Testimony Time!
Initially I didn't take the use of Carbage for the treatment of engorgement as a result of weaning serious because I couldn't fathom how a mere vegetable in my own thinking could do that magic. So, I suffered terrible pains and engorgement for close to one week after weaning my baby which made me to try out plenty things like putting face towel in the freezer and using on my breast afterwards, taking up to 1 card of diclofenac, took 2 tabs of Parlodel Bromicriptine that was given me by a pharmacist but I couldn't continue cos it was giving me plenty headache and making me dizzy. So, after almost One week of all these trials with nothing working. I had to heed to the Carbage advice which made me to wear bra with Carbage inside it for 3 days on a stretch. The only time I removed my bra was when I want to have my bath and to tell you the truth, my engorged breast has come down and the pain has reduced drastically.
So, I said I must come and testify and thank all our mamas for the wisdom you have and share.
You might not understand the positive of effect of the things you do but have it at the back of your minds that you are all life savers. God bless us all

About this family planning, people around are telling DH that it delays/affects another pregnancy when one removes it. Now he's not in full support again although he says I can go for it if I want. pls any mama that did FP and took in without issues indicate..,lemme know.

Also, my baby has refused to take formula. she's 14weeks. I tried mixing it with Ogi she didn't accept it but she took plain Ogi yesterday. I'm not comfortable with this her style. what do I do pls?

Let me first comment on the formula feeding. 14 weeks is too young for ogi games! please stop. Babies can be tricky with feeding. You might have to do the following:
- change the formula; maybe she no longer likes the current one
- check the teat of the bottle and ensure it's flowing well; you can also change the bottle. My daughter also gave me this stress. Changed bottles from tommee tippee to avent to dr browns; still she refused
- try using syringe or spoon to feed her

at this age, she needs all the milk. try all the methods possible to make sure she takes milk

Then for the family planning, non hormonals like IUDs have no issues with when taken out if you want to conceive ASAP

Mama Biko help me ooo.... I don’t want to go to hospital because my pediatrician always see me as to curious human being . My baby has been having this catarrh that will be going and coming. Although I usually have catarrh too because it’s once in a while that my nose goes completely dry. Secondly, the way she’s yawning nowadays is alarming. For example I picked her up from crèche dis evening, although the aunty told me that she just woke up but she yawned up to three times before we got home. Please has anyone experienced this. Give her vit C religiously... this is catarrh and cough season. You can add a drop of silverbird oil on her dress; it will help the catarrh . Also try to keep her warm.

There are other options to consider: cervix size, if you have potentials of putting weight etc esp if they want to give you hormonals like implanon. Again, hormonals on its own won't make you fat; it only increases your appetite and if you can discipline yourself, you will be fine.

Telling you to use condom only is absolutely incorrect! Also remember not all doctors are skilled to do family planning. He's your ob'gyn or took your delivery does not mean he can do family planning. Go to a health centre or general hospital, they have special family planning clinics that will educate you and give you the best option.

It's called fibroid degeneration in preg and can cause abortion, preterm labor among other things....
The paracetamol is safe and will help a little
What worked for me and I have experienced it work for my patients with fibroid too is to DRINK A LOT OF WATER... STAY WELL HYDRATED
drink water like a fish, like life depend on it.
When you are well hydrated the pain is less minimal
And please rest well too
