Hi AppleofGod, how far with the Iganke site. Pls share update. Am curious as you. I tried to PM you but didn't get a response. AppleofGod: We recently bought lands at Agbowa Ikosi @ N500k but it was not enough for farming. We were introduced to Iganke along the expressway @ N250,000 it's 10-15mins driving from Agbowa Ikosi bus stop and its cheaper but because of the thick forest it's scaring. I am confused because of the forest there, what do you think of that area. |

Thank you for this advise!! the best so far!! Godmother: Pls disclose, dear. Send a PM to that moniker telling of how much you need. He or she might just help you out.
Then to your topic: A lot of people have given you terrific advice here. Please don't listen to anyone saying your brother and his wife are demons. In actual fact, they owe you nothing and any assistance they render to you should be appreciated. Not saying they shouldn't help, but if they can't then you shouldn't cry foul and come here threatening to invoke one dead parent or something.
Continue with making your hair. It doesn't and won't in any way affect your education if you plan it well. Making hair is hot cake and you can set aside just few hours a day, few days of the week and make enough to cater for your needs and still have some spill-over for your kid brother.
If your elder brother sees you doing this, it will achieve two things:
1. You will gain A LOT of respect in his eyes. 2. You will challenge him to start fending for you both again.
You sitting down and crying "God" everyday will not help matters. And He will not come down to give you naira, madam. He already gave you a brain and some good skills. Continue using them. |

Yeah I wish it was like that back home too. But its not and cos we have a culture of dependency that y somethings are the way they are. I am guilty of the dependancy too till I was disappointed by them. The brother can help if he wants to help it's his choice. U would hope he should look out for the sibling but he is not, so OP can try something else. I love hardworking ppl n I don't hesitate to support one. Am sure OP, will advise anyone in this same situation, not to rely or depend on folks. For me, I don't I learned. . armyofone: Not funny at all. I wished the environment is like what we have here. 20 credits hours/schedule and 20 hours part time job tutoring, washing toilet, cafeteria assistant, students office assistant etc I'm sure if she had said something like please brother I have 30 thousand from my small so and so konkiri business, and need your help to make up etc it would have yielded better response from him. Every human for himself/herself...that's what I learnt here. You will not reach your destination if you wait on anyone. |

I dont live in Mars, I am here on earth like u. There are no jobs back home. There are some other things that can be done, that's all I was saying. Niaja is torf and very torf. Op can teach in a small sch n save some money. We all overlook some small things. I taught in a small sch and sold home made groundnut, fufu to survive the hardship. It was torf. I have been there too. We need to learn not to depend on ppl. Maybe until it happens that ppl u depend on disappoint then we learn. I learned and I advise others I can not to. God will always show up. If he did for me, He will for the op. Op should jus let his bro be and jus look for somewhere else to channel his hard work to. InvertedHammer: / You are funny. Perhaps you live in Mars. Graduates cannot find jobs. Yet you expect an undergraduate to go out and snap a job with ease. Everyone needs help at some point in life. Stop acting or sounding as if you got life figured out because it hasn't thrown curve ball your way. \ |

Yes I do. I have been in this situation before and that's y I wrote, unless God shows mercy. The ppl I depended on and hoped will be of help turned me down. I learned the hard way. But thanks to God I am doing way better today because God showed mercy. Those same ppl now see me and thank God for me too. Cos if it was for them I would be no where! I am also a lady born and raised in Nigeria before I left. the same Merciful God showed me mercy and heard my cry. GoldenJAT: only God blesses d work of our hands... seems u don't understand what d young lady is saying! |

That's the problem. My dear, yeah ppl have diff destiny and all but I tell u from experience. even my parents could not send me to sch or pay for school fees. Am a lady too, born and raised back home. I had go teach in a primary sch where I was paid almost nothing!! But I knew it was for a short time, I jus stayed focus and prayed hard. God showed mercy, things fell in the right place. n I still advise my siblings to learn a habit of not being dependent. That custom back home jus don't help. I have 2 siblings in Universites I pay school fees for. N one more who is about to enter. Am not saying one can't help. But jus don't act like it's ur right to get... It should be a thing of choice... Askmewhy: Favour this is Africa it's our custom here to wait for our brother or sister to lend a helping hand. So don't blame the young girl for doing that and it's her right to get something from her people. |

Thats the problem with folks back home. Dependency life style is killing some folks!! you depend on you brother for something like say na your birth right. My guy, like u said you are not lazy, there are lots of things you can do to bring u some small change while you wait to go serve, teaching, sell food stuffs and all. I did it, hustled and learned depending on people won't get u nowhere unless God shows mercy. U need to wise up. |

For your fencing budget it depends on the height the fence. Below is the link in Nairaland on how to calculate the estimate. Also you can find loads of information in the Properties section. That section gave me a lot of insight when building our second home. U wont believe the information you can find here, very informative. Although some standards used or shared were awkward to me but different folks with different strokes. Wish you the best in your endeavors. https://www.nairaland.com/2095730/calculating-numbers-blocks-need-fence/8#46993658 AppleofGod: Good day friends, I want to know the rough estimate of fencing 6plots of land so I make my budget. I dont know where Iganke is nor heard of the place before. But if you find people living there, I guess it should be ok. I can ask someone around and give feedback once I get the info. 250 not bad cos when Agbowa if full ppl will move to the other side. Did u try Ota-Ikosi in Agbowa? It along beach road i believe. U ask around there too. AppleofGod: We recently bought lands at Agbowa Ikosi @ N500,000 but it was not enough for farming. Phones › Re: I Got My Samsung S5 3wks Ago, The Phone Is Far *BELOW*My Expectation by Favored4gud: 7:05pm On Jun 27, 2016 |
Op before you buy phone always list out features you want the phone to have, review the features online, likewise read more about the features. Then research for a phone that has most of the features you want. One phone will NOT have all you want, then you begin to shop for that phone. If you are going to use 2 phones the second phone should carry the features you had to forgo for the first one. Samsung phones are good and reliable depending on what you want. Do not buy a phone because everyone says its good but cos of what you like about the phone, also do not restrict your research to just nairaland try other sites like www.engadget.com www.cnet.com www.techradar.com www.gsmarena.com and Marques Brownlee - YouTube videos for phone reviews. With all these site and more you should get better view of any phone you decide to buy in future. I use a Samsung Note 4, love the phone for certain features, Samsung phones are known for average battery life. So i make sure to keep apps closed or deleted if not in use often. Hope this helps for your next phone purchase. forlahkhe: i dont know much abt phones but i did my research on nairaland b4 settling for samsung s5. i wanted camon 8 bt my last expwrience with techno made me change my mind; i was using techno A+ b4 which i got 2yrs ago. The phone was writing "memory full" and after abt 1week, it stopped working. i tried to put it on bt to no avail. it wont even charge sef so i gave it to an engnr @ computer village ikeja and till now he's yet ro fix it(since february). Nairalanders are always talking abt samsung here and there and now i've got the samsung, ME NO C ANYTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THE PHONE oo. it has fingerprint scanner.......And so ? na dt 1 we wan chop ni? |

It's a new estate built by fashola administration hence they call it fashola estate. Don't know if it has properly been named now |
