Washington DC, The current governor is Democrat Jay Inslee, who took office on January 16, 2013 and was reelected in 2016; his term will expire on January 13, 2021.

Typically Democrats do very well in the urban regions of Memphis and Nashville, while Republicans dominate the rural and suburban areas. Tennessee is considered a safe Republican state. In 2016, it stayed that way with Trump winning the state with 60.7% of the vote.

Wife of George Floyd’s Accused Killer Derek Chauvin Demands Divorce from Ex-Cop

Kellie Chauvin, the wife of the former Minneapolis police officer charged in the death of George Floyd, has announced she is “devastated” over the situation and is divorcing her husband, according to CBS Minnesota. In a statement, a representative told the news station that her “utmost sympathy lies with his [Floyd’s] family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving tragedy.” She is said to have already filed for the dissolution of her marriage to the former police officer, and asks for “privacy during this difficult time.”

Kellie belongs to the Hmong group, but her parent’s names are not known. Mrs. Chauvin was born in Laos in 1974, Her brother Tou Thao was also involved in the incident where his fellow officer and brother-in-law pinned George Floyd to death. At the Age of 3 she and her family moved to Thailand for safety, she stayed in a refugee camp from 1977-1980. In October 1980 She and her family moved to Wisconsin USA.

Her parents had her married off before she turned 18 to someone she apparently barely knew. During the course of the relationship (which Mrs. Chauvin says was abusive), she bore two children. She chose to get a divorce and move to Minnesota – her former husband died soon after.

It was in Minnesota that Mrs. Chauvin met Derek, and the couple have now been married for around 10 years.

Her Facebook profile – listed under Kellie Chauvin – says that “real and photography is my passion, so let me make you look good.” She was listed as self-employed and as a real estate agent at RE/MAX Results. The account has either been deactivated or deleted.

In 1967, Walter Headley, who was the Miami police chief at the time, made the same remark when talking about measures he planned to take against demonstrators.

Headley, according to the Times, “attracted national attention in the late 1960s for using shotguns, dogs and a heavy-handed ‘stop-and-frisk’ policy to fight crime in the city’s black neighborhoods.”

Twitter cited the origin of Trump’s quote as the reason it labeled the president’s tweet in violation of its standards.
