Actually she's right. We do it even with download of movies so I'm guilty but I try not to do it with stuff that are Nigerian (or women's property because I feel things are hard enough for us business wise. Plenty recipes have been shared here free of charge. AS herself shares free recipes on her IG page almost everyday, let's manage that one.

exactly! we do it does not make it right.. we are here to help ourselves not just in mummy roles but in morals as well.

If you run a small business, you will understand the pain. I remember lagoshousewife lamenting seriously how some person where sharing her book in their whatsapp group. It could really be painful knowing fully well that she goes all out to share recipes. even mummysyum has wonderful recipes on her blog, now she created an e-book. The least anybody will do is to support her effort and buy the book

Hello great mothers.

My hubby and I are really irritated about our daughter's behaviour. She agrees anyone carry her. Even if visitors are not willing she wil start crying for them to carry her.

She doesn't have class, this one carry me that one carry me, we are irritated. How do we stop her without visitors getting angry over it?

Sunday before the last I took her out on a walk, hey you guys need to see how she was embarrassing everyone we walk by, she will run to meet whoever she sees around with all smiles and hands up to be carried.

We wants to start stopping her by all means. But I need advise on how to do this without really making outsiders look stupid.

oya reverse this statement before you pay fine tongue tongue I understand how you feel and it can be really annoying. What you will do that I know works cos I do same with my kids: talk to her often... truth is :these children understand conversations no matter their age... I say to my son "No Fredrick, don't stretch your hands to be carried, that's not nice"...cos I say it often, it has become part of him and when his lil sis stretches to a stranger, he shouts ..Feddy, that's not nice cheesy cheesy. Again, when she stretches.... politely tell the person not to carry her and then say to her with a smile... that's not nice, you are a big girl...

Don't worry, it's a phase and will pass. Most importantly, I don't allow men carry my daughter, I will hold her while you play with her...yes; call me paranoid.. too many paedophiles everywhere. That's why I want only one girl; taking care of them is so much work grin grin grin

Na photocopy oo...just last Saturday my neighbour gave me hers... see me happily rushing to make photocopy ehn. Did it for 1k.....i paid joyfully.

This is not nice and worse is saying it openly!

Remember this is someone's intellectual property! She spent time, money, effort, sleepless nights etc to put that book together and you come boldly to say how excited you are about photocopying it undecided undecided

For every mama thinking of making photocopy of August secret's book, this is absolutely unacceptable! Probably we didn't know in the past, but from today know that it is wrong! Imagine someone doing that to you!

There are a lot of free recipes online for your use! Please maximize those one and desist from photocopying hard copies or sharing soft copies with your friends. Their businesses can only grow when you buy!

Lemme wade into this issue of information sharing and research. Yes a lot of people like being spoon fed not only on nairaland sef, I know someone that didn't want to take the pain to do this research and got her friend that had gone on a missionary journey to help her. That one did everything, all she needed to do was carry her things and cross PoE, only for her to get to Chicago and they sent her back due to some inconsistencies in her answers (she wasn't confident cos she didn't even know some of the things in her paper work, such carelessness ehn!)
People should take the pain to research, I spent hours and lots of data and airtime on research cos there was no info about Colorado here (even if there was I would've still searched cos there's always a better deal somewhere), funny thing is when I started I was only getting hospitals that we're quoting $10k and above (on just hospital o!) even my cousins started discouraging me sef that we might never find until I finally got this one. In fact my cousin didn't believe me, she went there herself to confirm the cost and all which they did. All that research gave me so much confidence for PoE cos I knew I got all the information myself firsthand, no them say them say.
Like people have said, since we're spending a lot of money on this journey we need to invest as much time into it to be sure we're getting right. There so many hospitals here that have affordable deals which I found out when I 'researched' and it wasn't even difficult. I'm so invested that the front desk lady at my doctor's office is already my padi cos I called and called her tire.
Please let's take the pain and do this little work, it's your money.

Perfect! See the joy derived because you are well knowledgeable about your findings smiley smiley I don't intent having more babies now but I still research and have some sweet deals; info saved for when I'm ready for another baby grin

When you tell people research, dey sAY No and what you to give them answers to their questions ASAP cheesy cheesy

Happy sunday wonderfully made mamas.

