yope yope, To be hones I kinda want java to mere their mobile platform with android/google or RIM. Better having 2 good platforms than having 100 and only 1 is good, lol

Haha i can't make it. My host(for ma site) doesn't allow remote connectionS. That means i can't. Connect to my database frm my local computer using my java code, i have to go online to access dat database. So wata a work around?

Hey guys,  don't know how interested we would be in this but its a very good experience and something for your portfolio. I have put op a ist of 10 most common systems and I say we try one of them. Most of them are easier to develop on a single scale(individually) but that wouldn't suit the purpose here. A community project would help improve your skills(in terms of working in groups) and also you would learn a lot from other participants.

I have been involved in a lot of projects that up till date have not been completed. However, this would be different. In other to be a part of this project,you would have to apply for it. It doesn't matter if you are a newbie or an expert but all we want is determination and full attention. I don't know how many contributors we would end up having but am starting with an initial number which is 10.

If you are interested just reply this post with what you would like to participate as, with regards to the available positions.

Hey guys, just a little problem. How do you connect to a remote database that doesn't allow remote connections, lol Ok doesn't make much sense. You have a remote database that doesnt allow remote database connections, what are your alternatives given that you have to access that database?

The argument to you pass to forName(args) is basically the driver(as a string). So when you do

Class.forName(driver).newInstance();

It simply loads the database driver. Simple and short!

The swing package has improved, strings in switch statements, a few deprecated classes, JDBC4.1, improvement in concurrency, updated xml stack and some others. Just listed the few i know but Java 7 is not the main toolkit we should expect, its JDK7 with new collections, algorithms, packages and a lot of stuff, 7 is just a cover to close up d space between 6 and 8.
