Indeed - interesting days ahead. I had thought there are better things to do instead of turning their positions into a circus.

We the people just have to watch the "conjuring" and the dance around the village Square in circle.

When all is said and done, hope they come back to real issues.
---The GOP House has not mentioned anything how they will help the American tax payer---more jobs, better paying jobs, lowering the cost of groceries---going after the oil companies that have made senseless profits in the past 2 years---how about big the pharmas?---.

----No plans for better healthcare, better salaries for first responders and teachers---more funding for Veterans---the homeless---lowering taxes etc---The next 2 years will be a real circus---

Several classified documents from President Joe Biden’s time as vice president were discovered last fall in a private office, a source with knowledge of the matter tells CNN.

The National Archives has referred the matter to the Justice Department for further investigation, the source told CNN.

Biden’s lawyers found the government materials in November while closing out a Washington, DC-based office that Biden used as part of his relationship with the University of Pennsylvania, where he was an honorary professor from 2017 to 2019, the source said.

Many Bolsonaro supporters have refused to accept the far-right former leader's defeat in elections more than two months ago to the leftist Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who was sworn in as president a week ago.

Videos and photos of the scenes posted to social media also showed crowds invading and ransacking the nearby presidential palace and Supreme Court. Swarms of the Bolsonaro supporters, known as "Bolsonaristas," were seen charging past security barriers and clashing with police who appeared to be using pepper spray against them.

Congressional offices were closed as the mob moved up the ramp of the Congress building and climbed on the roof and broke windows.

Some of the crowd, many draped in the Brazilian national flag or its colors, looked to be recording the invasion on their phones.

US Economy Adds More Jobs Than Expected in December

The US economy added 223K jobs in December of 2022, the least since December of 2020, after a downwardly revised 256K rise in November, and beating market expectations of 200K. Notable job gains occurred in leisure and hospitality (67K), health care (55K), construction (28K), and social assistance (20K) while employment changed little in manufacturing (8K), retail trade (9K) and government (3K).

No Democrat can ever vote McCarthy. He foolishly started attacking democrats even before the votes were counted. He promised to strip democrats of all commitee appointments. So what's the incentive for any democrat to vote for McCarthy?
