The couple got married 9 months ago in an exclusive ceremony in Dubai on April 26, 2014. The Federal Government is proposing to spend N517.9m this year on meals and refreshments for the Presidency, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ministries of Power and Petroleum and their parastatals. The amount is contained in the details of the 2015 budget breakdown, which was obtained by Punch correspondents in Abuja on Sunday. Out of the N517.9m, a provision of N174.54m was made for refreshments and meals for the State House in 2015. For the office of the President, the budget breakdown revealed that a provision of N142.47m was made for 2015 for refreshments and meals. For the Vice-President, a provision of N25.58m was made for meals and refreshments. However, while the State House Headquarters, Office of the President and the Vice President all have a combined budgetary provision of N342.59m for refreshments and meals, the 10 agencies under the presidency had a provision of just N67.4m for the same items. They are the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Millennium Development Goals which has a provision of N8.49m; the Bureau for Public Enterprises, N14.72m; the National Emergency Management Agency,N14m; and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission N20m. Others are the Bureau of Public Procurement, N5.52m; the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, N3.81m; and the Office of the Chief Economic Adviser to the President, N838,758. www.360nobs.com/2015/01/2015-budget-check-how-much-the-presidency-will-spend-on-food/ www.dailypost.ng/2015/01/05/presidency-others-propose-n517-9m-budget-meals-amid-austerity-measures/ |

LAGOS State has banned all religious crusades until further notice as part of a programme to contain the spread of the ebola virus currently sweeping across West Africa following medical advice indicating that it spreads in large gatherings. Over recent months, almost 2,000 people have been infected with the deadly ebola virus disease (EVD), with Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia being the worst affected countries. Almost 800 people have died from the virus that came into Nigeria when an American-born Liberian Patrick Sawyer attended an Ecowas conference in Calabar and subsequently died in Lagos. With the number of Nigerian cases growing by the day, Nigerian authorities have been forced to act and yesterday, the Lagos State government decided to ban all large gatherings. Dr Jide Idris, the Lagos State health commissioner, said that the state government has ordered churches and Muslim prayer groups to suspend all crusades and other programmes that will attract large gatherings to avoid spread of the virus. He added that the government has already written to churches and mosques, pointing out that large gathering should be avoided at this period until further notice. Dr Idris also said more volunteers were urgently needed to join the crusade to defeat ebola as the situation is extremely dire. Dr Idris assured everyone that the government would guarantee the safety of doctors and others that would volunteer and would give them life insurance cover. According to the commissioner, two of the patients with EVD were in a critical condition at the isolation centre where they were being treated. Providing further details, Dr Idris added: “Based on contact tracking arising from the index case that came into the country from Liberia, a total of 70 persons were monitored. Of these, eight have been admitted and their blood samples taken. “Results of five out of the eight blood samples taken have been received with four testing positive while the fifth person was negative. Results of three samples are outstanding and regrettably, one of the eight admitted died, thus bringing deaths recorded on account of the virus outbreak to two.” He appealed to businessmen and women engaged in the sale of materials and equipment needed for the management of ebola not to cash in on this unfortunate situation to hike their prices. Furthermore, Dr Idris called for vigilance as human beings could only contract the disease through physical contact with a person who is acutely and gravely ill from the ebola virus. www.nigerianwatch.com/news/5040-lagos-state-government-bans-all-religious-crusades-in-a-bid-to-halt-the-spread-of-ebola

The Normal salt we use at home is dehydrated, not for detoxification... When you bath with salt, you become more prone to infections.. There is strong evidence that links our current high salt intake to high blood pressure. High blood pressure is the main cause of strokes and a major cause of heart attacks and heart failures, the most common causes of death and illness in the world. It is also widely recognized that a high salt diet is linked to other conditions, such as osteoporosis, cancer of the stomach, kidney disease, kidney stones, obesity and exacerbating the symptoms of asthma, Meniere’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, hypertension, cardiovascular and Diabetes. I'm not saying you should not do it but be careful what you waste your time on, especially my 'supposed educated friends and colleagues' who are still spreading the Salt broadcast. This is how to protect yourselves from Ebola: (1) Wash Your Hands With SOAP not Salt, do this a lot . (2) Use a Good Sanitizer. (3) Avoid Unnecessary Contact (4) No Bush Meat & Suya. ( Bush meat 'MAY' be carrying the virus, same as Suya) (5) Disinfect your surrounding: The virus cannot survive disinfectants, heat, direct sunlight, detergents and soaps. (6) Fumigate your surrounding, rodents can be carrier of Ebola. And YES!...Am a christian and am not disputing the essence of spirituality but please let's be wise, stop spreading lies to people especially if u run a media channel.

