Thanks for your quick response!! My mum got a place there and I was saying its kinda far from almost everything we are used to. But she is saying it's gonna get better as the years goes by. Hopefully it's so. Been reading the news about upcoming Mile 12 and the Omo baba saw mill relocation. Jus kinda anxious about other ppl thought(that know the area) about the place. I like there cos it's quite and the road to the place is tared sort of. n3xt: 100 minutes by road at 80mph 35 minutes by Ferry Service
Though the ferry service is not so effective. |

If I may ask from Ota Ikosi (agbowa) to Ajah howfar is it? n3xt: Finally, I'm beginning to see my chateau decision falling in right places.
You will not believe that I only need to drive for 90 mins from my Chateau to Ajah Lagos using the Epe road. The only reason it'll take that long is because of the bad and very lonely road. When I was picking the place, I already envisage that one government will definitely see the need to bridge the link between Lagos and neighbouring cities and decongest Lagos mainland for proper megacity plan but many people don't see it. I was expecting the present government in Ogun state to have align with the same vision but I think he too is doing well cos the final link road to My Chateau-Agbowa-Itokin-Epe-Ajah expressway has been approved for expansion into a 4 lane road even though they've not done it but the project board has been installed.
Now, with the ongoing 10 lane road and the whole lot of activities happening on that corridor especially on Itokin-Agbowa-Ikorodu road, I guess it's time to go back home. Cos I can easily drive 20 mins to Agbowa /Imota and fly a boat to anywhere in Lekki or drive maximum 60 mins from Sagamu to Ajah.
God bless good vision. Time to invest in the future for the great great great grandkids!! |
Properties › Re: What Age Should Owning A House Become A Priority? by Favored4gud: 12:05am On May 16, 2016 |
People come come far places cos that's where the can afford. The problem is no good road network in Nigeria that's y ppl will wake at 2 or 3am as u so claim to get ready for work. Joe Biden is the Vice President of US. He takes the train daily from Delaware to DC for work The distance is about 1-1and a half hours ride. If one can afford or has the opportunity to build do so. Lekki is not what it used to be. Land always do appreciate just give it time. So if you find an opportunity to acquire a good one please do so. mbhs139: I totally agree with you. It is this craze to own a house or becomes landlord, to oppress or the craze to let the world knows that we have arrived the gives some folks the incentives to be corrupt. In saner climes, I don't think being your own landlord is the in thing, rather, having a good abode, with the necessary facilities holds sway. What they do is pay mortgage over a period of time from your monthly income and the flat becomes yours.
I once read in Ovation magazine, way back then, that the house being occupied by Princess Diana, on Piccadilly St., London, is owned by a Nigerian, and the Queen pays the rent. In order words, even the Queen of England is a tenant.
Building a house, for me personally, is not a priority. There're other things one can invest in other than real estate. I just want to own a flat, 3bedroom Max, where me and my family will live comfortably.
Go to Unilag and see how stressed majority of her workforce are. Most of them come from ikorodu, some as far as Agbowa, claiming ikorodu, just because of " ehn, I'm living in my house..." Some of them are down with stroke. A lady in my office that lives in ikorodu leaves nothing later than 4:30am, all because of cheaper rent. And she leaves the office by 2 or 3 pm sometimes and gets home by 6 or 7. |

Read it again and understand what Cameron is indicating. He is saying him as a representative of UK and other Nations that allow such act, are part of the problem. No hypocrisy there. When someone finally admit they are part of a problem and decides to call out others that are part of a problem and want a solution and not be part of it any more. Its like you stealing n giving me to keep n one day I say I don't want to be part of it anymore and call out on others that are part of it. So we can keep a clean slate. My hope is that they honor their words or commitment. politricks: The bolded statement above summarises the whole article and the gross hypocrisy of that useless cameron abi na amplicox. How can someone you know is a thief gives you money to hold and you accept it only to turn around and call that person 'corrupt' what about you?. Be thankful to ur maker for life. We came with nothing n will return with nothing. It can be worse than u have. Always be thankful. Always remember NOTHING in life time permanent. finalboss1: A USER NEEDS YOUR HELP URGENTLY FRM FACEBOOK #TVCONNECT The issue is, my last relationship has been over a year now, and yeah I gave up the cookie and dude started acting up so I just freed him, but I made up my mind that going forward any single guy I date, its no sex before marriage. The 3 abortions is enough. Its now like this decision "done over me" cos i tire. I have some random toasters but nothing serious, and I haven't really met someone I like. My major issue is i'm tired of this celibacy (if using sex-toys and not having sex classifies), this past year that vibrating lipstick they sell has been my best friend. For some strange reasons I don't fancy dildos never used one and don't see myself using it, i'm just at a point in my life were i think i need the real deal. Its either my personality or my looks, I've got loads of admirer's and people never believe i'm single but now i am dying inside. As single guys have decided to be douche bags I am leaning towards agreeing for this married man. Sincerely it is not about the money, dude lives in a rented apartment (I mean if i wanna date for money i will go for dabota lawson's kinda money). Did I mention that my lives with another married man, but I don't intend to live with him? I work and pay my bills i am actually content with my finances. So now married man and i have gotten close and really i just feel like using him for the fun of it. Because besides boredom I just need a man's touch in my life, as single guys have decided to be funny this seems like the next option. Just that I feel guilty (I am born again and God has really been good to me) but aunty at this point what's a girl gotta do? cos I am tired at 29 yet no man... |

A surveyor should have that information for you. Cos they have to check the records and be sure it's not govt land. That's why they get paid that much. Ask around for a reliable surveyor that can do the job for you.

Agbowa is a place springing up. Lands are cheap now and its a good time to buy for the unknow future. In regards to estates I am not certain about their programs and all. Always make sure to ask lots of questions n read fine print before you part with your hard earned cash.
I bought some lands in Ota Ikosi not far from Agbowa and didnt have to go through all the C of O thing. I would advise to research more. Cos those so called estate ppl are out to make money. So they come up with all kinds of stuff.
Yoyr friend can get their own surveyor to come do the work n negotiate. They charge 100k per plot. Did mine in 2015. So look for one, unless the estate as usual would not allow n want to use their's to make money.
Building in lagos can be crazy cos of the undocumented and unnecessary process one has to go through. Also if your friend can, find land outside an estate or read all fine prints of the estate n be sure he or she agrees to the terms. Hope this helps a lil. |
