Please my 11 weeks old daughter just won't take formulae she wants only breast milk, I was advised here to get other types and which I did but after first trial she won't take it again.
I'm so bothered right now cos I'm resuming work next week Monday. Been having issues with mil cos she wants us to force-feed her which I feel the baby might get used to and in turn cause problem when they start crèche.
Her twin bro takes between 75-100 mls which my daughter struggles with 25mls. Please what can I do about this

Mama twins, sorry dear...Try expressing and feed her with the bottle. You will need to do a lot of experiment o..Try different bottles; avent, tommee tippee, dr.brown... If she refuses all, try spoon. If spoon does not work, try syringe. Also, you will need to try another milk; probably she does not like the one she's taking now. DO NOT FORCE FEED.

I had same dilemma when I was going to resume work too, my daughter refused formula. I bought different bottles try, changed milk...finally we ended up giving her lactogen with syringe till she turned 4 months and I started supplementing with Heinz cereals.

hey mama, how are you doing? Which one is baby Dove? I've used dove sensitive and it's pretty good. I think Dove generally is ok for babies

Come! How old is this child that is going through this many things in your hands you sound stressed! child care is not an easy task, get help or ask for one! They know little or nothing about safety, better still use something he can't move to cover the socket and don't get tired of covering and gently talking to him not to go there. When you beat a child, you make him timid and withdrawn!!! as for sleeping on him, calm down!!! HE IS STILL A BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take it easy on this child and on your self

Alright thanks. Luckily i got the drink yesterday on my way from work, bought it for #500 and i was hoping i bought same drink as the price is low compared to what i read here. My ds likes it and finished all at once but my dd doesn't but i'm forcing her to drink hoping she'll finish the remaining today.

Most times, the reason they bite is because they feel frustrated or they've not had enough time with you. Probably you were away for long and she didn't understand the reason for your absence. when you are back home after the day's job, spend like 10-15 minutes with her before doing any other thing. That bonding is very essential for her.
when next she wants to attempt it, draw her close; look into her eyes and gently tell her "don't bite me! It hurts"...when you do that 2-3 times, she will stop it...I don't support beating !

Hello All, I'm new to nairaland so following up on all the conversations has been overwhelming. I'm currently in the U.S to have my baby. I applied for drop box (b1/b2) and got my visa in January. travelled late Feb at about 32wks. At POE I was sent to secondary inspection and the stamped a May 1st return date which is approx 1 week after my EDD. They asked if i told them at the interview that i was coming to give birth, i said no, didnt have an interview. They seem shocked at first and had never heard of drop box. I'm sure I can't travel with a 1 week old newborn. I'm really confused. my original return trip is mid May. Pls I need your urgent advice. Thanks.

Google Chicago passport office, call and tell them you need appointment for tomorrow cos you have to apply for visa. Go to the passport agency and you will pick up passport same day.

When passport is out, apply for visa on arrival. Look for the process here

Adding a baby on air france is not a big deal.. call the airline and tell them to add your baby. It can also be done at the airport.

DD is a twin girl. She hasn't been meeting her developmental milestone. She throws up and shows little or no interest in eating(likes to take a lot of water) asides breastmilk. She turns 1 this month. Her twin brother weighs about 4kg more than her. Last weight check was around 5.8kg, her twin brother almost 6.3kg. She's yet to start crawling while her twin brother, though not yet standing alone or walking, started crawling and standing with support over 2 months ago. She is not as energetic as his twin brother, all she could do is make a 360 degrees turn while sitting with little or no effort to reach for objects beyond her circumference. She always wants to stand when being held but hardly makes attempt of it unaided. Sometimes I feel scared as to whether everything is alright with her cos she looks little in size(weight). The Pediatric says she's Ok and recommended motor skills exercise for her but I'm still kinda worried as this has not seemed to have helped. Any advice pls?

- For the food, get very fancy and colorful plate... most toddlers this age wants to feed themselves... give her chicken, fish, eggs, sausages..allow her feed herself
- If really worried about her weight, buy pediasure drink for her... come back and testify
- put toys in front of her, encourage and cheer her up when she makes any move
