The first leg had ended 1-1 at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat with the Moroccans needing an away win to emerge as champions.
Fueled by a deafening noise inside Stade Olympique de Rades, Esperance took the lead in the 41st minute through Mohamed Belaili.
The game came to an abrupt end after the Moroccans walked off the pitch following referee Bakary Gassama's refusal to review Walid El Karti's disallowed strike for Wydad in the 58th minute.
With Wydad Casablanca failing to continue the game after more than two hours despite the intervention of Caf president Ahmad Ahmad, the Tunisians were crowned as champions.

GLeesMODEL: The presidential candidate of the Sustainable National Party (SNP), Ahmed Buhari, has finally withdrawn from the Feb. 16 presidential election and declared support for President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari made his decision known in an interview with SUNRISE daily, a breakfast show on Channels Television and on his Instagram page.
The decision may have come as a shock to his followers as he said his stepping down from the race was to drum support for All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari.
Acording to Ahmed Buhari, he is stepping down from the race because he believes that president Buhari is the right man for the job.
He noted that the Buhari government has also made some gains in the last four years it came on board in the country.
The former SNP presidential candidate accused Nigerian youths of not backing young persons for the presidency.
He regretted his lack of resources to compete with the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It would be recalled that Ahmed Buhari was once a member of the main opposition PDP but left for the SNP to fulfill his dream of becoming the country’s leader.
Meanwhile, Kingsley Nwagu, the Vice Presidential candidate of the SNP has distanced himself from the decision of his presidential candidate to support President Buhari.
Nwagu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview that Ahmed Buhari was alone in his decision and that the party had replaced his with Jaiye Gasikiya who was the runner-up during the presidential primary election.
“We are still in the race; Ahmed Buhari acted on his own without the party’s consent, so, as it is, the party has not adopted any candidate neither will it adopt.
“But if it will, it is left for the party to decide; we have already written to INEC and we are elevating Jaiye Gaskiya who contested primary election with Ahmed Buhari.
“INEC is yet to respond to our letter notifying them of the development in the party, and we expect a positive response from them.
“As it is, the ballot papers carry only the parties’ logo and as such we are calling on all our members nationwide to still thumbprint on our party logo,” Nwagu said.
Feb. 16 presidential race would see President Buhari of the APC, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and over 50 other aspirants slugging it out for the country’s number one seat.

Officialpdpnig: Abubakar Shettima, a resident of Duala in Dogon Dutse, Jos North local government area of Plateau state has relocated to his polling unit at Dogon Agogo where he is already queuing up ahead of Saturday’s Presidential election.
Shettima, aged 59, said he wants to be the first person to cast his vote for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, as a payback for his freedom after he was falsely accused of being a member of Boko Haram in 2015.
Having left his home on Wednesday morning, Shettima said he has already spent a night at his polling unit and would spend the next 48hours at the same spot to exercise his franchise.
Abubakar Shettima’s name is number 119 on the voters register. “I have already sent my wife to Borno state, this morning (Thursday) to exercise her franchise while I have three children who are of age to vote.
“Two of them are in Jos and would vote for Buhari on Saturday while the other is married in Maiduguri so it would be up to her husband,” he said.
Sitting on his praying mat spread across the elevated platform of a resident where the names and pictures of eligible voters have been pasted, Shettima holds tight his holy Qur’an while his PVC is tucked in his pocket.
The indigene of Borno state recalled how himself and hundreds of others were unjustly arrested as suspected Boko Haram members in 2015 and made to go through very harsh conditions before they were later profiled and released after investigations revealed they were innocent.
“I was at the Bauchi motor park in Jos when they arrested me and other people, they moved us to Bauchi, then Yobe and Borno states where we were crammed in cells and ignored for months.
“But when President Buhari came to power, he visited the cells and seeing our conditions, instructed that we should be separated into 200 persons per cell and investigation into our arrest be carried out.”
