Enoch Adeboye is another embarrassment. we need international assistance in addressing this. Education really is the only cure to supernatural superstition. We need some Nigerian celebrity support too |

FOLYKAZE: Ok, let me save you the flight. Help me understand this? If Juju had so much power. Why aren't the fetish priests billionaire Wallstreet tycoons. If Juju had any truth to it the white oppressors would be the oppressed. No one would need weapons. Governments would just align themselves with powerful fetish priests & wage supernatural wars on one another. You attributes coincidence to supernatural occurrences & believed in imagination is very convincing, it's called hypnosis. Nigeria is suffering tremendously because of this while other developing countries like Singapore have eradicated malaria, became an economic power house all based on human ingenuity, a largely atheist society putting their priorities on progress, modernity & government accountability. These are the priorities Nigerians need to concern themselves with. Lack of Government transparency is a greater threat but as long as there is this distraction, corruption will continue. |

As a jazz musician & atheist I admit that much of the knowledge I acquired regarding improvisation can be traced to African traditional beliefs of posession & music. I think yoruba belief should be celebrated & studied as a rich heritage. However, supernatural belief is still a deal breaker for us. I encourage you to investigate every supernatural claim & if you can truly verify that the miracle occured, the james randi foundation is offering 1 million dollars to anyone who can substantiate a supernatural claim. So don't post it here, go there & then cash in on your supernatural claim. http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html 1 Like |

Many people took offense with the NY Times for giving this woman a platform to defend the indefensible by comparing it to giving Kony an editorial piece. If Nigerian courts grant her any judicial victories the rest of the world will take note and direct their time, money & talent elsewhere. Nobody wants to enable a wayward backwards society that promotes & defends belief in witchcraft as freedom of religion. If that's the case then Kony should hire the same lawyers and file a similar appeal to justify the lords resistance army & appeal that he is also a victim of religious discrimination from the west. This is really an important opportunity for Nigeria to tell the international community that we condemn destructive superstion |

http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/return-to-africas-witch-children/ This documentary has a politician that was willing to speak out against her. Also stepping stones Nigeria was able to get a Nigerian soccer player to visit children accused of witchcraft. The western world is looking at this level of ignorance & having second thoughts about investing in development & infrastructure because the leaders can't be trusted to make reasonable decisions about something as foolish & childish as witchcraft, how is Bill Gates going to feel giving millions of dollars to these politicians to cure Malaria. The answer is no reasonable person would entrust their money with a politicians & leaders that believe in witchcraft. This is truly an embarrassing scourge that we need stand up, & hold our politician's accountable to eliminating http://www.crarn.net http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/nigeria_50153.html http://www.steppingstonesnigeria.org |

This is a human rights violation. False accusations of witchcraft are soon going to bring international condemnation and sanctions on Nigeria if the government doesn't begin to hold these superstitious criminals accountable for libel, slander & defamation of character. If I was a lawyer in Nigeria, I would team up with an international NGO like UNICEF or Amnesty International. Stepping Stones Nigeria is already taking up the cause of protecting victims of these terrible accusations. Nigerians need to unite & demand their elected officials condemn this foolish belief as not only a national embarrassment, but an illegal form of defamation of character. People who promote witchcraft accusations should be subject to lawsuits & criminal charges. |

I'm the US petitioner who works 2 full time jobs & used up almost all of my paid time off on my last visit to my fiancé. It will be very difficult for me to schedule time off to attend my fiancé's interview. How much emphasis does a Visa Officer put on the petitioner being present for the beneficiary's interview? Does Nigeria do stokes interview for K1 visas? Even if you do just interview the beneficiary, do you prefer to see that the beneficiary has the petitioner's passport in hand at the time of the interview? You continued presence & assistance in this forum is truly a blessing to us all. Thank VO! |

We need to crowd fund our favorite Visa Officer with a vacation of his choice I'm not referring to a specific situation. I was trying to understand this article I read online concerning that type of verdict because I was told denials are common in high fraud embassies. Thank you for your thorough response http://www.ilw.com/articles/2006,0323-ellis.shtm (you will need to copy n paste link) |

Regarding my original post about receiving a (212)(a)(6)(c)(i) for a k1 visa denial. Is this the blanket determination one receives when their K1 is denied? Which would make you ineligible to reapply for any visa or rebuttal because wouldn't this eventually require a waiver even if you were approved upon filing a second time? My question is regarding honest petitioners with a sincere relationship who in no way misrepresented any information in their petition but still get denied? There's lots of rumors about quotas? My question is do you believe its possible to receive this decision unjustifiably when filling in high fraud consulates like Nigeria? Besides calling a lawyer or senator, how could someone who inaccurately received this verdict become exonerated? We all are very appreciative of your time & consideration regarding all our concerns. Thanks VO! |

What is 212(a)(6)(c)(i)? I read because a K1 has a 4 month expiration date, once the petition leaves the embassy & returns to DHS it is often a death sentence for a petitioner & can even bar them from filing a CR1? This seems like an incredibly harsh verdict to give to a couple based on a "gut" feeling from a VO. Doesn't the VO have a heavy burden of proof to grant this verdict & why can't the details of a NOID be revealed to the petitioner? I thought the VO could only send back a petition if the VO discovers evidence unknown and unavailable to DHS at the time it approved the petition? How do we rebutt this verdict before it gets buried in the never ending bureaucrstic abyss of the USCIS? Thanks VO! |

In the declaration of how you met letter. Do we need to include the initial website were we met or could we just state we met online. Should this letter be very limited & specific to dates & events or elaborate in detail about the nature of our relationship. How do you want a petitioner to file if they met on an international dating site with fees based on gender? And if yes to IMBRA what do you do if the website didn't comply with IMBRA procedures? I'm a first time petitioner with a clean background check by the way. What would you advise in this situation? Thanks VO! |

Regarding IMBRA & K1? If the petitioner is clear of any crimes or violations & has never filed for any prior K1's, will they be fighting an uphill battle out of the context of were they met and the assumption of a rush to enter into matrimony? Also if you just used an IMBRA site to meet your fiancee & started chatting elsewhere shortly afterwards, do you still need that website to conduct their own IMBRA search even though it's a year late? What does a petitioner do when the find out late that they need to comply with IMBRA protocol? I'm also assuming I will need to submit a detailed answer to question 34a considering I'm checking yes to question 35. |

Hi VO, thank you for your correspondence, it has been very informative. I'm about to Frontload a K-1 visa petition because it has be advised that high fraud consulates require additional proof of a bonafide relationship with the initial I-129f (i.e. chat logs, emails, call logs, detailed & thorough declaration of how we met for #34a, letters, and maybe even notarized letters from both our parents verifying our relationship is real) besides the mandatory proof of meeting within 2 years. There is a never ending conversation about to frontload or not to frontload, and if you do frontload, what is the appropriate amount of documents you would like to see from the petitioner? |
