Even estimate for Pediatrician is like 450, both in-hosp and post-discharge visits with Dr. B. Pls anyone with an idea of cheaper pediatrician around Houston Methodist? Hearing test is optional. At least I know for oakbend. They give u a paper to sign saying it's REQUIRED by d state of texas. But u can decline. It's not compulsory

Also How many routine visit do we have to make to the Pediatrician after discharge and any idea of the cost and clinic? Also, for those who used Dr. D, pls did you take along any test results from naija, cos i understand the doc's fees cover all lab tests and ultra scan. 3. Yes, take your naija results along. They will accept some like genotype, blood group and repeat every other one he's not ok with. additional tests whe will do for you are Gestational diabetes test, Strep B test

Haa, after baby had poopoo like twice. That was my second day already. My mum start to pray. Went to meet d head nurse and explained she agreed to discharge me but I will stay as a boarder. Around6.30pm, princess finally peepee.

They must do hearing test, it is a Texas law. It is NICS people that will do it. When they bring your bill, you will see it there


lol @ baby refused to peepee. Your mama is funny o, until dey do evry test to their satisfaction, baby na their own.. They can discharge you but ask you to come back later for your baby. Thank God she's fine

Good day mamas. Abeg make una help me torchlight this my matter. I went for ANC today and my doc has booked me for CS on thursday ( I will be 41weeks). I am seriously praying that I go into labour before Thursday cos I want to try for a VBAC. I can't be induced cos of a failed induction during my first which led to my first CS. [b]I am keeping an open mind [/b]but the thing is that my mum is not too strong health wise at the moment and I have a 3year old son plus my husband to tend to and I don't have any help. I don't know what to do cos I was hoping they would let labour come on its but my doctor was saying she can't take any chances. I called my mum to let her know but she said I should hold on and not report at the hospital yet cos anything can still happen ( might fall into labour) I have been taking walks, kpekused, eaten pineapple from 37wks but still no show. Please forgive my ranting and plenty talk. I am just feeling a bit discouraged. Anyone that has been through this should please advise me.

This is what you need now. Go on and have your baby safe and sound. This is not the time to take care of your hubby and son. The reverse should be the case. Hubby should help out while you start looking for someone. Whether VBAC or CS, the post partum effects are almost the same. All the best and head to the hospital tomorrow *hugs*

You can enter thru any state, you've got no problems at all. My final stop was Houston but used Minneapolis as POE.

B4 u start sending DM's, go through their post. you can put their names in the search engine, click on it, then click on "view apple19's post'. You will see where she shared the name of the hospital she used. Google the hospital, get their contact number and call them . Ask them for their OB package for self pay patients. also put the name of the hospital in the search bar to see others that uswed it and get more info.

To send DM, click on the person's name. It takes you to the person's profile, then click on "send email message to ....". a message box will come up that u can't edit, click send. If the person replies, then you can start communicating with him/her.

Hello Feddy, is ETC the same as obtaining Naija visa on d blue passport for the baby? I am asking cos i am abit confused, especially with the issue going on at the Nija embassy there. Pls, i'll also like to have an idea of the cost of ETC and naija visa. thanks thanks.

ETC is different from the visa; they are both alternative ways of taking your baby back to naija.

For visa, you av to mail the child's passport to the agent in Atlanta while ETC you only send details and dey send the ETC as a sheet of paper to you

If you can and there is Nigerian embassy in your state, carry your baby plus 170 dollars or 190 dollars( for same day or next day pick up) in money order ,application letter for the etc,baby passport photo, birth certificate and your flight ticket to the embassy . you really need any agent except the embassy is far from you

She is in Houston and there is no nearby embassy so she definitely needs an agent

I will just help you with this circumcision contact but endeavor to share your experience and not only collect info ! Contact Dr Amaro of West Houston Medical Centre for the circumcision. I think he charges $200

U think I just progress like that? Was taking evening prime rose tablet, red raspberry and peppermint tea. Then I waka for Jerusalem o. Was practically brisk walking every 1 hour! Imagine that. Then one mama told me about "yoga dancing into Labour" I do that one. So my cervix was very ready for hard work o when I was induced.

O baby yo! U too much... I've learnt jare...fear no gree me take raspberry tea last time but this time around, I will do everything. Even this yoga class sef, i will enrol.

Thanks for checking up on us. Had a scan to check the baby's weight and she was 6.2 pounds at 34wks 3 days, is that ok? i am officially waddling like an overfed toad. Started Lamaze classes today and loved it. I hope time runs as fast as possible. Just cant wait.

Congrats mama. I think 6.2 pounds at 34wks 3days is very ok. I had my baby at 39wks and he weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces. Enjoy ur lamaze classes esp the breathing techiques
