You can send me a pm or email and I’ll give more details.
Eddy4400:

She should fill her work experience as 2014 to 2015.
And PhD from 2015 to 2018. She should be truthful and honest in her application, remember she would still submit her passports and they would see she’s been in uk.
Sh can do an LOE to state she was on study leave with pay.
Eddy4400:
Hello house...pls help with this scenario, I'm asking for a friend.

She started work in a university in Nigeria in 2014 and took study leave to pursue a PhD in UK in 2015. So thats one year full time experience before the PhD which is her primary NOC. However, her employment is still running and she still gets paid as she's expected to come back after the PhD. I understand that she can't claim points for work experience gained while studying. Soooo...

1. For work experience, should she fill 2014 -2018 and state this lecturer job as her current work experience? Would CIC calculate and figure out the 1year themselves since she's equally filling her PhD under education?

2. Or should she fill 2014-2015...nothing as current work experience. Then fill the period from 2015-2018 post ITA in personal history? If this is the case, will work reference state start date as 2014 without end date?

Pls help, to avoid misrepresentation issues. Thanks

I did a post graduate course for 8 months, got only 15 points for that. I worked for 9 months after that but because it wasn’t up to a year, couldn’t claim points for that.

Congratulations @Fede890
I'm confused, if you had Canadian education, why do you still need ECA and 8777 in IELTS?
Can you please share? Thank God it ended in praise

...............................ITS PPR ...............

Timeline:
ITA: 7th February 2018
AOR: 25TH APRIL
MEP: 9TH MAY
IP2: 24TH JULY
ADR: 15TH August, submitted ADR: 18th August
PPR: 7th September

My Canadian journey started in 2015 when a colleague at work told me about it, due to personal reasons, I was not quite ready to relocate permanently at the time, I opted to study and luckily I was approved for study leave at work.
Spent a year and a half in Canada and of course I did not want to come back to naija but had no choice as I had to return back to my job here.
I wrote IELTS 3 times, twice in Nigeria, once in Canada
1st attempt: LRSW: 8,8.5,8,6.5 (did not bother to remark, knew I didn't do well in writing)
2nd attempt: LRSW: 7.5, 8.5, 7, 7 ( no point remarking because of listening)
3rd attempt: LRSW: 8.5.8.5,8,7
WES: waited for 7 months before I got ECA, I had wanted to apply before my visa expired to extend my status in Canada but WES had other plans

POST ITA:
Had 3 months to submit,I wasted the first month, did not do anything other than medicals, I was pretty occupied with other things.
Started gathering documents sometime in March. End of march, ran into some troubles, I couldn't get hold of my Canadian bank to give me a reference letter, I called several times, sent emails, they confirmed receipt of email yet no letter. This went on for another 3 weeks.
In the mean time, I thought of rejecting the ITA because the funds in the Canadian account was about 40% of POF and back then I did not know about gift deeds.
Thankfully, with less than two weeks to go before deadline to submit, I called the bank's contact center and was literally crying on the phone to the lovely agent that helped me out. She kept me on hold and contacted my home branch and got the branch manager to send me my reference letter that same day.
POF included:
savings from my office cooperative account,
mutual funds investment I did sometime last year an
Cad account (submitted statements printed online, I was not about to start another huddle of trying to get stamped statements).
submitted 6 months statement of my salary account (stamped), was advised to submit this as further proof of employment

Newbies, don't take it personal when seniors refer you to page 1. after I found this tread and everyone always saying page 1, I went to look at the page 1, imagine my shock when I found out about gift deed. Could have used that since when I was not getting appropriate response instead if giving myself unnecessary high bp.

Wishing you all speedy PPRs, the journey wasn't easy but it was well worth it.

Congratulations, lovely write up as well.
Afro24:
I had known about this immigration program since 2014 because I kept getting unsolicited emails from one of the canada immigration consultants, but I just did not think it was worth the trouble especially when I saw I had to pay a fee to be assessed.

The decision to immigrate was finally made in October 2017, so I proceeded with WES evaluation in November and picked an exam date for IELTS. The result of IELTS was decent as I exceeded the 8777 requirement. Unfortunately, I could only achieve 413 as being grey, not having a masters degree and my ICAN certificate being almost worthless had depleted my score.

At this point, PNP was the way to go but sadly, Ontario decided to be the new CIC so I had to rule them out. I took up French classes all in a bid to improve CRS as the miracle of May 2017 was clearly not going to happen but oboi....that french thing is fun but no be beans oh.

Nova Scotia announced the opening of Category B stream for candidates without job offers on April 28th. Since my NOC was in demand, I grouped all my documents in folders and proactively waited for them.

I successfully applied after 5 exasperating hours of sitting on the floor and refreshing my browsers (Nova Scotia PNP is notorious for their website shutting down following the millions of candidates trying to win a spot and to make matters worse.....it's entirely free)

Thankfully, I was nominated 3 weeks after and as good mathematics students, you know what my CRS came to. Then the journey began.

ITA was received on May 30th ( This draw was unexpected).
AOR.......July 4th.
Medical was passed on 20th July( this date means alot).
IP2.........I really don't know the exact date because I stopped checking. It should be around August 14th.

Ready for Visa Email/PPR........August 28th.

This is to encourage all those looking at improving their scores. Just keep at it and I think desperation in chasing the scores is everything. We will all succeed because I want to be able to eat "oporoko" in that country when I choose.

To those contributing positively on this thread......you are everything.

Alright folks....je veux aller soumettre mon passeport.

Good morning my people, please I need help with this:
I got an ADR yesterday to fill and submit enclosed details of government employment form. I am to describe in detail my job functions. My job functions were described in detail in my reference letter post ITA, is it okay if what I am submitting now is word for word with previous reference letter submitted. There’s really nothing much I can add to it.

Quick question: does IQAS require the verification like WES??

Asking for my sister: she just paid WES on Thursday, wants to know if she can get a refund and go for IQAS.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by Fede890: 5:48pm On Aug 03, 2018
I spent 7 months waiting for WES, I advised people to go for IQAS now.
Ethelia:

Exactly. I've always wondered why people flock to WES so much especially those from schools with a history of delay.

Hi, new to this thread, wish I had known about this for a while

My question: I am currently in IP2, how will I know which visa office is processing my file?
