They laughed, handed me my passport and told me I’ll be fine, they then directed me to the correct gate, apparently the were already boarding…

Congratulations..... did you use Ksa immigration? greis1: Had to go back to my last post on pg 280 to drop my timeline
First Application: March 2020 Refused- May 2020 Second Application: July 11 2020 Upfront medical- July 10 2020 Refused- August 23 2020 Judicial Review- September 2020 Settlement offer- October 2020 Application reopened- December 10 2020 Medical passed- February 28 2021 BVL- March 11 2021 Medical expired, new request and submission- July 2021 PPR- August 6, 2021
My application was quite complicated— *at the time JR was done, I didn’t have an admission anymore (the college had even refunded me); I had to look for a new school (different program and province) and upload new LOA within the 30-day timeline. *According to the GCMS notes I got in June 2021, PPR was issued in April for the old LOA, and this was later cancelled after the visa officer noticed the new LOA. |

My special appreciation goes to God that made my dreams come to reality. He deserves all the glory. I also want to appreciate @JustMellow (gcmswriters) for his guidance and prompt approach in handling my LOE. I reached out to him when I received my notes thinking I could explain the lumpsums before a decision was made but refusal came some days after. JustMellow assisted in writing my LOE to address the financial concerns as well as reconstruct my SOP to address purpose of visit (studied engineering but going for business management course). God bless you and cause his face to shine upon you. Going for a 2yr PG certificate. Thank you to everyone for their selfless contributions on this thread. The advices, comments and testimonies kept me going even when it looked like all hope was lost. Thank you for the congratulatory messages. God bless you all.
PS: I was able to reapply 3 days after my initial refusal because I already had my GCMS notes and had addressed the concerns in my LOE. All PPR hopefuls will testify soon by God’s grace. |

Lol... @ladyblaq... Please Lord it’s this kind of headache I want oh... LadyBlaq: We prayed for PPR, it's here and we are thinking twice...
I am talking about me, myself and I. I am seriously so lazy about my travel plans. I have been busy doing nothing and everything. I have chest pains each time I think of leaving momsy even for one month. I don't know what and whatnot to pack, I don't even know where to start from...
I am a huuuge sucker for Nigerian foods, ( I lost an overwhelming amount of weight the last time I was at Singapore, with their pink and bright coloured foods). I don't know how to start parking and packaging my foods, I am almost certain I will have to pay for extra luggage, thanks to my love for our foods. I swore not to take the vaccine here in Nigeria. I punched calculator for the 14 days quarantine and the next place I saw myself was at the nearest primary healthcare center, and then I turned back after standing for 20 minutes looking at people taking their jabs . I am so indecisive....
About my flight, I have booked a lot of them and they have all expired because I am yet to make up my mind for a particular date I am sure the airline ticketing computers yaff tire for me sef
Why am I like this? My program of study isn't listed as one of those having full delivery online( it's hybrid) and resumption is 14th of September, still, I am believing I'd start online first and nothing will happen...naija spirit in me geh coconut head
It's not even funny bayi! Who do me like this? Can I hire someone to plan this for me? This is becoming more tedious than applying to IRCC for visa plus the wait join...oh chi m!
Adeolu and Daba if you are reading this, please pray for me, I am as confused as anything...

