Fufu King: I don't believe that you're a Christian. If you were a Christian and you had read the New Testament you wouldn't be asking such a question. Those old rituals are unnecessary once you accept Jesus Christ. Christ has fulfilled and replaced all the old covenants.
Do you still sacrifice animals to God as they did in the Old Testament? Get serious. Complete lack of knowlegde. . . Are you saying that the old testament should not be read? Are you also saying that you are a Christian if you are selective in your believes? Get serious. Are you not aware that Jesus was circumcised? Read Luke 2:21. So if our Christ went through this, who are you to say such powerful action is NOT necessary? Circumcision is a convenant between God and man. |

nateevs: @FBS
Eto'o is old . . . Apart from that I am worried about he number of players that are going to depart form the ACN 2010 in January.
Drogba Essien Mikel
All crucial players . . . If we go ahead and get Eto'o, then we lose him for a month as well. . . It's one of the reason I thought we should let Drogba go. . . . He will get a ban from UEFA and won't play for some matches in the Champions and gone a large part of the season for ACN. . Truly next season is out of the running for Drogba. .
For over a month, we will not have a natural DM in the side. We should look at other options. . . or we will suffer next year. nateevs, I was only looking to rack Ibime up but then I won't hide my admiration for the player. He is a fantastic player and that you cannot deny. besides, I also remember that as at last season most chelsea folks were wishing he became a Chelsean. true or false? As for the ACN, well, lets see what CA does. I'm certain he is aware of that. |

They are both young lads and Geovinco is a terrorist. PS: Mancity making bids for Eto'o and Tevez. |

dyabman: If Ibra is selfish ,wat bout Robben , still his (Robben) assist is magnificent back then in chelsea, , So if Ibra is in chelsea he doesnt need to run 8000m before he gets the goal,
THe BEST IN THE WORLD NOW, ZLATAN IBRAMOVICH Robben maybe selfish but 4 sho, not in the class of Zlatan. I mean the guy literally gets angry if you no pass the ball to him. He almost had a bust-up with Balloteli recently over something like that. He is a fantastic player, but abeg ego too plenty. |

Ibime: Nah, what I am saying is why would Eto (the same age in 2008 as Villa is now) who is probably the best striker in the world struggle to find a buyer?. . . . . answers on a postcard please. . . . look, Barca are no mugus, they are still actively looking to sell him despite all he did this last season. . . . abeg, we don't need another Sheva or Pizarro collecting money with no hope of selling them on. . . . Eto'o is different from Sheva and Pissaro and I clearly remember that as at last season some Chelsea folks were singing Eto'o to chelsea song only for Pep to retain him in the squad. And what a wise decision that proved to be. Maybe they understood something you don't. Age is not the main factor mate. Maybe you dont understand my point, I love to see young players in Chelsea but even more from our own very academy to ensure continuity, make profits and balance the books. But sometimes the 3 doesn't always come at once. dyabman: Did i see Eto from FBS post, naaaaaaa , Eto is no good , he wont adapt to the pace in the league, Edin outscored pizarro in the bundesliga.
Berluscolli Pls let Pato come , Oh damn right you saw it. It's not like I want him at Chelsea now but since Ibime decided to take me on, I decided to have some fun. Of course he is not coming to chelsea but will you confess you wanted him last season? And did you say he aint got pace? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 10:56am On Jun 04, 2009 |
Ibime: This is the difference between me and you and why we disagree on JM issues. . . . . in reality, Eto' is 31. . . . . you buy him, give him 4 year contract and he is kaput in 2 years. . . . the other 2 years, he is just collecting like Winston Bogarde. . . . . thats poor fiscal management. . . . now tell me why a 27-year-old hotshot (in 2008) is on the transfer market and no big club comes in for him except Tottenham. . . . obviously, word gets around. . . . when Drogba was 30 years old, everybody wanted him despite his age cos they know his age is real. . . . . why would the greatest striker of the present moment, (27 years old just like David Villa is now) struggle to find a buyer?. . . . listen mate, fiscal management is key to good management. . . . . Nateevs and I are not like those who close their eyes and pay no attention to the fiscal side of things as long as you deliver trophies. . . . We will continue the JM debate at another time but I'm glad for the highlighted part. What if you don't? And why give him 4 years? that is no brainy move in fiscal shait management and mind you we don't have to pay a big sum for him when we can have him free next year if and when we decide to. No you didnt say that. . .Villa struggling to get a buyer or maybe I didnt get you correctly? The key to any formidable team and success (trophies) is experience and good management (age is not the prime factor). I'm not certain CA also believes in nuturing kids until you prove otherwise. That it works for AW and Arse-anal does not mean it will work for Chelsea. The mentality and approach is way different. Geddit? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 10:37am On Jun 04, 2009 |
@Ibime, they wanted to sell him last year and damn lucky they never did. . .I can't imagine Barca winning the treble without him. He is a team player, yep maybe not getting younger but his work ethic is colossally intimidating. (kai I don begin to blow grammar like one naija senator . , y'all need to see the video). For me age should not be a factor as long as you can produce the goods. Call me names but that is my position. I don't want some young players come and start making big heads simply because age is on his side. Give me a proven winner and complete player. I will be happy. Exception should only be made for players from our own very Academy. PS: any you think Zlatan is the better option? That's the exchange + cash they want to make. |

biina: how many strikers u wan get? abi una wan sell durogbola?
Barca would be stupid to sell eto for zlatan. There is nothing that points to him performing any better than eto has done for Barca. don't mind me . At this moment we are yet to buy or sign a single player aside DS who actually came for free. Every other stuf is mere speculation. Eto'o performed massively for Barca season in season out. Why would they want a selfish striker like Zlatan? Good strikers are always in demand sha. |

Laporta expecting offers to come in for Eto'o
Barcelona president Joan Laporta wants to keep Samuel Eto'o at the Nou Camp but expects to receive some tempting offers for the Cameroon striker this summer.
Eto'o has only a year remaining on his contract and if Barca do not cash in this summer or renew his contract they face the possibility of losing him for nothing next June.
Speculation is mounting that the treble-winners will use him as part of a cash plus player deal to snap up Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while the 28-year-old has also been linked with a move to Manchester City. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=652413&sec=europe&cc=5739 could be wrong but IMHO Barca are ingrates to Eto'o. Come to Chelsea o jare. |

Anyone listening to Dayok is only wasting his/her time. I can school you on Anatoly Timo. He lives in my backyard. He is way past his prime (and lately for some reasons, he has turned into a goal keeper, handling the ball anyhow right in the box ). BM can already boast of leadership quality which is mostly what he brings to Zenit or do you think he will be your captain? He is a good addition to the squad but for that amount, abeggi! You feel that amount is justified only because he is going to BM and not to any EPL team. Else you would have raised fire here. Wait, did you just compare him to Zidane? That's an insult. Mario Gomez- one of the best strikers in europe? and you have the nerve to compare him to DD? Dayok, STOP WATCHING THE BUNDESLIGA!!!. That guy misses sitters that even my GrandMother will not with her back to the goal. PS: I'm ready to take my words back if for some reasons he springs back to life and wins the BundesLiga. |
