Education / Can I Use My Last Year Jamb Profile Code For This Year? by Fastnewsnigeria: 7:25pm On Feb 19, 2022
Can I use my last year jamb profile code for this year? If this has been you question then i think the answer is YES.

JAMB Profile Code Goes With the Old Phone Number

The procedure to get started with obtaining UTME/DE Form is to send a Candidate’s NIN in this format (NIN 87903457891) to 55019. You will immediately receive your profile code. This is a 10-digit number you will use to buy your UTME form.

Now, some candidates had used their SIMs to get these codes sometime last year or the year before. If you use the same phone number to get the code this year, it means the same old profile code will be sent to you again this year.

Is anything wrong with that? NO!

It only means you must have access to your last profile. In other words, you must have the last email to your profile and the password to your profile.

Once you’re able to log in to the last profile, then you’re doing good. Go ahead and use the same profile for your UTME this year.

In fact, starting from the 2022 admission year, candidates are tied to the same email linked with their JAMB profile last year and the password sent to their email and after the linking except if they've changed the password.

Therefore, the old method of changing email or phone numbers in order to change the JAMB profile code is no longer working. You will use the same profile code, NIN, and linked email to obtain any future UTME/DE.

NIN Used Last Year to Get Profile Code is Still the Same this Year

When you wanted to obtain UTME/DE form last year, it was your NIN you used to get the profile code. It was this profile code you used to buy the JAMB PIN.

Nollywood veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu has broken his silence on his arrest by the Nigerian Army for wearing Biafran regalia.

The actor was arrested by troops for wearing Biafra clothing at Upper Iweka Road, Onitsha, Anambra State.

In a viral video after his arrest, Chiwetalu Agu said he was sharing bread to hungry Nigerians and not demonstrating for anyone to join Biafra.

According to him, his outfit is just a dress with a rising sun and not anyway representing the Eastern Security Network, ESN.

He said: “What I’m wearing is a civil dress. This is not Biafran wear it is a rising sun and not eastern security outfit, ESN . I know where to go with this outfit.

“This sun on the dress I’m wearing is just a rising sun because I believe I must rise.

“I was sharing bread when they came to arrest me, I was not organising any demonstration. Is it wrong to feed the hungry Nigerians?”

Meanwhile, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, said the guild is doing its best to ensure his release.

Politics / IPOB, Others Not Different From ISWAP, Boko Haram – Gbajabiamila Talks Tough by Fastnewsnigeria: 5:17pm On Sep 15, 2021
Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has likened separatist groups in the southern part of the country to the insurgents in the northeast; Boko-Haram and ISWAP.

Femi Gbajabiamila said miscreants disguising as separatist groups have a low tolerance for dissenting opinions or views, thereby, making them similar to the bloodthirsty groups in the northeast.

He stated that government must add all separatists in the South to the list of concerns.

According to the Speaker, “In the South of Nigeria, East and West, miscreants and criminals masquerading as separationist activists have emerged to wreak havoc, take lives and commit economic sabotage against fellow Nigerians and against the state.”

Adding that, “their refusal to engage in debate, or to consider the possibility of dissenting opinions and alternative viewpoints, are no different from Boko Haram and ISWAP.”

He noted that Nigeria will deploy all available resources to end the insecurity in the country.

Is that what you think
Politics / IPOB – Why Tuesday Sit-at-home Order Was Declared by Fastnewsnigeria: 12:57pm On Sep 13, 2021
IPOB, The Indigenous People of Biafra, has said its September 14 sit-at-home order is in honour of victims of the military raid in Afaraukwu, the home town of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

On September 14, 2017, military operatives had invaded Afaraukwu in Abia State in an attempt to arrest Kanu.

During the raid, about 28 people were said to have been killed by soldiers.

However, IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, said the Tuesday sit-at-home is sacrosanct across the Southeast.

According to Powerful: “We the global movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) wish to remind all Biafrans, friends of Biafra and lovers of Biafra freedom across the globe that the sit-at-home order issued by the IPOB leadership to be observed tomorrow, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, is sacrosanct.

“The peaceful protest is for the remembrance of the victims of the genocidal invasion of our Leader’s compound at Afaraukwu Ibeku Umuahia on September 14 2017. No fewer than 28 innocent Biafrans were killed that day by the Nigeria Army during the raid.

“We advise all Biafrans, both men and women, to stay indoors tomorrow as a mark of honour to these fallen heroes and heroines. We must not fail to remember the supreme sacrifices of these great freedom seekers. Nothing done to honour them should be considered too much for they have watered the tree of Biafra freedom with their blood.

“Our Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has also made a lot of sacrifices for the restoration of Biafra. So, all of us must be prepared to play our roles to accomplish this great task. Biafra independence is a mandate that we must live to accomplish.”

Powerful maintained that the alleged killings of Biafra agitators would not deter IPOB from its agitation for secession.

“We won’t be deterred by the killings of Biafra agitators by Nigeria compromised security agencies who cannot confront Fulani bandits and herdsmen rampaging the country. They derive pleasure in killing and torturing innocent people agitating for their freedom while fleeing from real terrorists,” he said.
