1809: Lovely work from Didier Drogba, juggling the ball on his knee before laying it into Nicolas Anelka's path - but the Frenchman's shot comes off the far post. If he is watching, Luiz Felipe Scolari may well be wondering who this Drogba character is.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 7:05pm On Feb 14, 2009
1803: Didier Drogba looks like a new man today, making a proper nuisance of himself up front. Roman Abramovich is enjoying it too. As Drogba's shot is saved, the Chelsea owner slaps his thigh and then cracks a rare smile.

I really wish we would start the likes of Di Santos in matches like these.
Games like this should be used in preparing our rookies.

LFS should go to Man City. Moreso Mark H is not performing.
Robinho is there and the owners have enough money to buy the players he wants.
He was a very bad choice for chelsea. Why some people fail to see this is beyond my understanding.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Who Is Better: John O'shea Or John Obi Mikel? by FBS: 6:36pm On Feb 14, 2009
staloone:
come FBS, who told you that Mikel is more a million miles better? Don't bring in weekly wage sense into this.

Am a Nigerian ok? but the truth cannot be thrown to the dust, o'shea is more of a wide and good playmaker than Mikel, it's just that Essien and Makelele are not there to challenge him, that's why Mikel is tring to shine but he's not.

O'Shea is more better than him, O'Shea plays from Deffence to the Midfield and Give the passes accurately than Mikel.

Well may be you've not taken tyme to watch and analyze the two players.

To me O'Shea is more better and Versatile than mikel, mikel is tied to one place for foul plays but O'shea plays technically. ok huh

TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT THAT WAY! sad
@standaloone, what has being a Nigerian got to do with this? is that what we are talking about?
To you O'shea is better, to me, Mikel is. . .and I can give you a million reasons.
You wanna know why Mikel was converted to a holding MF? 'cos of his ability to hold on to the ball and if you watch his performances this season, he has made some very last minute saves/tackles for chelsea.
For me, I would love to see him in a more advanced role and for him to take more risks.
At the moment he is just playing according to instructions.
Ain't that simple enough for you to understand? tongue

Sports › Re: Nigeria For FIFA World Cup: Will The Eagles Qualify? by FBS: 6:16pm On Feb 14, 2009
seconded. , TT is the best left back we have at the moment and just like any other player on the pitch messes up sometimes. Notwithstanding, Nigeria and the NFF should do all they can to get us to the WC 2010.
If that includes sacking everyone "sackable" and getting better and qualified folks, so be it.

dayokanu:
we dont have t play Italy or Germany to know where we stand. NOWHERE.

na our mates be dat Jamaica. A country that did not qualify for World cup, disgraced at nations cup wants to know where they stand?
I may only agree with you 'cos I know we dont have a team but seriously speaking, who is to be blamed for that?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 6:09pm On Feb 14, 2009
It's high time and I saw it coming. Michael Mancienne given his debut as right back. Now I'm sure not if he his that good as a RB. He has my support anyway.

The good news is, we are having a three-prong attack. DD, NA and Kalou. Bring the fire on.
