Politics › Re: Atiku Abubakar Announces His Return To PDP by Favor16: 7:23pm On Dec 03, 2017 |
I believe Nigeria has a great future and need great leaders to get there but currently the caliber of people leading the nation are not doing enough to take her to her great future ,come 2019 every tribe and region should come together to make the right decision through their votes Built2last: Buhari has not fulfilled one election promise. He narrowly won Jonathan with 2.5 million votes. Those disappointed with Buhari is over 5 million. He can't win.
APC should get ready forget the BMC and their e-rants. They know they have a tough job ahead. The vote in the north will be divided.
THE BUHARI TRAGEDY; HOW DID WE GET HERE?
That President Muhammadu Buhari lacks both the intellectual, mental and emotional wherewithal to preside over even an Umunna meeting in his Daura village has never been in doubt. He remains a pathetic excuse for a President. Even the dark Goggled tyrant, Abacha, wasn't this terrible. Abacha was simply a thieving dictator and most of his tyranny were actually not unconnected with his desire to bury the June12 ghost. So there is a sense in which it can be argued that Abacha's madness had a method.
But this man here??
He seems quite uniquely sophisticated in the ways of inflicting pain, misery, death, wars and woes on his fellow Nigerians. It does appear he enjoys it, too.
His is a govt deeply rooted in official roquery, banditry and brigandage.
Under this Katsina born ex-soldier, official bigotry, clannishness and demonic nepotism have all been institutionalized.
In a nutshell, President Buhari is running an apartheid govt premised on Northernization, Fulanization and Islamization. Ironically, even in his own govt, he's but a pawn in the hands of the powerful #ScionsOfDanfodio calling the shot.
But,
This is not even my greatest pain.
My greatest 'wonderment' remains how 15million men and women, some of whom lay claim to superior knowledge and higher intellect, failed to see the Buhari fraud for what it has always been despite the signs that were all too glaring for even a blind man not to have seen.
History is alive and well with the records of gross human right abuses, tyranny, first class bigotry and criminal disdain for democratic processes and procedures which characterized Buhari's short but iniquitious stint in power some three decades ago.
Practically everything happening under him today happened during his first missionary journey.
The tragedy of this whole thing is that most of the so called intellectuals who foisted this disaster on Nigerians actually witnessed the calamity that was his 1st coming. In fact, some of them were direct victims. Under decree 4 promulgated specifically to gag free press, Buhari jailed Tunde Thompson and Nduka Irabor for publishing stories he says were embarrassing to his regime. But in 2015, Tunde Thompson was in Buhari campaign team chanting #SaiBaba.
A tragic irony, isn't it?
Even before 2015 poll, there were clear signs signalling the disaster that this man has always been.
So,
How did Professors, PhD holders and highly lettered men/women convince themselves that an ex-treasonous dictator who failed woefully even with a loaded gun and a suspended constitution in his much younger age was the right man to fix a 21st century Nigeria under a democracy with its attendant bureaucratic bottleneck
Just how
He (Buhari) didn't initiate even a single economic program during his time as head of state.
For over 3 decades that he was out of power, he did absolutely nothing to improve himself in anyway. He never run any business except his 150 legendary homosexual cows. He delivered no lecture. Wrote no book and organised no workshop even if it is on islamization and Fulanization -his forte. He made no attempt to contribute to the society in any way.
All he did was come out every 4 years to contest, loose the election, engineer his minions to soak "Dogs and Baboons" in blood only to go back and wait for another 4 years.
In 2011, he contested on the platform of the defunct CPC which had only one state of Nassarawa, yet, he vehemently refused to concede defeat. Even when his supporters were killing Nigerians in a post election violence provoked by his pre-election utterances, Buhari rejected all effort by the govt of Jonathan to get him to halt the bloodshed by condemning the violence. In the end, over 800 Nigerians including youth corps members lay lifeless.
