TravelRe: Living In The UK: Property,Mortgage And Related by fasttrack(m): 12:21pm On Oct 29, 2025
DubbieLala:
Hi guys, I really need some help here. My husband and I are buying a property and we put down 15% deposit which is in our LISA over the years. My husband recently joined my AJO group in June and used his main bank account to receive the deposits. I honestly had no idea that it could cause a big issue. We were nearly closing in on the deal when one of the conveyancers noticed it in his statement and they decided to stop acting on our behalf because it is too high risk. Please can someone here share sample documents that they have used for due diligence for these AJO cases in their own sale contract so we can present to them or our subsequent lawyers. TIA
Just show deposits where your husband made his own transfers towards his monthly contribution and explain what Ajo is. Its not borrowed funds, it's literally a type of saving, however not done through the bank or financial institution.
Your solicitor should be fine with that, they just want to ensure the funds are legit and yours.

I’ve not gotten my passport, I paid for courier so I’m expecting them to bring it. As for flights Qatar airways has a direct flight to Liverpool from Lagos so that’s what I’m considering for now. Price currently 1.7
They will stop over at Doha, however it will be direct from Doha to Liverpool

RomanceRe: Nigerian Woman Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Her Husband’s Side-chick In UK by fasttrack(m): 12:53pm On Jul 07, 2024

the lady did not snatch her husband. The one arrested claimed that she took the other in when she was pregnant and took care of her but the other one paid her back by sending a message to her husband in Nigeria that she s doing Ashawo in UK.
This is the only person that watched and read the story on instablog. Everyother person is talking trash even the OPs post is misleading. Thats why people dont help other abroad. Just unfortunate the lady's kindess backfired on her.

brother stop being stupid na. you can compare cost of living between countries without salary entering the topic. its like you people cannot think in fragments. thats the benefit of schooling abroad, they teach you how to think in fragments. YOU CAN COMPARE COST OF LIIVING BETWEEN COUNTRIES WITHOUT TALKING ABOUT WAGES. APPLE COST X AMOUNT HERE AND Y AMOUNT THERE ETC ETC ETC. LEARN TO BE ABLE TO THINK IN FRAGMENTS. EVERYTHING DOESNT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE COMPREHENSIVELY ARGUED. YOU CAN ISOLATE AND EXTRAPOLATE AND FOCUS ON THAT
Congrats for schooling abroad. You are trying to inform people of the high cost of rent in jand compared to Nigeria. What's the essence of this comparism.

It's pointless having this conversation, you re too immature to have a conversation with, it's obvious you aren't exposed
People come in here information, and make decisions based on information.

FINALLY SOMEONE WHO GETS IT
You are confused, your topic has no basis, but from all Inducations, it's assumed you were trying to buttress a point that the uk is a more expensive place to live in than Naija.

If you do this, you have to factor in wages and see if that compensates the high cost

brother, this is a cost of living anaysis not a ' what you earn ' analysis. COST OF LIVING !!!!!!. do you gerrit ?
That's why you have to compare it to what you earn. Then you can now start analysing

Sticking to the topic.... this is about cost of living..... not standard of living. .... and specific to rent.. OP.... you can't look at cost in isolation .... it must be attached to something.... salary. Let's consider base salary .... minimum wage..... that of the UK.... and that of Nigeria. Similar studio apartment in similar neighbourhood..... ghetto/highbrow.... what is the annual rent including electricity? To make a fair comparison.... how many months does each has to work to pay that rent? Do the math.....I'm sure the conclusion will be very different.
It's obvious the OP hasn't lived in both places, that's why he's based his assumptions blindly

use your brain na, it is a comparative living cost analysis between two countries
If you are intelligent which I initially thought you were, you will factor in wages, feeding and other basics costs and see who's able to have more savings at the end of the day. You don't compare a minimum earner to an average income earner.
Can a min wage earner in naija live in the apartment in Osapa London.

No, the low self esteem is on you. Your argument is laughable and you will live in self denial the rest of your miserable life. I do not understand how anyone in their right sense would compare living in the uk and Nigeria.

What did you smoke?
"So in essence in the UK his cost of living is 9 times what it is in nigeria. Isnt that amazing ?" What's the essence of this post. Is this post to inform people of
how expensive it is to live in the uk or why did u post this info sef.

Hahaha, you don't argue with people who are less informed and don't understand the meaning of analysis. You leave them. Sukkot obviously is a child n novice, who is less informed but thinks he/she's the smartest.

Sorry for your refusal letter, You may wish to go back a few threads, you would find there similar cases of refusal and gallant advises that were dished out at that time.

However, if that would be a bit of further stress, this is what i would advice
You may which to run a separate account other than your company's account, where you will pay yourself monthly income at a specific date for a period of six month, whilst doing so you try to have an explainable monthly disposable income that would address your current refusal letter. You should be aware that your monthly income should be such that it correlates with your yearly earnings.
I have stated a 6 months period as in most cases a 6 months bank statement is what is required, however, i have also read here where successful applicants submitted for a lesser period.

Thank you and wish you a successful application next time.
Yup, really really dicey mate, bc they need the spouse presence in the UK when issuing depandant visas for kids. You can write to enquire the reason for denial in 2015, they have the records for this.

CrimeRe: Hadiza Babayo: Lady Kidnaps Her Cousin For N6m Ransom In Gombe State [photo] by fasttrack(m): 7:30pm On Sep 20, 2019
babecode:
An 18-year-old girl, Hadiza Babayo has been arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Gombe State for kidnapping her uncle's 4-year-old daughter. The suspect kept the little girl at a hotel in Nayi-Nawa area of Gombe metropolis and demanded N6 million as ransom from her parents. Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mary Malum said Hadiza was arrested based on credible intelligence the SARS operatives got.

She said, “During the course of interrogation, Hadiza Babayo confessed to the crime and stated how she and one Bala Shuaibu, abducted the victim from Gombe High school and kept her in a hotel at Nayi-Nawa quarters Gombe, where they demanded a ransom of six million naira (N6m) from the victim’s father before she could be released.

“After bringing her from school, I arranged to take her to my boyfriend (Shuaibu), we wanted to use the opportunity to get money from my uncle since he had not shown me enough care,” she said.