Big congratulations!!!! quote author=may99 post=103233479] Long Post Alert Application Submitted——————- May 11 Biometrics Request————————May 13 Biometrics Completed——————- May 14 NSE Request———————————May 25 Medicals Passed ————————- May 31 NSE Submitted——————————June 11 Eligibility—————————————June 14 PPR&BVR————————————June 30 I tried to look for ghost updates but I didn’t have the tenacity to keep checking my profile every morning. DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED - International Passport ( With 2travel histories) Digital Photo All IMM forms Admission Letter with Tuition Information attached Client Information 1. Request to be exempted from NSE Yeah, I know . I started the application with the mindset of following the regular route. I wrote a five paragraphed letter telling them that I had TOEFL and didn’t want to write IELTS 2. TOEFL Results 3. Statement of Purpose I’m going for a masters course that aligns with my undergraduate degree. I pointed this out, I even made reference to my transcripts. 4. Course Breakdown and Registration Details 5. University Degree certificate 6. University Transcripts 7. Resume 8. NYSC Discharge Certificate 9. Police Clearance Certificate 10. Covid Vaccine Card (I was prepared) 11. Family Identity Cards Proof of Fund Section (Sponsor- Mom) 1. Sponsor Letter 2. International Passport 3. Birth Certificate of Applicant Showing Relationship 4. MyBankStatement 5. Tax Certificate 6. Invoices 7. Land Documents 8. Car Documents I haven’t paid tuition so no receipts. NOTE When I received the NSE request on May 25, I was like why nah... I already sent a letter stating I wasn’t interested. But my cousin in Canada convinced me that I should follow their instructions and write the exam. Now, I’m very happy I listened . I registered, read, and wrote the exam within a week. Reading within days was so stressful, but Thank God, I achieved a band 8. For the proof of funds section, I had so many doubts because I wasn’t sure if I established my sponsor well. My dad retired 7 years ago and my mom is a business woman. My family agreed to use my mom as the primary sponsor. The issue lied with the type of business my mom did. She was into farming and wholesale distribution of agricultural products and services. I had no idea of how to use her as a sponsor because she registered her CAC in 1992 but she never incorporated it. Her trade was very informal and there were few documents to submit. I almost employed the services of an agent for advice on her profile as I didn’t know what to do. I am dropping this here because I saw someone ask a question on this earlier and I hope this helps. 1. I told her to pay for personal tax to state government SIRS. I abandoned her CAC documents which required FIRS and incorporation. 2. I asked her to provide invoices of her business transactions. I used some from last year and earlier this year. 3. I dropped 6 months MBS of her transaction account. (CIC didn’t ask for 1 year in the NSE request, so i didn’t bother dropping it. I figured 6 months of her account was overwhelming as she performs daily transactions and her 6mth statement was already going to 100 pages. 4. I made sure her letter explained what she does and how much she was going to use to sponsor my education. She also stated that I was her only dependent and that her and my father were going to cover all expenses. 5. I dropped documents for all her assets and some of my fathers assets. I didn’t have time to do a price evaluation of property so I only dropped Survey Plans and Approved Plans. I didn’t drop tenancy agreements. 6. I was very truthful. Appreciations Glory to Almighty God. My application wasn’t perfect but he made it good enough for an approval in the VOs eyes. To My family, for their support. And finally, to everyone on this thread, especially those that posted their stories, the issues they had and how they tackled it. A huge Thank you to the gurus that took their time to answer questions and put them in an easy-to-follow format. My application was a DIY and without Nairaland Canada Visa Thread, this result may have not been possible. The type of joy I had seeing the approval this morning ehn, it deserves to be shared. I pray for positive results/approvals for all hopefuls on this platform.
|

I don’t think you can pay with naira oh.. it has to be from a dollar account in your name... as for the deadline expiring, if it does, just fill out the form again and they will create new details for you to pay with and a new deadline... And it’s a direct transfer, like you are transferring from one of your accounts to another, it takes about 24hrs or less to reflect if you do the transfer from your bank here before 11... Queenmama03: My people! Please I have a question about this CIBC student pay. I took the payment instruction to the bank this week but I'm yet to be debited. However I just received a notification from CIBC that I need to complete the payment by tomorrow. So I'm just wondering if I should ignore since I've already initiated the process at the bank. I'd appreciate anyone who has an idea on how this works. I'm paying with my naira account. Thanks |