Yet,
Men who spent years suckling from the breast of knowledge swore that this same man was the political "Messiah" needed to gift Nigerians with Eldorado
How?
I've heard some ex-Buharists justify their Buharism by claiming that Jonathan's incompetence made Buhari an option. But I believe its only a foolish car owner that will knowingly replace his incompetent driver with an unlicensed one who doesn't know the position of the ignition key in the vehicle.
Education is supposed to equip one with the mental capacity to discern.
Yet, our Professors, Lawyers, Doctors and Academics all failed to discern the Buhari fraud -something Nkume my illiterate village clown was able to do successfully.
Could it be that our education is truly over-rated??

Euro 2016: Possible fan frustrations? Story highlights UEFA opens disciplinary proceedings against Russian Football Union At least 35 people were injured Saturday in fan clashes (CNN)Russia and England could be kicked out of the Euro 2016 championship if their supporters are involved in further acts of violence at the tournament, UEFA has warned.
UEFA's executive committee told the football associations of both countries Sunday that their teams could face further sanctions -- including potential disqualification from the tournament -- if their fans were involved in a repeat of the scenes that marred their fixture in Marseille Saturday. UEFA, the governing body of football in Europe, has already opened disciplinary proceedings against the Russian Football Union over its supporters' behavior in Marseille. It faces charges of crowd disturbances, racist behavior and setting off fireworks Saturday in the southern French city's Stade Velodrome. France braces for intense security around Euro 2016 championship
Photos: Euro 2016: Day 2 "UEFA expresses its utter disgust for the violent clashes that occurred in the city center of Marseille, and its serious concern for the incidents at the end of the match inside Stade Velodrome," UEFA said in a statement. "This kind of behavior is totally unacceptable and has no place in football."
Fans clash at Stade Velodrome in Marseille. It said a decision on the sanctions would be made "within the next few days," once evidence had been considered. No action has been taken against England's Football Association, whose fans were also involved in the clashes on the third straight day of football-related violence in the port city. UEFA is responsible for incidents at match venues, but not in surrounding areas. Dozens injured, 8 arrests At least 35 people were injured Saturday, four of them seriously, said Mathieu Duroselle, a spokesman for Marseille police. The number included three officers who suffered slight injuries, he said. Eight people were arrested, including British, Russian and French citizens. The British government said in a statement Sunday that six British nationals were hospitalized and several others had received treatment. "The UK Government is deeply concerned by the violence in Marseille last night, including reports that in some cases England fans were attacked by rival supporters," it said. "We condemn the violence and urge calm on all sides." It said it welcomed UEFA's launching of an investigation into the violence at the stadium, and had offered to send additional British police to France ahead of England's next match, against Wales in Lens.
FIFA, the sport's international governing body, also released a statement condemning the violence. The organization said it was "wholly unacceptable to see such shameful scenes around football matches perpetrated by a minority of idiotic troublemakers, who have nothing to do with football and its true fans."
Clashes in the stadium following the England-Russia match. Violent scenes The specter of hooliganism returned to the high-profile tournament Saturday as rival fans brawled before and after the match. The fixture, anticipated by fans as the marquee game of the second day of Euro 2016, ended in a 1-1 tie. In chaotic scenes involving hundreds of fans, throngs of rival supporters rushed at one another, hurling bottles, chairs and other objects, and forcing police in riot gear to fire tear gas in response. |
Politics › Five New Roads Commissioned In Aba by Favor16(op): 1:31pm On Jun 13, 2016 |
The governor of Abia State Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has said that most of the roads being built by his government in Aba are designed to create access to strategic markets in the city with a view to enhancing the economic development of the state.
The Governor who stated this during the commissioning of five roads completed by his government in Aba the commercial nerve centre of the state further said that the roads are meant to provide alternative access into the city.
The road projects which include Ehere,Umuojima which was renamed Dr Chima Nwafor Road, as well as the Umuocham-Umule-Umuehilegbu road according to the Governor has defied solutions over the years and expressed the hope that they will last longer this time around especially with the use of cement pavement technology.