Pls i need tips /answers on the following.
1.how to potty train my son. he will be a 1yr and 5months by next month.
Wear him pull ups, you can also buy a fancy potty.. it actually helps. If he has started school, find out if they potty train. Mine was actually done by the school so it was effortless for me

2.I want to change his milk from peak 123 to ordinary full cream peak. hope it is in order?
You are fine

3.is liquid milk good for his age. peak is the only liquid that i know which is full cream, others like three crown, olympic are filled evaporated. which one is better?
I've not use liquid milk for him before, only powdered. if he has no reactions, I think he should be fine

4. I cant hear a clear word from him yet. no papa, mama, daddy etc. hope I am safe?
Talk! Talk!! Talk!!! Engage him in conversations. Say good morning to him, tell him to respond. Ask him "how are you", teach him to respond. Read story books to him. Play all those educational videos that says " count with me" "repeat after me".. sing songs to him, let him watch them sing and repeat. If after all these, you don't notice a difference, see a speech therapist

5. I love you all. My regards to the family.
Love to your family too kiss kiss

It has been a long journey, over a year now..
Hello mamas in the house, sure u're doing great with ur families...at 24weeks I had a cervical ceclage,I also developed gestational diabetes and I was injecting myself of insulin day and night....but @ 26weeks,my water broke,d 1st guy came out himself,d doctor tied d placenter cord and stucked if in cos d 3babies were all in their different water sacs.after 30mins,d baby gave up. I was not permitted to cry in order not to cause contractions. 2days later,d other 2 came out,on their own accord, after 8hours d 2nd boy gave up,it was d 3rd d smallest,0.9g dat survived it (d other boys were 1kg and 1.2kg).For d placenter to come out,it was war but after about 5hours,God showed me mercy, and it came out, though not all,cos after about 3months(still in d hospital-NICU) a procedure was carried out on me to evacuate the placenter residual products left. My baby had so many challenges of course, severe apnea attack and anaemic wahala,Today he is almost 10kg,he is far smarter, eats a lot,fun to be with, too many beautiful qualities. The road was a rough one though, breastfeeding via pumping every 2hours, angry 2day der is nothing he does not eat. Still recovering from dat pregnancy sha(back pain, sciatic injury, protruded tummy embarassed) but in all,God has been faithful...

o dear, it's so good to hear from you after about 1 yr. smiley smiley Thank God you did not lose them all... as for the bolded, don't stress yourself about it... remember you were carrying triplets! you can do some massage for the pains... your tommy might take some time...you can go the exercise and diet route if you can otherwise let it be.. that's your badge of achievement cheesy cheesy

take care of you and your lovely baby

Don't worry.. more babies are coming your way kiss kiss

You asked the question like you were willing to help. Thank you all the same.

you see the problem why nobody answers some questions here... I gave you the name of a place, you are asking me for the link when you have google! I directed you to google which I will also use to get it for you if I wish and you took offence!

my dear, read through this thread in the different parts! I've had 2 children in the US; Houston and Chicago and ALL info was from this thread. My first time of visiting those cities was to give birth and I pulled through.

Get a note book, do some research and take notes. It will help you. Good luck

please mamas I'm new here my lo isn't latching well and I'm finding it difficult to feed him since I plan to exclusively Breastfeed him please this is getting to me cos he makes him cry alot and in laws are not making it easy on me like I'm the one that has the wrong type of Breast, please help this ftm from getting depressed
he is 6 days old today, I'm expressing the little I can for him.

Sorry dear. The first few days of breastfeeding can be very difficult! Before you breastfeed,
1. Get a pillow and prop him up so he can be in a comfortable position
2. Have a bottle of water next to you, be drinking while breastfeeding
3. Breastfeed at regular intervals, don't wait for him to be hungry before bringing him to the breast
4. Take oats, pap, tea to increase breast milk production
5. You also have to relax cos stress causes breast milk not to flow properly
6. Having done all these, if you ain't getting your desired result, don't starve your child! Supplement with formula. Giving a baby formula does not make you less of a mother! Ignore whatever comments anyone will make at you

Hello everyone, quick question please to process baby's US passport in Chicago, Is the form ds3053 notorized by a public notary accepted or does it have to be only from the US embassy in Nigeria?

Either works. Notary public or embassy is accepted

I'm back o.
All of you laughing at one thing one thing and something something, I'm back with pictures sef.
The curl revitalizer is to give our Afro a pop. If we're having a party on Sunday, I apply the it on her hair and braid the hair in fat chunks on Saturday morning , Sunday morning I loosen the fat braids and we have our curly Afro hair by picking with the blue comb or cutting comb.
The hair mayonnaise makes her hair very soft and easy to comb. It also makes her scalp look wet and slick after plaiting. Hairdressers don't like this cos it makes the hair slip off their fingers.
Coconut Oil for the shine and scalp in roads.
The styling custard is so the hair stays in a bun all day without using those horrible gels when we're going out. I also use it when she plaits a style that has brush.
Detangler is used for our next day Afro.

Atinuke in a bun, Afro, hair loose and hair in corn rows.

Hair goals kiss kiss kiss kiss very beautiful