From all you wrote, I think you where abit too hasty in your suspicions... Maybe you should have given her abit more time to get you the admissions, while insisting on what you want... Not all “agents” are bad... Also you hv already paid her money... Getting that money back might be almost impossible especially as you are the one saying, you dnt want to do again.,, dupsydooo: Good evening everyone This is a very long post and I think I need to voice out so that una go help me out. Before I stable for this thread I and my husband got to know a woman who said she can help us get pnp and she insisted on 700k and we told her we will pay 400 or 500 there about, which she agreed and insisted on part payment bef any service.... We transferred 200k to her immediately on 18th of may 2021and she acknowledge the receipt.... She came back after 5days saying blablabla about occupation in demand. And she suggested school we decided to go in for school, she even said there's a body that loan students tuition fee and later she came back with another story... For two weeks we didn't hear from her, she came back with IELTS expo that she will want us to rewrite In which we objected . She came back telling me that d woman will be the best to apply for school so that man go hussle, and that I will take another BA degree...but my instincts told me na lie. I joined this thread early June and I read from the first page till the present..... Everyone here contributed to the post I made here based on fashion.... And lekkibobo and others advices and drop schools to do research and I applied successfully...... Na so the so called agent came and said she's seen school NBCC to study business administration (diploma) and I objected Bec I have seen and read so much here....
I dropped voice notes that I don't have any idea about the course and will she realease any email and password she used and lo she sparked that we should send our account details that she will remove the money she spent. In which I have not seen something reasonable she's done...... Later she said she will apply on june28 after we messaged her.. fortunately the yeye business administration diploma she planned to apply for me has closed and I should send $100 to apply for another course which we equally turned down that she should send us our money that we are not interested again...she said we must apply by force Abi 200k no b small money...... She said she no fit drop shishi, that no b 200k go carry me go canada..
Biko what's your advice.........how do I handle this
Biko I need my money back |

Exciting.... congratulations again... I’m already typing my own in my head Lianna2020: Soft landing gist I booked Ethiopian airline for 1:40pm. I said my final goodbyes and moved to the airport. I got there by 9:30 thinking I’m late because of the story I read here as per queue but there wasn’t any. They didn’t allow my husband to enter and I had to tip them 500. We proceeded to where they were suppose to check my bag but the woman asked for money n we moved to declare agricultural product, I had just one bag and I paid 2,000.
Next was to get my boarding pass. My bag was 43kg and so didn’t need to pay but paid 1000 to wrap my Ghana must go that had my foodstuffs.
I was asked for my passport , enrollment letter , arrive can , hotel for quarantine and COVID-19test result.(everything was printed out so was easy to find).
Everything was so smooth until the man said my covid 19 go soon expire by the time I reach . Na that time I wan cry , pe village people u must show yourself o. I waited for 30 minutes plus, the sneakers self pain me join , I come Dey frown face, the old man slow join, come Dey read bible abi wetin to show my covid go expire. I sha pretended and maintained my calm.
After series of back and forth, I was allowed to move to where we have the computer so I can scan my pp.
Then I was issued my yellow card where I have to fill my form and my boarding pass . That’s how one man said let me help you fill your form , olodo me allowed him, when he wrote my first name then nairaland tip hit pe, this man wants money like this o. I told him, don’t worry o, I go fill am, I filled it myself and when I was about to return his biro, he said find joy for your brother now, chai I said to myself , upon say I don read landing gist here back to back , I still looseguard. I sha gave him 500 naira.
I moved to eat and told my hubby to take all naira as e don finish , pe no more tipping then moved to final e boarding gate where we have the immigration officers. First officer checked and asked for tip.by that time no more naira as I wouldn’t have thought , uniform people go want tip .I gave him 1 dollar and he said just one ? I said sorry o. I was now directed to the second person where he checked and asked my my Canadian address and Nigerian address, I gave my Airbnb addrsss and number and did my fingerprint and he asked for tip too before stamping my pp. I gave him 1 dollar n apologized that I didn’t think I’d need to pay in here hmmm. Then final final checks again, by that time I don tire , they checked my handbag and saw dried meat wey I wan Dey munch small small, the woman said I don see exhibit , settle your girl, for my mind, u no see shishi but I go sha giv u because na Poe Dey my mind like this.
Luckily I saw 1,000, I gave her and was seated for my flight . We boarded 13:00and moved around 2:00 against 1:40.
I thought WiFi was free but na only WhatsApp he work for so had to buy WiFi so I can watch my Korean film but WiFi was limited too so ended up watching nothing but was thankful I could chat, maybe it was the WiFi package I took. Their food was terrible sha but I had to eat , dried beef came to my rescue.
We landed Addis Ababa 20:49pm , thank God I had someone directing me as I no sabi where to where . After all checks ,I was asked for my pp, covid 19 test result, and booked hotel and I was allowed in .
We left for Dublin from Addis around 11:pm and it was a smooth ride, when I read in-house music, I had thought it will be a cool jam coming from one of those vent up there but no it was one boring set of songs you have to listen to(sad).
I had three seats to myself as no one was there so I was able to stretched n lie down well. By all means download movies and music, iPhone do me strong thing o, not even Netflix . I was now waiting for WiFi atleast let me chat now , that’s how the hostess said no WiFi (cries). Boredom pro max . Had to manage the dry songs n watch few interesting movies.
Then I was given declaration form , I kuku didn’t understand most of what they wanted but I sha filled something . The most confusing thing for me was the time difference, my time kept changing as weather chai.
We were served rice with chicken , Na so I no fit chop am because hmmm, I like eba and afang and so everything was strange. I told them to give me the dry bread n butter n water.
We got to Dublin around 6:35 am and some passengers dropped and we waited for 45 mins still seated for refilling n all that. We got to Toronto around 8:am(again time difference).
I filled my covid form on the system provided n was given a slip, proceeded to immigration, I was asked for passport , loa and school fees receipt, then he gave my study permit to me and went further by telling me about the 20hrs allowed for work .
I was there waiting for more question but none , I also waited for welcome to Canada , rather he said enjoy your stay and that was it.
Moved to take my connecting flight to Vancouver, that’s how they told me I must quarantine in Toronto, told them my mandatory hotel stay was booked in Vancouver and my flight would soon move , them no hear , had to cancel my booking and rebook in Toronto .
Please no matter where you going in Canada , as far as you stopping at Toronto, reserve your hotel in Toronto, that’s the only way they will allow you move further.
Did my covid test and was given a test kit to retest a week after and then we were taken to our hotel . Currently quarantining at Toronto before moving to my final destination.
For all PPR hopeful , I wish everyone nothing but good news. Amen. |