Dr Ikpeazu made public that he is working hard to intervene on the Port Harcourt Road, saying that he will not be deterred by the scarce resources at his disposal.
He promised to do his best to lift the burden of the people of the state and assured that he will complete all the projects he started in the state.
According to him,he has opened discussions with his Akwa Ibom state counterpart on how to rehabilitate the deplorable road leading from Aba to Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom state soon, adding that with time, his government will be able to construct a fly over in Aba.
He thanked his Sokoto state counterpart for coming to commission the roads.
Commissioning the roads, Rt Hon Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state commended the Governor of Abia state for managing the money available to him judiciously to be able to complete the road projects and by so doing alleviating the plight of the people.
He called on the people of the state to continue to support the Governor, Dr Ikpeazu to do more.
Earlier in his remark, the commissioner for Works, Hon Eziuche Ubani who described the roads as important and strategic said they all came with drainages to check flooding while the rigid pavement technology was adopted to make them more durable.
The Governor later flagged –off the MCC road for reconstruction.

Adminisher: Because they are wise enough to know it is probably not true that it was to oust Jonathan. Also human life was involved abd it is only an IDIOT like Fayose who could have made this statement. Even if it was done to embarass the government, it is idiotic to think 276 girls all participated willingly.
If you get a message that your daughter was kidnapped, it is almost 5% probability that she absconded with her boyfriend but you are a BIG FOOL as a parent if you take that 5 % provability as 100% truth. You always have to always proceed on the premise that the story is true vecause of human life involved which is very precious. The PDP un-intellectual faction made up of ex taxi drivers like Fayose and housewives like Patience Jonathan were the wreckers of the Jonathan presidency. The northern elites and their south western supporters does not have regard for human life hence they were ready to do every thing possible to demonize GEJ's government with the help of their US and British journalists . |

FKO81: Awka is the capital of Anambra State, Nigeria with an estimated population of 301,657 As of 2006 Nigerian census, Strategically, Awka is located midway between two major cities in Northern Igboland, Onitsha and Enugu which has informed its choice as an administrative center for the colonial authorities and today as a base for the Anambra State government. Awka before Obiano's administration was nothing to write home about, now things are changing gradually within two years of his administration, part of efforts to transform Awka as a modern city., In addition to the overhead bridges, Obiano’s government has started the construction of the three arms zone, a five –star hotel, a 5000 sitting capacity conference center and a shopping mall in the capital city. The governor said all the roads to be constructed by his administration would be complemented with street light to improve the skyline of the state capital.

centvin008: There was anxiety yesterday in the political camps of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State ahead of tomorrow’s Supreme Court verdict on the governorship election appeal between Governor Udom Emmanuel of the PDP and Umana Umana of the APC.
The Supreme Court fixed tomorrow for hearing in the appeal. Based on the current trend with appeal cases in other states, the apex court is expected to deliver judgement on the same day.
Already, members of both parties have taken to the social media to express diverse opinions on what the outcome of the verdict could be.
Those in the PDP are hoping that the verdict would not be different from what the Supreme Court justices delivered in the case between Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and APC’s Dakuku Peterside, which upheld Wike’s election.
But those in APC hoped Umana would defeat Emmanuel, based on the facts and evidence before the court. It was learnt that the state’s Local Government and Chieftaincy Commissioner had started mobilising former political office holders ahead of the possible outcome of the verdict.
Some text messages forwarded to the former chairmen was obtained by our reporter. One of them reads: “Chair, pls attend an urgent meeting with the Commissioner for Local Government, Victor Antai, as follows: Date February 1, 2016; Time – 1pm; Venue: Ministry of Local Government, Uyo. Please, come with all former caretaker/transition chairmen in your local government who are still members of the PDP. Thanks.”
The agenda of the meeting, it was learnt, would dwell on the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal pending before the Supreme Court, whose verdict would be delivered tomorrow.
