chrisxxx: God bless Jonathan for setting the pace at the presidential level of conceding defeat. African leaders should know it is no weakness in conceding defeat. In democracy the majority says who leads them. They may be right in their decisions. They may also be wrong as examples abound even in our doorstep. Those who win should not view it as winners take it all. Lest nobody would concede defeat for obvious reasons of persecutions after leaving office.
Stop it......
Many African leaders conceded before Jonathan. Don't make it look like ineffectual buffon was the first to do so. Ineffectual buffon knew he could be killed like Ghadaffi if he tried any sh1t. There were 400 Marine waiting in Kumasi for him if he tried rubbish he planned after the election.
I hope hopeless, know nothing, inept, cunny, hypocritical, tribalistic, archaic, bigot Buhari concedes defeat in 2019 when he is finally defeated and disgraced out of office. It is true that PDP brought pain and hopelessness on Nigerians but Buharis has made it worse.
I wont listen to anyone who says 16 years of PDP destruction can't be corrected in two years. It is obvious Buhari lacks ideas and democratic zeal to work with every sections of Nigeria.
Oga, when are we going to do away with concrete stairs? This was number one reason I gave for not building a duplex. Are there no other options available for stairs other than concrete? This is 21st century.
Once my house finishing finishes in few weeks, I intend building a duplex in Lagos and I've been thinking about this stairs thing but I rather not build at all if the only option available is this concrete stairs.
abunafiu: I am glad you had a rethink follow addanys post. If you observe my previous posts, I currently run a 5kva inverter with a battery bank capable of storing 21600WH. My solar panel size is 4kw and shall be extended to 5kw in few months. I av been living off NEPA for quite some time now.
For you to make better decisions, Pls visit the solar fta thread. I am also an installer www.facebook.com/apexsolarnigeria I don't want to derail the thread unnecessarily, many other experienced brains are in the thread to guide you properly.
Those diesel generators are not pocket friendly in the long run.
I was reading through your posts last night. We need to talk oga mi.
How much is going to cost me to have 8 - 10 kva of solar power back up?
This is a serious enquiry.
I am willing to ship down the best inverter and batteries to achieve my aim of uninterrupted and clean energy. All you have to tell me is what and what to buy and I get them shipped down to Nigeria. If they available in Nigeria with not so much cost differential, then we can buy the materials in Nigeria.
adanny01: I really dont think you've been advised properly.
There are a lot of inverters that can handle such loads. The only matter is that the setup cost will be very high which is still comparable to running cost of the traditional diesel generators. A 40kva generator will carry the same load as a 40kva inverter system, the difference is that there will be a specific backup time with the inverter while diesel gives you the expensive flexibility of buying fuel to extend its backup time. If you have the money to do a proper hybrid (solar/grid-tie) backup system, it is far more preferable and convenient.
Besides, with the inverter, you can plan your load demanding appliances to be solar products. There are solar refrigerators, deep freezers, water pumps etc that can cut their power demands in half. An LED tv will save you up to 50% power that a Plasma TV would consume. Also, in designing an inverter system, it is not expected that all loads will be on at the same time. Take for instance the Microwave oven, how many hours in a day will it be required? Cumulatively, hardly an hour of 24.
An inverter system needs a diligent user who will be strict on power saving. An inverter system guarantees you TV viewing time, cold refrigerator or freezers, lighting even in the dead of the night, decent sleep with fan and still friendly to your pocket. You have the option of connecting only chosen loads to inverter and the rest of the loads remain on grid or gen. If there are 14 AC's in the house, you definitely sleep in one room with 1 AC, its a choice to limit the AC's on the inverter. Imagine running out of diesel or servicing at every 200hrs. You may spend like 6k every day depending on grid supply and loading plus 20k service as early as every 8 days if running gen 24/7.
Ask those who relied on generators how their lives changed after turning green, I am a witness. My small gen is covered in dust and cobwebs.
I started looking at that solar option again since yesterday. 10KVA solar power backup is still manageable for me.
3strikes: I really don't like Fastshipping but I have to say that he is very correct. The moderators should have banned Brabus longtime ago.
Nairalanders should have been warned. i remember calling Lawyer about Brabus and he said he doesnt want to get involve.
Brabus built my house and it was a lot of pain. I regretted it.
Thanks to all that have been fighting against these fraudsters.
lawyer: Yes i did. I have so many threads about these issues and if you go through them you would see i never supported these things. I was helpless because most of the people he defrauded preferred to deal with the issue privately and he had a lot of supporters here castigating me when ever i try to point it out. I have banned him so many times but he keeps coming up with new monikers. How do i keep up apart from warning people. Besides these crimes where committed outside Nairaland and i had no jurisdiction to interfere but anyone who calls me or mails me about Brabus i would refer them to all the complains on Nairaland and ask them to take their own personal decision.
I didn't neglect you. I have always been here but i have been much quieter at the background doing my job as a moderator. I choose not to contribute to topics these days because the responses are becoming more vindictive and comical. This is a serious section on Nairaland and i won't engage myself with trolls looking for a fight or those ready to derail a thread. My job is to ban, unban, recommend good posts for the frontpage, deal with the spambot and warn people privately not to violate the rules of Nairaland.
