Do everything within your means to switch to skilled worker visa before your visa expires. Someone who was in a situation similar to yours had push to get sponsored skilled worker visa as her BRP was to expire Jan. 30th 2023 and she was resubmitting her dissertation in May, 2023. She switched as her Uni said they can't facilitate her student visa extension, she submitted her dissertation in May, passed and graduated July 2023 while on Tier 2 visa.

How can one switch apart from care where can one see COS.

You are obviously writing this out of ignorant, even if you start today till the next 20yrs you will never come close to what i have contributed to Nigerian students studying in the UK.

When PSW was removed in 2012 till 2019 when Boris Johnson reintroduced it how did universities survived? Number of international students significantly reduced but still universities battle it out and they will do the same this time around.

I can't help if you are struggling to deal with the truth.

Financially or the copy n paste or paraphrasing being done from home office Web pages?

All I see you are doing here in the travel section is your job and you are being paid for the job. You aren't doing it for fun.

There is nothing new here, they have been here before and managed to scale through. Read the last part of your screenshot for a clue.

Sorry to say this; You never see anything good in Nigerian students schooling in UK. You never acknowledged the important roles Nigerianns students plays to the UK economy. To you UK are doing Nigerians a favour.

That's what you come hard on any complaints they make on threads in nairaland

This is incorrect. UK home students pay their fees upfront to the university via student loans from the UK government. They then repay the student loan (which attracts a high interest by the way) when they start earning above a certain threshold. The same approach applies in America and some other countries.

Why do you keep bringing up what home students pay and the loans they receive? That's an arrangement between them and their government, the same way the Nigerian government subsidises certain courses in Nigerian universities for Nigerian students.

Why is he opp hiding my post. You can see that all schools are in financial pressure in the UK. They fell short way below their target in January intake.. CAS issuance was down 60 to 70% and they likely projected this to happen September.
That's why most schools are now being hard towards student to pay up their fees to be able to pay staff and meet other financial obligations

Let me ask, these schools didn't exist before Nigerians and Indians?

But authority websites are saying they could go bankrupt without international student.
Or do you know more to what they are reporting?

If they where existing before without international student it means that enrollment has dropped gradually over the year's from home studente.
Morealso you have to know that home students pays 5k, 4k or sometimes 7k while international students pays as high as 23k and this funds are immediate. While home students with pennies spread their fees over the years evn with Government massive support.

Most schools, graduate, spend years to pay fees to come get their certificate.

I am not degrading Nigerians, I was correcting the falsehood that most whites are not interested in further education.
My point is that if you don't see any whites in your university, then perhaps you need to take a look at the ranking and reputation of your school.
I know many Brits, personally and on a professional level, who are highly educated and qualified. Which demographic do you think occupies the boards and executive levels of most institutions in the UK? Or do they rely on immigrants to train and lead them?

You don't have to put down others (especially with patently false statements) to make Nigerians look better

grin you can argue like made..
I said most and I repeat most don't care about MSc... Most teachers are from Germany, Russia, Italy, etc. No nack ur head for wall oh.

People that their government pamper and gives unemployment benefits that runs into thousands per year.

Without Nigerians and Indian and rest of people from EU, US they won't be able to fund their education without deficit or government support.
Some department will go into oblivion.

Their market depends on product from China.. Talk of anything shirt, shoe, clothes, pots etc unless high end stuff all comes from China. They don't really produced much.
But in care.. Health they are good
The Government manages their tax to run an efficient system but sadly ours loot everything

Even the visa stuff the government rakes in huge revenue to run the economy.

That's because the citizens target top rated universities, Russell group and the like, while most Nigerian and Indian immigrants typically look for the cheapest schools. Cheap and highly ranked are mutually exclusive when it comes to university education.

The UK is a classist system in many ways and the name and reputation of your university matters to most Brits and top employers. Go to LSE, Imperial College, Kings College, University of Birmingham, Warwick university ,etc etc and you will find many many "pure whites"

grin pure white abi... Whites from US, other European countries.
I know what I am saying. I am in the UK.
Most stops at BSC and their likes.
Remove all those international students and see those big names crying for funds

Stop degrading Nigerians..
The average UK can't bring huge chunk of money for a project.
Like in Nigeria. You see someone wakes up. Take 60 million to be building houses. Here what they do is to keep building credit score.. And you do that by buying on credit n never default throughout your pay date.
Who brings money to buy car in UK? For where.. Once you have good credit score.. Banks, auto shops will be begging u to come take a car . They might give you 20,000 pounds car and spread the payment over 20 years. You see someone paying 80 pounds in a month for a car

Talk of houses, school etc if you don't have a soft payment plans that runs into years... Then forget it.
This very reasons are why the universities are hungry for international students that provide immediate funds

Have you seen them all over the TV begging the government not to drive away foreign students?

Even the parliament acknowledged that foreign students brings over £41.9 billion to the UK economy each year.... I mean in a single year.. They can't achieve that with UK student that can't bring in immediate funds into the sector

Most of those students are from Nigeria, India, etc which they called their biggest market

I would hazard a guess and say you probably don't see them because you are attending a poorly ranked school that none of them would waste their money on. Somehow the UK has trained lawyers, engineers, doctors, and scientists... where do you think they are attending school? Oxford perhaps... which I doubt has a payment plan you can afford.

That's assuming GUO does night trips the way they do interstate in Nigeria. If I we take off in the morning, though, what's the typical time of arrival to Cotonou?

Cotonou is just 2 or 3 hours no need for night journey

20m is about £15K which is far less than what you need to study in the UK. Where is that money you presented to the embassy during the visa application? That is the point, you played yourself and now paying the price.

15000 dollars is about 24 million.

It's not easy to get that in Nigerian economy let's be frank.

Even me also in UK, I came with less than that but with flexibility in payment plan I de alright.

That UK thread you saw there booming do u think they have complete funds?
Ghanaian, Nigerians etc even Indians don't always come with complete fund. Since dependant was banned how far with the thread?
Like someone said.. Let them do block account if they are serious.

Finally it seems you have lost touch with reality Nigerian forgetting that over 90% now stay below poverty line.

International students have the greatest impact on UK economy than any other country. I disagree that universities that initially accepted a payment plan can later change it during the session without consideration to the students. Do you realize many genuine students will be affected? Are you aware many institutions have a "need-blind" or "need-aware" admissions policy? Even locals drop out of school due to financial challenges.

To prove and to have is different. If the govt is serious let the unis implement a policy where payment of full tuition is compulsory or have a blocked account like in Germany. Not some gimmicks where you attract the students with a payment plan and later shift the goal post during the match. That's unacceptable and should be called out.

How many UK citizens de go school up to MSc grin
Enter their university you will understand that without Indians, Nigerians, Ghanaians, few Chinese are holding their university.

In my class no one British all are Nigerians except few Indians... No pure white wink

The example you gave got nothing to do with this case.

This is case of fraud right from visa application, some Nigerians are not smart, Nigerian is hard no doubt but you put together the little you have and pay to the school and the embassy then came to the UK empty handed with no money to survive so as to benefit from all you have spent.

Running around for jobs, unable to attend lectures, no peace of mind and at the end you are likely to be sent home and your visa curtailed.

How foolish!!

Most schools in the UK gives flexible payment plan.
Most spread their payment wide enough to allow students pay with ease irrespective of whether you are an international student or not and this is what I will recommend Nigerians to check before they choose a school grin
but now I won't advise anyone to enter UK now through school

There are few schools that don't give payment plan and their list are on nairaland here and today northumbria has joined the list.
Payment plan is very important. Unless you are money loaded or related to our politicians who has impoverished the population through their massive looting