He said the investigations revealed their innocence adding that they were later released with an apology.
“Before we were asked to go, the Governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima invited us and apologized on behalf of the government. We were each given N10, 000 and a brocade to return home.
The Jos resident, Abubakar Shettima, at his polling unit in Plateau state. The Jos resident, Abubakar Shettima, at his polling unit in Plateau state. “They told us that it was routine to make such arrests but that after investigations, those found to be innocent would eventually be released.”
“So this is payback,” he said. “If not for President Buhari, we would probably not have been released. I am committed to him; I have prayed about it and by Allah’s grace he would continue as the president of this country because the masses are solidly behind him. We know that his policies are targeted at ensuring a better life for us,” he said

fergie001: The Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s Thursday night broadcast as a farewell speech.
Reacting to President Buhari’s characterization of the opposition in a nationwide broadcast, Atiku Abubakar described the president as a failed steward who has consistently distorted and twisted facts and events.
Atiku, in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Publication, Mr. Phrank Shaibu said, “We see President Muhammadu Buhari’s attack on the opposition in his nationwide broadcast, Thursday night, as part of the many gaffes which have come to define last days of the Buhari Presidency, rather than an address to be taken seriously by Nigerians.”
Atiku said President Buhari ought to have shown deep introspection in his public comments “because he is not just presiding over any country, but one with the largest black nation on earth, which bestows a lot of responsibility on him.”
According to Atiku, “If the President is not telling Nigerians that he was sworn in as president in 2005, he is mistaking Ondo Central Senatorial District for Edo Central Senatorial District or surrendering his ticket to Mr. Great Ogboru whom he mistakenly referred to as the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while on campaign tour of the state.
“These gaffes and the latest negative comments against opposition elements in his nationwide broadcast are not the attributes of a leader who should be re-elected for another term of office,” Shaibu quoted Atiku as saying.
Atiku also said that, “Even when he is voted out of office come Saturday, February 16, 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari must learn to rise above certain issues and do things that will enhance the respect the citizenry have for the office of the President, rather than rushing to exhibit soap-box mentality when the occasion does not call for it.”
”As for which party will better serve the people, we leave that judgment to Nigerians who will decide on 16th February, instead of a highly-partisan and easily excitable President Buhari,” Atiku said.
While dismissing President Buhari’s nationwide broadcast as a farewell speech, the former Vice President said “the Nigerian public is already giving its reaction on General Buhari’s less than Presidential address to the nation this evening.”
“A review of comments on Buhari’s Facebook Page to the broadcast shows that he should call in the removals-van as people can’t wait for him to leave Aso Rock. When you compare these to the comments on HE Atiku’s page to his Facebook Live broadcast this morning, the contrast could not be greater. The final verdict is in the hands and fingers of the millions of voters this Saturday.
“As our candidate HE Atiku said in his final message of the campaign ‘Even if you are not voting for me, still come out to vote on Saturday. It is about Nigeria, not Atiku Abubakar. It is about you and your future.’”
“So, we appeal to every eligible voter to express their will and contribute to our democracy,” the statement concluded.

AlexReports: There are certain records you wouldn’t like to be associated with. This is probably one of them.
A newly-wed couple in Kuwait recently made history for having the shortest marriage in the country’s existence. They decided to go call it quits only three minutes after getting married.
The media in Kuwaiti, last month, reported the bizarre case of a couple who ended their marriage before even leaving the courthouse they got married in. The two had just signed their marriage contract in front of a judge and were walking out of the courthouse when the bride accidentally tripped. Instead of helping her up, the groom reportedly insulted his wife by calling her “stupid” for slipping. That was apparently too much for the woman to bear, so she turned around and asked the judge to dissolve their marriage on the spot. They had been married for only three minutes.
According to Q8 News, this was the fastest divorce in the history of Kuwait, and probably of the whole world.