No EBOLA for our Children ...... There has been world Alert on Ebola Virus since feb 2014, Yet our Govt didn't put measures in place to control people coming in from affected countries. Today a Nurse has been confirmed dead by Ebola and others tested positive. Why do we always like looking for umbrella after we ve been beaten by rain, We Always wait to lose match before we ban NFF, We always wait for a plain crash before we suspends outdated aircraft, What a country! By September schools will reopen, the affected people @ d moment ve families and kids. Am sure d Govt is waiting to hear outbreak of Ebola virus in a particular school before telling us their plans to protect our Children from contacting Ebola virus. Govt should start now to announce that all schools private or government owned, both Primary/ Secondary should remain on holidays until a confirmed cure or measures to counter this deadly virus is discovered and available. A dead child cannot be educated. We don't know who's gonna be next |

Weeks after 2face Idibia slammed a N100million lawsuit against soft-sell magazine, Icon Weekly, after they published a story claiming he had cheated on his wife and impregnated a banker, (read here) the magazine has apologized to the singer and have withdrawn their story, accepting that it was a false publication. With this, the suit will most likely be struck out as 2face is said to have accepted the apology. www.informationng.com/2014/08/icon-mag-apologizes-to-2face-over-pregnancy-story-after-he-sued-for-n100m.htm www.nollywoodmagazine.com/2014/08/icon-mag-apologizes-to-2face-over-pregnancy-story-after-he-sued-for-n100m.htmll

Patoo Abraham has become famous for fighting for the rights of prostitutes, but what she – and those she is trying to help – do to make a living is illegal and frowned upon by many in the country. Abraham is not only proud of her profession but is also campaigning to ensure that prostitution is legalised and that s*x workers are respected in Africa’s most populous country. The 48-year-old has led a couple of protests in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, demanding the rights of prostitutes in a country where s*x vendors suffer physical harm at the hands of their punters. Continue… Under the auspices of different organisations, scores of prostitutes marched on the streets of Lagos, chanting provocative slogans. This boldness is unprecedented, and the protesters carried their signature red umbrellas and T-shirts with the inscription “s*x work is work, we need our rights.” “We are tired of dying in silence,” Abraham, who heads the Nigerian chapter of African s*x Workers Alliance (ASWA), told Al Jazeera. “We want to be able to practise our profession with pride like every other person. We want an end to name-calling and stigmatisation. We are s*x workers and not asawo [a Yoruba derogatory name for prostitutes].” s*x work, said Abraham, is normal work and that there are “s*x workers everywhere under one form of disguise or the other”. “[The] government should stop criminalising our work,” said the woman who is also the president of the Women of Power Initiative (WOPI), a non-governmental organisation established to advance the cause of s*x work in Nigeria. Although Nigeria has posted impressive economic growth, overtaking South Africa to become Africa’s largest economy, unemployment remains widespread and many Nigerian women have ended up working as prostitutes in part because they cannot find work. Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said in April that no fewer than 5.3 million youths are jobless, and the World Bank last year put the number of Nigerians living in destitution at 100 million. www.informationng.com/2014/08/nigerian-prostitute-patoo-abraham-leads-protest-for-prostitutes-rights-in-lagos-photo.html

There is nothing like Fulani herdsmen they are an arm of boko haram. Let's all stop pretending. If Muslims want their own country out of Nigeria let them come out clearly and demand it, it is not out of place . But killing innocent people as they are doing now is unacceptable. And should be resisted with full force. |
I love mout zion films, they are the only films that made sense to me in terms of message films like, just a little sin, Boold on the altar has got me running for my bible , more sober, reflecting on the consequences of sin |
