For those that have used Austransaction, please how does it work ?
I am trying to use it for a friend and a name and account number was sent to my email as below;

Please pay #***** into the account below and provide us with receipt. This request is only valid for 24hrs after which a new request will be needed and the new rate (if any) will apply.

Bank: UBA
Account Name: ****** ******

Does it mean I have to pay the naira equivalent to that account first ?

Accountants in the house, please advise on which Assessing Authorities is best for me CPAA or CAANZ, I have a degree in Accounting though not chartered yet but have relevant Accounting experience for 7 years. My ANZSCO job title is Accountant (General) Your advise will be appreciated. Please help
From my experience, ICAA is lenient as I assessed with them and they even emailed me asking if I had any experience prior to my first work experience. In addition, my hubby used them few weeks ago for just his qualification assessment and it was assessed positively in just few days.

The qualifications we used are: ACCA and OBU (Bsc).

Other accountants that assessed with CPA or IPA can advise accordingly.

toslad, praiseisgood and other accountants in the house which way to go ?

Although, I have submitted different EOI 's (General Accountants) for 189 and 190 NSW, is there any thing I can do to ensure I get invited any which way. Or should I also assess as a finance manager?

My concern is my age as my points will drop by November.

Is it possible to assess different occupation with the same assessing body?

I actually got a positive assessment from ICAA for general accountant and I will like to assess as a finance manager because of the long queue for accountants.

Although I am aware IPA and CPA also assesses but I found ICAA lenient after my experience wt vetassess.

For those that have assessed wt CPA or IPA how was your experience with them ?

cc: bellong, mamajaz and others please any advice will be appreciated. I currently have 75 points.
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by FCCA2012: 8:28am On Apr 06, 2018
Please, I need suggestions /answers to the ffg questions:

1. Is it possible to assess as a financial manager, although I already got a +ve assessment with ICAA for general accountant ?

2. If yes, can I still assess wt ICAA as a financial mgr or I should use IPA or CPA ?

My points breakdown are;
Pte 20
Bsc/ACCA 15
Age 30
Exp 5
Partner points 5
Total 75points

My fear is I will be losing 5 points by November AND my student visa expires by July.

Any advice will be appreciated as I am confused.
Bellong and others please advice a sister. Thanks

Experience is irrelevant when claiming partner points. However, some assessing bodies do require a certain number of years of experience for a positive skills assessment. I do not know what ICAA requires.
Thanks for your reply, he will be assessing with ICAA and they do not need experience to assess qualifications.

Please, others in the house is experience needed to claim partner points ?

I think both qualification and experience should form the basis of being assessed positively but what is the issue with his experience?
Thanks for your reply, his relevant experience in accounting was in Nigeria more than 5 years ago, and since we are already in Australia I think it will be difficult/time consuming to get the necessary documents from the company as we will be loosing 5 points for age in November.
My thoughts are if ICAA can assess only his qualification so that I can claim the partners point.

@bellong and others please your suggestions are needed.

It is dependent on the assessing body. To claim partner's point, the partner must have a positive skills assessment.
@bellong thanks
I assessed with ICAA as a general accountant and he is also an ACCA affiliate and we will want to use ICAA for his assessment. Though, I am aware that ICAA also assesses only qualification BUT my doubt is if he MUST assess his working experience before I can claim partners point ?

bellong:
@FCCA2012,

Skills assessment is for both qualification and experience. He has to assess the two in the same occupation list as yours.

2. You can still put EOI for both 189 and 190.
Thanks
Please, does it mean he MUST have work experience in order for me to be able to claim partner point ?

Hi everyone.
Age 30points
Qualifications 15points
Experience 5 points
Pte 20 points
Total of 70points
I want to submit an Eoi for general accountant, my husband is a chartered accountant and I will like to claim partner points to increase my points. My question is if he MUST assess his work experience while assessing his qualifications ? In order for me to be able to claim partner point.
In addition, with the current trend in invitations for accountants should I wait for 189 with 75 points or I should submit for both 189 and regional ?
)
@bellong @mamajaz and other gurus in the house, please help a sister out.
Thanks!

cc belong, mamajaz and other gurus in the house please I need clarification on the points for age in skills assessment.

I will be 32years this November, does it mean I will automatically loose 5 points on my birthday this month OR the point will drop once I turn 33years next year ?
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by FCCA2012: 12:45pm On Aug 16, 2017
praiseisgood and others thanks!

I will be submitting all my qualifications for full skills assessment. I intend applying for 'General Accountant(GA)' what do you advice ?

My employer is willing to give me an employment letter from any accounting related role -should I stick to GA or mgt acctg or others ?

In addition, my employer has advised me to draft the letter for him to sign- my question is how do I write a detailed Job description? PLEASE, can you provide me a sample OR advise me on what to include or exclude ?

Lastly, what's the duration it took either ICAA or CPA for Full skills assessments?

Thank you praiseisgood.

FCCA2012, I did my assessment with ICAA.

CPA is a little cheaper than ICAA but both are fair with their assessments.

ICAA too does only one assessment at a time (I discovered that during my reassessment as External Auditor) you have to check their sites and since you schooled abroad coupled with your ACCA you have nothing to fear really.
Praiseisgood and toslad-thanks, my employment was from August 2011 to July 2016. My employer is willing to provide a letter of employment and any other document that I worked as an accountant.
Adv diploma August 2011,
ACCA 2012
Bachelor's was in 2013.
In addition, does ICAA and CPA conduct phone interview with applicants and employers ?

Good morning FCCA2012,

What is your first degree?

Please go with either ICAA or CPA but align your Jd with the requirement of Accountants.

Go through their sites to check out their requirements. I believe you are good to go with what you have already.
My first degree is Accounting from Oxford Brookes, Uk. Please anyone that has applied for assessment with these accounting bodies should guide me on whether CPA or ICAA.

Hi everyone, which accounting body in Australia is lenient in accounting skills assessment ? My qualifications are below;
ACCA (UK)
MBA (Federation uni, Australia).
Bachelor's degree (OBU, UK )
Advanced diploma in accounting (UK).
I was recently given a negative assessment by
Vetassess and the reason was that my employment was not so much related to Internal audit.
Hence, I want to try any of the accounting bodies.
I have written PTE and achieved an average 72 in all. Please advice is needed urgently as I will like to apply soon.

@udz I was supposed to travel wt my hubby but unfortunately I am alone wt my 2 kids(3 years and 9 months).
they require me to submit a proposal of about 4000 words and a year 1 thesis of about 15000 words. I was not aware of this while in Nigeria.
Wt the two kids, it is not going to be easy for me.