The news of this record-breaking divorce went viral on Twitter last week, with most commenters joking and ridiculing the couple for wasting the judge’s time. Some, however, took the bride’s side, saying that she made the right call. If the groom insulted her so early into their marriage, who knows what he would have done later on, one person wrote.
“If this is how he acts right at the beginning, it’s better to leave him,” one Twitter user commented.
“A marriage with no respect, is a failed one right from the beginning,” another one added.
Some suspected that the bride was simply looking for an excuse for the quick divorce, which isn’t that far-fetched considering Kuwait’s problem with “interest-driven marriages”.
According to an article in the Arab Times, the loans and financial assistance provided by the state to newly-married couples has caused the divorce rate in the Middle-Eastern country to skyrocket in recent years.
Many young people tie the knot only to benefit from the state’s incentives, and then quickly file for divorce. It’s obviously not the only reported cause for divorce in Kuwait, but it’s definitely one of the most worrying ones.

quote author=fergie001 post=75738033]The ruling All Progressives Congress APC has accused the Peoples Democratic Party PDP of fresh plans to rig Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Elections by heavily inducing electoral and security officers as well as election observers.
The allegation was contained in a statement issued late-Thursday in Abuja and signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.
The statement reads; “Following the leaked confidential report by the foreign elections strategists/consultants contracted by the Peoples Democratic Party PDP which stated that the PDP’s presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar will lose the forthcoming elections; we have received credible intelligence on some of PDP’s ominous plans ahead of the elections.
“The apparently orchestrated arson attacks on some facilities of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC; syndicated fake news and planted false reports on the elections are part of the PDP’s strategies ahead of the Elections.
“The confidential report by the foreign elections strategists/consultants has recommended that the PDP take ‘urgent steps to rectify the situation’.
“At the PDP’s strategy meeting held a few hours ago, the opposition party resolved to monetarily induce major actors and institutions in the electoral process with a view to compromising them ahead of the elections.
“In this regard, the main opposition party has perfected plans to share money to persons and actors considered critical to the success of the elections.
“The PDP has also perfected plans to distribute between 5 and 10 million dollars to the States for ‘logistics and mobilization’ on election day. “PDP’s targets in the well-oiled machinery are INEC officials, security agencies and observers. This is expected to make such persons agreeable to their rigging plots and other evil machinations
“The PDP is also using faceless bloggers to attack frontline security agencies in the social media as part of their plan to discredit the agencies.
“We must all be on high alert and resist this real and imminent threat posed by the PDP’s uncovered plans during the Elections”, the APC added.

Asshurbanipali: Elections: Buhari dissociates Nigerian govt from El-Rufai’s statement on foreign intervention
President Muhammadu Buhari has disassociated the federal government from the comment made by the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai that Nigerian forces will kill foreign soldiers who intervene militarily in the country’s election matters.
Mr Buhari, in a live broadcast to the nation on Thursday evening, assured members of the diplomatic community and foreign election observers of their safety and protection.
“I want to assure all Nigerians, the diplomatic community and all foreign election observers of their safety and full protection.
“Any comments or threats of intimidation from any source do not represent the position of the Federal Government of Nigeria,” the president said.
Although the president did not mention Mr El-Rufai by name, the Kaduna governor’s statement had been criticised by many Nigerians and the opposition.
“Those that are calling for anyone to come and intervene in Nigeria, we are waiting for the person that would come and intervene, they would go back in body bags,” Mr El-Rufai had said.
The governor’s explanation that his call was not in any way a call for violence did not deter critics from condemning it. European Union observers reacted to the statement by saying they were in the country to observe the elections at the request of the electoral commission, INEC. The presidency had also earlier defended the Kaduna governor, saying it was satisfied with his explanation.
The February 16 presidential election is expected to be hotly contested, and there are fears of violence and election fraud, with the opposition repeatedly accusing the ruling party of plotting to rig the polls.
On Wednesday, the national chairman of the ruling party, Adams Oshiomhole, also accused the INEC of working for the main opposition party, PDP.
