants of repression in #Nigeria should note that it never works. You cannot suppress the will for freedom in a population that is fed up of being slaves. The more you repress, the more the desire for freedom flourishes. #Biafra shall come! #Oduduwa shall come! #MiddleBelt shall be free! The braves fallen at #Lekki & #Obigbo shall not be in vain.

Age old barriers to our freedom in Nigeria such as tribal sentiments, religion, ethnicity, emotional blackmail, used by corrupt politicians, agents of neo-colomialism in government houses, corrupt media and compromised traditional rulers, to hold the masses down by deceiving the gullible and ill informed, has been broken down for good. They can no longer count on their age old lies to keep dividing us. The unity exhibited by Nigerian youths during the first phase of the #EndSARS protests is testimony to this fact.

During the upcoming second phase of the #EndSarsProtests, palliative chasers, people who are beholden to their primitive tribal sentiments, religious morons and the gullible are NOT welcome. The #revolution that is coming is for the mentally tough and resillient, not for #Zoo animals who are easily deceived with ethnicity, tribe or religion.

If you are not a revolutionary, please do not come out. We are ready, are YOU, Nnamdi Kanu Ask?

Since the white man came to our beloved continent and turned our society and reasoning upside down, every successive generation has lived and died in morbid fear of their own government that is meant to serve them.

Frankly speaking, no African citizen has ever experienced freedom in its truest sense because White Europeans NOT Africans are the ones that created the unnatural colonial and post-colonial enclaves we ignorantly call nations in Africa today, including the greatest #Zoo of them all, Nigeria. An abomination amalgamated by a white British soldier of fortune and named by a drunken white woman.
