Being worried and as well being praying. My kids are three months and am resuming work in three weeks, I get worried with the thought of leaving them. Make God just do me miracle of a whopping sum make I resign. Just 10 million, heheeheh, God pls help me.

Mamas, pls how did you cope when you resume work? I have two people are home to help take care of them but am still feeling somehow.

It's ok to feel the way you are feeling.

One rule of the game when resuming work after child birth is to resume on a WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY. That way, the weekend is very close for you to spend with your babies again.

Also, if your office is not far from home, pop in at break time, play with them and go back. If not, when you get back home, make it mummy and baby's time. Once I'm back from work, I discharge everybody and spend all the time with my baby till morning again.

I didn't have swollen feet during my pregnancy.. But after birth I had swollen feet. I cldnt wear shoe. I just elevated my legs... After a while it subsided. My BP was normal... It's just like that with some women.

Don't joke with high temperature and stooling in infants! Dealing with a sick child is not easy. I'm talking frm experience.

Also, let's all try to see a pediatrician! Most GP's find it hard to deal with less than 2yrs old. Don't joke with vaccinations too. Rotavirus vaccine is very important amongst others.

May God preserve our children and may we never bury any of them.

I have not done this before so i really don't have the experience.

From what I've read, I think you need letters from your doctor in Nigeria and US, bank statements...I don't know what else is needed.

Pls what will the doctor write the on letter
He needs to state your present health condition that should make them grant you an expedited appointment

Swollen feet after birth? Go back let him check your bp. You have retained fluids. Also make sure you are drinking a lot of water and reduce the standing. Elevate your legs with a pillow. However, call the doctor's office right away. Kisses to your lil princess

This is the constant debate i've been having with my mum and pple that visit. Its even tiring. Some say keep him wrapped up all the time cus its better he sweats and develop heat rashes than for him to catch a cold.
Others say don't use fan or AC for him until he's 6months.

For me, I don't use fan but Ac is a must. I always ask dem hw children born in extremely cold places survive. Biko, naija is too hot for the cover cover

The one that is almost causing fight between DH and I na sleepsuits. Any time I pick up long sleeve coverall he would start shouting ' babe naija is hot oooo, do you want my son to have heat rashes'. Even though iv tried to explain that its only for sleeping especially at night but im thinking, does the baby need to be covered from head to toe? The plan is to always have a mosquito net over his crib and AC regulated to suit his temp.

The sleepsuit with covered toes is always advisable at night cos it's easy for infants to get cold via their feet. U can use body suits and rompers for day time.

I googled the witch hazel didn't know it had a pad o. I even saw how the home made one can be constructed using new born diaper (spray with witch hazel liquid then place in freezer) . U come use am as pad

Ijeomaobi1, Pele dear. Dat pain can be something else. I hope u were prescribed 500mg of ibuprofen. Wat I did was use epsom salt and witch hazel pads. Send someone to Walmat or buy online. I pour the epsom salt into my bath filled with hot water and lounge inside, it gives me more relief than the small sitz bath. Also get dermoplast spray, use as often as u feel discomfort. U should be fine in days. Also avoid too much standing and walking around. Always use a spray bottle after urinating.

Sorry dear, lounging in that hot water and Epsom salt gives a lot of relief!