No you didn't. You should have created a sticker thread in property section warning people about Brabus antics. You chose to stay away from this property section. I never saw you here doing your job.
lawyer: This is big news. This issue has been cropping up for years and Bosun aka Brabus has been dodging every question to answer those aggrieved and became even more arrogant. The complains i have gotten about this guys was just too much and he looked unstoppable until now. Time to be blacklisted from Nairaland. We don't condone theft here. A word is enough for the wise. Don't patronize him again. Nairaland and Seun would not be held liable for any further misdeeds from him. If you get defrauded by him and transfer huge sums of money after this warning you are on your own o!
Lawyer, with all due respect, you should hide your head in shame. You never showed up in property section to do your job. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Did you warn anyone since you knew about him long time ago? You and Seun should have done a lot more than the warnings you are now giving. We knew all the allegations against Brabus couldn't be baseless but what can we do as members of this forum? We have nothing to do to curb his excesses. I was one of the people who first challenged him. As a matter of fact, I contacted him in 2014 on BB to build my house but by God's grace something just said I should give it to another nairalander. I never called or spoken to him on the phone before.
He defrauded many people in property section but I am still puzzled why those people he defrauded couldn't initiate a legal action against him.
3strikes: Someone please correct me. I know lastpage aka Excuzeme is his godfather but am not sure of fastshipping tho? Oga fastshipping how far?
You are not sure of fastshipping but you stylishly quoted me like I play this games you all play here.
What is my business with this nonsense? I don't have time for all these kind of nonsense. Stay away from my mention please. I have no time for this nonsense. I have no idea you have to quote me into this. I have never quoted you on this forum and never want to have anything to do with you because of your style. There are people I don't like to deal with here and you are one of them.
I don't know why you had to mention me when no one else quoted me. Why in the world you had to mention my name? I don't play that. I really don't know what you want me to do with Brabus if he defrauded you. Those who know the law and know what to do took him to court and now dealing with him. I don't have to fight anybody's battle. There is limit to what anyone can do if you are defrauded by Brabus or anyone for that matter. I have never spoken to Brabus on the phone in my life and I don't know why in the world you had to quote me because of Brabus. Where were you when I first challenged Brabus on this forum before Lastpage came in to challenge him further?
I repeat, stay away from me from now on. I don't ever want to have anything to do with you. Nothing personal. I just don't like your way here.
They are as fake as they can get. It is just not possible to have legitimate properties springing up everyday like that on Lekki/Ajah axis on daily basis. Don't believe the colorful boards and pamphlets they are posting everywhere.
bfire: I guess most of you know who the below person is: nexthome
Lagos-A 37-year-old estate agent, Bosun Shoyoye, who allegedly stole N5 million was yesterday arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate's court at Igbosere.
The defendant, who resides at Imedu Awoyaya, in Eti-Osa Local Government in Lagos is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and theft.
The prosecutor, SP Eshiet Eshiet, told the court that the defendant committed the alleged offence in September at Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos State.
He further told the court that the defendant stole the N5 million from one Adebayo Adegbola under the guise that he was a reputable project manager, and that he had handled several estates projects for several people, which he knew to be false.
According to Eshiet, the offence committed was contrary and punishable under Section 312, 267 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and the magistrate, Miss Olanike Olagbinde, granted him N500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned to December 15 for mention.
Empiree: really?. But i see big ones like those (not sure if they are brand new) but saw the price for #1.5 and #2m respectively. Didnt know they are that expensive. Thats why it makes sense to me to buy 60KVA. I better rethink fast fast
Those ones you saw are used generators. They are in property section going for 800k to 1.5 Million Naira.
mufutau55: True o. I will eventually grab one o. Damn 3.8m, almost increase of 100%. I feel sorry for us with the forex hiking everything o. God help us o.
Hajji M.
There is no way I pay 3.8 Million Naira for 20KVA generator. I rather go with the 9KVA Honda generator selling for $5000. The only issue is the noise. I have been looking at the alternative options in the last one hour. 3.8 Million naira won't work for me.
mufutau55: Thank you Mr. FastShipping. I agreed with you because I have witnessed it in action. My wife and kids had to drag me away from watching this generator work.
Hajji M.
Stop watching it. Go and grab yours. I have decided to buy one for keep just in case.
I made enquiry about 20kva Mikano today and was told it is now 3.8 Million Naira. Nigeria has gone to the dogs. They claim this same generator was sold for 2 Million Naira earlier this year.
Empiree: What if someone chooses to buy 60KVA like k1 but doesnt really have much appliances or load on it, what happens in this case?. More comfortable or has negative effect?.
No negative effect. You only paid for power you don't necessarily need. That's it....
mufutau55: More reason all these generators have levels. They are not all of the same quality. Mine can be more silent than yours even though they are of the same brand. The most quiet brand of portable generator I have heard is a Honda at an event, and not be small money o. See pics below.
Hajji M.
The best portable generator on the planet at the moment. It cost about $5000.
It is super quiet. You can't hear its noise from 15 feet away.
mufutau55: 8.6 KVa Starting Watts 7.2 KVa Continuous Running Watts
Base your load on the Running Watts which is 7.2 Kva.
Hajji M.
With that 7.2KVA capacity, he should not exceed 5KVA loads for maximum power and output. Because it is 7.2KVA doesn't mean he should load the generator close to that capacity.
csiworksnig: the first and the third which are of the same colour and paint are my work. I run a finishing company and we pay attention to detail.. we use stencil brush to finish off the edges of our work so it does bleed into one another..
