Good evening everyone. Please I'd appreciate your help if you can provide answer to my question. I want to apply for social work in University of Sunderland but I saw IELTS 7.0 as English requirement. I didn't see anywhere where it was indicated that I can use WAEC instead. Has anyone used WAEC successfully? Is the IELTS requirement a must?

If you love ur life stay away from university of Sunderland. I take God beg u.

U can ask from Nigerians schooling there to know how far if some of them haven't been sent home by home office

For your health and that of your family members.

They report u to home office, withdrew admission once u fail to pay fees. They harass... Oh my God.

When I see students of Sunderland university I pity for them what they are going through

Right now they have withdrawn admission n reported many Nigerians students to home office. People are running here n there and meanwhile they still have 6 month's to graduate

This is a serious blow to Israel. The US and Isreal are seriously losing the optics while Hamas is winning the diplomatic war.

From the look of things, just like the ceasefire resolution that eventually passed with US abstaining from voting, the recognition of the Palestine state will pass eventually. It's never been this close.

To me I don't see the boy as mohbad biological son.. No resemblance to that effect. The way he looks, smile etc no resemblance

She should rather go for a DNA test to prove her self

Beremx:
Your mama will have to prove hers first. Go and ask your mama for DNA and see if she wouldn't slap you.
Well I don't know how you see my comment but it's logical. Take a look at the boy and see if any resemblance.

I am a father and I have children, when my wife gave birth. When everyone saw the child they said yes... I am the father. When my last child laugh.. You see my mother's face in her

Secondly, I hardly visit village. The first time I visited when grown. I was strolling n someon called my father's name who died 30 years ago. Another simply ask, are u from this family? You don't need to introduce your self they already know via facial resemblance. You can't hide it a lion can't give birth to a tiger.

But this days people gives birth to children that does not look like anyone in the family nor carries family trait then you start wondering where does this fall from.

Gggjhhj:

You fit no be your papa pikin too😂😂😂

I am my father's son. If you see my face n his picture, you won't argue.. This days people give birth to children that looks like friends at work or neighbours children etc.

sonofsteven:

I go with this ur explanations

When you see me, you will call me my brother, my mum the one wey senior me directly na my dad photocopy likewise all of us, when you see us outside, you will be like

Do I know you? You look like so so so and so

I'm like, yes that's my dad or my mum or my relatives

Three days back someone called me that he saw my brother in the mull. I told her do you know if I had a brother? She said she couldn't ask him but the resemblance. that immediately he brought his card to pay he saw my surname on his card.
You don't need to ask anyone if you see my brothers or sister.. You just know instantly

Sane Nigerian youths should be thinking of abandoning the sinking ship called a country. Go out and experience a better life. Nigeria is gone and it is irredeemable. Useless idiotic rulers and their stupid daft supporters.

Nigeria is not a sinking ship rather a blessed country with valuable minerals.
Only we have leaders that steal resources so we should unit and demand for better leaders to occupy position. Look at Abia state for an example.

Running away to foreign land is not guaranteed unless you are offered a COS by a reputable organisation other than that it's not easy out there

You didn’t offer any solutions or suggestions

We can’t copy the rest of the world, their currencies aren’t sinking the way ours is.

Desperate times require desperate measures.

CBN pumped dollars into the economy, within weeks the dollars disappeared. Exchange rate still took a nosedive
Pump 50m dollars or max 200m. That won't cure the problem.
Pump as much as possible or just Clear all request done through banks.
When you pick up a mastercard and wants to buy items online it should go.
When you want to pay for services online... It should go.
Buy goods from China... It should go or we deal on currency swap with them

The bottom line is tinubu and Buhari mismanaged our economy.. Before in 2006,2003 etc dollar was not a problem. Why now

Was that how it used to be before.

When government stopped selling dollars to banks for almost 2 years did BDC not flowrish?

Isnt itbthe same banks that are sellimg to the BDC? Greed and corruption has finished Naija. Banks will always tell toubthat they dont have newly printed notes, but BDC always have available. Who give them?

BDC gets their dollars through remittance and other sources.
It you doubt me let government stopped selling dollars to the bank as Buhari did in 2021/2022 and see if BDC won't still flowrish.

Soon you will blame market woman and call them greedy because things are expensive.

Tinubu n Buhari dabaru our economy... Fact

Madam banks are complicit. Nigerians are just bad people, the monies would end up in the hands of Aboki. CBN should stop giving cash (dollars) to banks, all transactions must be processed electronically

BDC business should be declared illegal with immediate effect otherwise the Naira slide won’t stop

First you should know that we are in a democracy and in all sane countries I see exchangers exchanging different currency.

Previously government do supply BDC which was the usual practice before they stopped it during Buhari period. Then even stop selling to banks, BDC all together. Banks were asked to source for dollars themselves.
But even at then.. BDC still got their dollars through various means and even where the ones supplying banks at that time.

Right now, do you know that there is no pounds in any bank? Even in black market no pounds as at today. Expect pounds to hit 2300 soon.
Then blame BDC.

The problem is APC, they mismanaged the economy.

So because tinubu failed in simple governance they should arrest and jail anyone found with dollar.
Then what should be done to tinubu that brought Buhari together they jointly destroy the beauty economy we have

When government stopped selling dollars to bank for almost 2 years... Was there any time aboki stop selling dollars?
Okay why not pay for goods and services abroad instead of giving physical cash
Politics / Re: EFCC Confronts BDC Operators In Abuja (video) by fastseo: 8:11pm On Feb 19
The government should service all valid dollar request through the bsnk and no one will go to aboki again.

But not clearing genuine requests of dollars and still wondering why it's increasing in black market is what I don't know.

Traders, importers etc all get their dollar from aboki that's fact

You are 100% right, many that came in from 2021 even before naira prob cheated during visa application by using untouchable loans to get a visa hoping to work and pay fees. They openly discuss and encourage it here, agents openly advertising proof of fund here.

Now they are crying and complaining, opening threads and lying to people about the cause of their predicament.

On june 30th/ August tinubu "Unified" exchange rate... A term he used to relived subsidy from the naira.

At the end of June 58,680 in year ending June 2023 where granted VISA . And the rate they used was cbn rate of 565/570. Meaning if your school fees was 14000 pounds with just 8 million you will pay 100% everything.

After June everything went up to over 100% and September/October it went up to 1300 per pounds.
And gradually it hits 1800 pounds meaning that you will need about 25m as against 8m for just school fees and you will need 18m for living expenses.

So while those (58 thousand Nigerians) who were granted visa and landed in UK before the unification of Naira (devaluation) and started seeing the news that naira has been devalued. Still put their hope on form A, left money in the bank and all that.

What would you advised them to do? Return back to Nigeria?

Finally do you have any statistical record from the UKVI that suggest that Nigerians use funds not belonging to them? Or you just summarise that from your head.

How. Could anyone have foretold that naira will be exchange at 2000+ to pounds
No one could have predicted that the naira will depreciated this bad..
If anyone had told me that cement will be sold at 10500 naira today I wouldn't have believed It.
Before I left Nigeria self it was 4600 I got it.
I am hearing garri is 2000 per paint.

So same way all this magic is happening over there in Nigeria same way students are feeling the heat here... We should show sympathy not the other way round