Mr Buhari has repeatedly committed to a free and fair poll and the presidency has warned against any attempt by other nations to meddle in the country’s internal affairs.
In his Thursday broadcast to the nation, the president once again assured Nigerians that the government would ensure the elections “take place in a secured and peaceful atmosphere”.
“It was indeed such free, fair and peaceful elections that made it possible for our government to emerge, despite the fact that we were contesting against a long-standing incumbent party.
“ And as your president and a fellow Nigerian, I ask that you come out and queue to fulfil this important obligation you have to yourselves and your fellow citizens – and to our common future,” Mr Buhari said.
The president appealed to Nigerians, especially the youth, not to take to violence during the elections.
“I urge you all as good Nigerians to take up personal interest in promoting and maintaining peace in your respective neighbourhood during the elections.
“This is not a time to allow personal, religious, sectional or party interest to drive us to desperation,” he said.

ochejoseph: 7 Major Reasons Why Smart Youths & Students Are Voting For Atiku This Saturday
Nigerian students are among the most intelligent in the world. From Lagos to Owerri, from London to New York, the intellectual capacity of the young Nigerian is renowned. An analysis conducted by Rice University in the U.S. showed that Nigerian youths are the most educated of all migrants in the country. The institution credited the finding to a culture of relentless drive for education amongst Nigerians.
This Saturday, young Nigerians and students will be faced with task of selecting between a party that built 11 brand new universities from scratch in 3 years , sweeping millions of jambites into undergraduate programs and a party party that views youths and students as miscreants in the words of one of their leaders popularly known as "constituted authority".
There are several reasons why young Nigerians and students who have reached the voting age should kick out the cattle herder who glorifies cattles over human lives and the law professor under whose watch Nigeria's constitution is being raped with reckless abandon.
It takes a smart person to recognize incompetence, but only a man whose conscience is not snared can look beyond ethnic and religious sentiments to make an objective assessment. Here is why Nigerians youths and students should vote Atiku this Saturday: 1.The Extreme Hunger and Poverty In Our Hostels and Campuses
It is no news that life has become virtually unbearable for most Nigerians. Under the APC government of Buhari, the naira started competing with the Zimbabwean dollar for irrelevance as the prices of food stuffs soared.
The price of rice , garri and Indomie doubled, gala shrunk in size, while the salaries of most parents and sponsors remained stagnant or lost value. Many others became casualties of the job loss tsunami triggered by a medieval era economic policy known as Buharinomics which was described as the height of foolishness by the Financial Times of London.
The few parents and sponsors that managed to keep their jobs after the implementation of this policy could hardly support their wards because salaries were not paid. Under Buhari, we became the world headquarters for extreme hunger and poverty.
The good news here is that with an Atiku Presidency anchored on job creation and the opening up of the economy , joy and happiness is set to replace hunger and anger on our campuses. In the words of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria needs Atiku to make life more meaningful.( Nov 26. 2016 Daily Post)
2. The Inhuman Hike In school fees and Accommodation Charges
Despite renaging on virtually all their promises, the APC and its governors have inflicted untold hardship on Nigerian students. APC as a party is renowned for arbitrary hike in tuition fees and indiscriminate closure of schools when students protest such hikes. It took the intervention of ASUU and the upcoming elections for the Buhari administration to suspend the proposed increase in tuition fees to =N= 350,000. Voting for Buhari on saturday is an endorsement of the plan to increase the tuition of fee of public universities to between N350, 000 to N500, 000 per session.
On the other hand, here is what Buhari himself had to say about Atiku and education "Over the years, I have admired your courage and doggedness in defending your interests and your generosity in promoting education" ( Mohammadu Buhari Nov 24. 2016)
3. The Burden Of Transportation Cost On and Off Campus
Despite their pseudo promise that Nigerians will buy fuel for =N= 40 per liter , Nigerian students both on and off campuses have had to bear the brunt of high transport fares owing to the increase in the price of petroleum products by Buhari. High transport fares have also complicated life for students on Industrial training and catapulted cost of living for virtually everyone.