Ok now I understand your fear... it’s fine too........ LadyBlaq: A colleague of mine in a neighboring state died after taking the shot. It was said that he had underlying illness and as a result, he had blood clotting. Due to the unavailability of blood cleanser/thinner, he died before they could fly to Lagos to get one.
I have also seen people take the full dose and they are fine. I see it more like a 50/50 thing and I am not going to gamble on my life like that. After the death of my colleague, preconceived fear could even kill me before any underlying illness if any....I am too scared to take it. |

Background Check: commenced 5th March, 2021 Upfront Medical: 25th February, 2021 (submitted with my application on 4th Mar. But was only updated on 16th June same day after I resent it) Ordered GCMS Notes: May 25th Received GCMS Notes: June 24th (nothing much was in it). Was contemplating sending another one next week. Eligibility Review: commenced 24th June BVL/PPR: June 26 Going for a 1yr PG certificate. This was a 2nd Application. First application I did not include any of the above documents. I was a complete novice. (Lol). I didn’t even include my Tuition receipt or CAC or property docs, nothing at all, just my LOA, qualifications and passport that’s all. But thank God for Nairaland where I learned everything I needed to know for a successful application (especially, as a self-sponsored applicant). Also, since I didn’t include vital docs in my last application, I decided to overload them with documents this time around I keyed in to @justexcellent testimony of his approval and wrote out the same prayer points he used while I fasted earlier this year. God bless you all richly and establish us in our quests for destiny fulfillment. A big thank you goes out to @frankrobbn, @justmellow, @justexcellent (for that wonderful and inspiring testimony), @lekiboboe for your tireless constant help here, and of course to everyone new and old who has contributed to the success of this thread thereby helping fulfill destinies. God bless and reward you all abundantly in Jesus Mighty name. End Note: my love letter arrived while I was praying this morning by 4am. Didn’t realize it until I checked by 12noon thereabout. Didn’t know they send PPRs on Saturdays!!! INDEED WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST.
|
