@ Rhymden
Your comment that we were better even under Berti Vogts is the silliest comment I've read in a long while. You must have an acute case of intellect myopia. . . .arindi oshi.

@ Omololu
Hello. . . . .the scoreboard read Nigeria 5 : Zambia 4, so please tell me how I lost. As per calling me a pathetic loser, I'll say your whole family is a bunch of pathetic losers. . . . .and all of una go run down pretty soon. . . . . . .keep on hating so gbo. . .eti po to, elo po si wa. . . . . .bloody slowpoke!

@ Tatase
Normally, I don't debate serious 9ja football issues with ladies cos they know 'nada' about football. . . . . . .Yes, I said it. . . . . .call me a chauvinist, a sexist or whatever you like. . . . . . .but thats my opinion. . . . . .even those wey know small no sabi pass Man-u, Chelsea, Arsenal, Barca etc. However, I'll humour you with a reply cos you sound a lil' bit  intelligent. . . . . .I gotta run now. . . .expect my reply later in the day. . . . .Bye for now.

@Semid4lyfe!   I'm more than disappointed. Anyways, quit the parent/family dissing. It's against the rules. Geddit?

So its Ghana vs Nigeria.

Let us see what will happen. We may end up winning this cup. Don't say I did not tell you.

Keep the faith.

You guys are funny. Egypt won today by a ghost goal. Didn't you see them celebrate?

A win is a win. We have seen this happen times without numbers.

Get over it.

jalether:
Any NL fan that celebrates this victory should be ashamed of him/herself, beating Zambia on pen shoot out is nothing to write home abt

Keep quiet. A win is a win.

They will still sack Amodu. That I'm sure of.

I told ya all. Nigeria will scale through.

I said it. surprise surprise.

You will feel sorry for Zambia.

It's gonna be a pary tonight!

ENYEAMAAAAAAAAAAA

Advantage SE!!!

kai. . .So we have the first pen shoot out of CAF 2010.
How interesting.

nateevs:
I'd rather win in style.
We are Nigeria you know!
God bless the days of Yekini, Amokachi, Finidi, Amunike, SiaSia, Okocha, Oliseh, Nnwanu, Uche, Okafor, Iroha, Eguavoen and Rufai.

Same here but I still want to win provided we score fairly.
The result is what matters in most cases, innit?

We have created more chances with 10 men. How is that?

jalether:
Are you not tired of watching SE scramble for a win against mediocre teams

I am but the truth is I still cannot help but support them.

You guys will be surprised when we win. Like play like play!

2131: From the BBC's Farayi Mungazi at the Tundavala stadium: "The Nigerians finished the second half looking so pedestrian in their approach that I feel like I should give them some of my grilled chicken!"

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/8479275.stm

See yawa!

Norin do them boys. We will scale through. Trust them boys to show some courage.

Eastbay:
@nateevs,
Nice response to Akolawole's piece.Like the players selected themselves.
How many DMs are we going to field against Argentina?4?
FBS,
If they can't beat Zambia, they shoulnd't think of going to the world cup.FFS,we have the easiest tie of all World Cup finalists in this QF draw.

Eastbay, I was just trying to cool guys temper. This place may explode anytime from now.
Truth is I want us to win this cup but heck these can't be our best set of players or is it?

@Papilo,

This is a public forum and it is against the rules to attack members parents.
Kindly drop it. Keep the posts civil.

2111: From Lanre Sonubi from Nigeria via text: "Of all the goalkeepers in the competition, it seems Vincent Enyeama is proving his worth. Really wish the entire team could follow suit! "
Maybe he should go up front for the last 10 minutes?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/8479275.stm

Easy guys. This match no easy.
Remember that CIV, Cameroon are both out.
Anything can happen.

Katsumoto:
Ever since Obasi scored against Egpyt, he has done f0'ck all.
Osazee seems to be living on past glory.
I am sorry but Mikel is not our creative player. Time to introduce Lukman/Ibrahim.

If you mention lukman here na fight o!

End of normal regulation time.

What a moment for Zambia.

HNIC:
If not that I am a Nigerian, i would rather be watching Barnet taking on Yeovil town
It will make for better viewing!

True that but you know football is a cruel sport.

But honestly, are these the best players we have?

Desperate moments. . .

2033:   CFC-Man on 606:   "Mikel to score a late stunner."
Of all the scenarios I can think of, I reckon that is as likely as Hull winning the Premier League this season, with respect of course!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/8479275.stm

I dey gbadun you guys. Top notch Analysts full grown wella.

How did Amodu come up with these set of players? just asking.

blacksta:
Zambia  - have much of the possession  now -  in 36 mins of play  YAK has only touch ball about 3 times

Thanks for this information. I'm keeping his stats.

Nna mehnnnn Zambia is ready for this. We are seeing some little little sparks.

IF Zambia score before we do. . .that will be the end but I hope not.

Why did they stop after Mikel's effort?

Can anyone tell me how many times Yak has touched the ball? Just asking.

And someone should pls tell Mikel to stop passing sideways for bleeping sake.

honeric01:
You sabi ball so? Egypt scored all the 4 goals in this match, so how did Cameroon play better if they couldn't even score one goal? remember that it's only goals that matters in the world of football.

Mistakes was also what made us lose 3 : 1 to Egypt so what are you talking about?

Look at this guy. I want you to explain your statement " We didn't lose like this".  We lost by the same margin. How else were we supposed to lose?
How about the "goal that never was.
Here:
1836: As for Cameroon, well, they were on balance the slightly better team but two, maybe three, clangers have ended their hopes of exacting revenge against the Pharaohs. The Indomitable Lions will have to lick their wounds and get ready for the World Cup in June. Work to do though.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/8479275.stm

The stage is set for Nigeria to go all the way to the Final.