Unlike the current fraudulent subsidy regime being operated by the cabal, Atiku and Obi intend to clean up the system and provide affordable and easily accessible transportation system that would be fully integrated across the length and breadth of Nigeria making life much better for all Nigerians.
4. Nepotism & Employment Of Unqualified Lecturers.
Following the illegal sack of vice chacellors of Federal institutions by this regime, many federal universities which hitherto had a Nigerian outlook began wearing Northern look with the disengagement of non native lecturers and the employment of lecturers who can hardly express themselves in English teaching undergraduate students who knew better than them. With merit and intellectual capacity being slaughtered on the alter of nepotism, the result was a catastrophic fall in the standard of education in the federal universities affected.
What will Atiku do differently? This is how Garba Shehu, Atiku's former spokesman describes him "Even those who don’t like him say Atiku does not compromise on quality. He has a knack for identifying good staff. In line with this tradition, we hire only good hands. With Atiku, quality is always the number one issue". ( Premium Times Dec .8.2013)
5. Destruction Of the Almajiri School Legacy
According to UNICEF, the North East alone has about 3 Million Almajiris. The PDP through President Goodluck Jonathan created a path that began the transformation and reformation of the Almajiri school system. This resulted in the construction of commissioning of about 200 Almajiri schools with library , mosque and Mallams quarters . However, on November 17 , 2017 just two years into Buharis administration, The Daily Trust Newspaper reported that this laudable initiative of the PDP is now in ruins leaving an estimated 10 million Almajiri students wondering the streets of northern Nigeria with many becoming willing tools in the hands of extremists. This explains why Nigeria currently has 13.2 million out-of-school children about the highest in the world.
Atiku is a very compassionate person, unlike the malevolent fellow from Daura who does not care according to Amaechi, Atiku's holistic plan for education will ensure that our out of school children return to school at the shortest possible time , his UBE credentials and his actions during the Anambara school closure saga by Mbadinuju speaks for itself.
6.The Reckless Abandonment of Kano Students Abroad
Buhari watched helplessly as Ganduje stuff millions of dollars into the Central bank located inside his baban riga yet refusing to pay the tuition fees of Kano state students sent abroad during Kwankwaso' s era even though he was part and parcel of that government as deputy governor.
Why will a President allow his citizens to roam the streets of a foreign country begging for food, simply because he wants to send a message to a political foe?
Nigeria needs a students and youth friendly president like Atiku , one who understands young people and connects with their hopes and aspirations. Even when the Special Eagles where stranded, it was Atiku who came to their rescue and ensured our country was not disgraced.
7. Buharis Penchant For Demarketing Young Nigerians
The youths constitute a vast majority of the Nigerian students population. Despite their immense contribution to nation building, Buhari has used every available opportunity on the international stage to rubbish them in the eyes of the international community.
During a February 2016 interview with UK Telegraph, Mr Buhari said most Nigerian youths in the UK are disposed to criminality despite the fact that young Nigerian students are among the top performing students throughout the United Kingdom.
Even though research has clearly shown that young Nigerians are the most educated, our president still went ahead to describe us as the most uneducated and lazy crop of people at the Commonwealth Business Forum in the United Kingdom, attended by Heads of State and Government of 53 nations.
In contrast, Atiku passionately believes in the young Nigerian, he has openly declared his willingness to nuture our entraprenural drive and support us to achieve our dreams.
Having tried an analogue president and witnessed it's catastrophic consequence on a 21st century economy, it is time to elect a digital president
Having tried a cattle rearer with unproductive cows, it is time to elect a man that understands the demands of a global economy.
It is time to rescue Nigeria and Nigerians from the cabals by electing Atiku Abubakar as President so that our great country can start working again.
May God Himself Continue to Bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria
