I nor castigate, but I dey tell you IPOB weakness.
Now let me tell you something. IPOB members encompass people of all works of life. Some of them are not so enlightened and yet will engage in some technical discussions without knowing the appropriate answers yet argue blindly. It can be quite annoying sometimes but that doesn't call for insulting IPOB. The core stand of IPOB is the call for the freedom of Biafrans from Nigeria. For IPOB, Biafrans are made up of almost all the groups in SE and SS excluding the majority of Edo. IPOB still recognizes that not all the groups may accept their inclusion hence the request for a referendum to be conducted. There's no argument over it as IPOB has maintained that there's no compulsion in association. This doesn't call for insulting IPOB. Everyone can now see that IPOB has been right about Nigeria especially the plans of the current government. Only a foolish man insists on saving a man who claims he doesn't need saving. Try and put your thoughts in check to help yourself.
I wish you well as long as you don't wish evil on Igbos.

Bro I don't hate igbos.Na una dey first start threat and insult that is why I responded back that way.Let us keep insult out of this discussion.
Listen, I can have a discussion even with my worst critic but the moment you threaten me, all bets are off. Threatening Ndi-oshimili is threatening the whole Igboland and will not be taking kindly by a very proud Igbo man like me. Next time think properly before issuing threats to any Igbo man. I accept you're not Igbo and will relate with you as a non Igbo. In case you know any group of guys in Agbor thinking of attacking any Igbo businessmen whether from Enuani or SE, tell them they'll be inviting a rain of fire on themselves by such doing.
Continue to assert your uniqueness without showing hate towards Igbos and we shall gradually accept your people as non-Igbo and still relate cordially with them. Showing hate and bitterness is what we will never tolerate. Always have it at the back of your mind.
That said, we can continue our discussion in peace.

The same IPOB you castigate today will be the same group you'll run to tomorrow. By that time if we call you a fool you don't have to argue it. For now enjoy your naivety. I hope you survive to learn from your folly.

So you think you'll just wake up and attack non-Ika businesses in Agbor without any repercussion? You sound so dense mehn! Anyway, you're so boastful because your targeted victims consider you a kin. Now we see the level of your foolish hate, you'll be treated accordingly.

Ok. I know a lot about Ika people hence my insistence on knowing those Idoma names. Ndoki and Bonny in view. Look at the displacement from each other. Ogoni territory lies in-between. Can Ndoki really contest ownership over Bonny.
Ndoki land stretches into the middle of Ogoni and Ibibio territory by the Imo River which empties into the ocean. The Ndokis have featured prominently as an Igbo group in Bonny right from the days of her formation. Even king Pepples' queen was recorded to be of Ndoki origin and her kinsmen are often considered on serious matters by the Europeans when dealing with Bonny. Ndoki has a very high stake in Bonny and the evidences are too much to cover up.
The Ndoki Nwaotam masquerade is also revered in Bonny till date. The Akwete clothes from Ndoki are the most valued clothes used in Bonny. The list is too much. If you don't know the history just keep shut.

We proudly identify with your Igbo roots because we're Igbos and not pretenders hiding under the cloak of identity crisis to play politics with the equanimity of our history and pride as a people... the biggest betrayal a man can do to himself is to deny his own identity just to curry favor from others... it's an abomination and aberration of human dignity. The confusion galore in your Ika axis is really turning into comedy at this point, and you don't even realize how very vulnerable you people are becoming. The Benin people are on a vicious mission to immerse you guys through propaganda, subtle acculturation and historical distortions and I've seen lots and lots of my Ika brothers abandoning even their true Ika identity to shamelessly claim Benin origin... thus making the conquest of your people by the Benin appropriators and usurpers a very easy job... it's all a psychological war and they seem to be winning so far.

If I were you, I'll spend my time as an Ika man fighting against the Benin expansionist wave across Ika nation... instead of fighting and antagonizing the Igbos whose language, names, cultures you use with no problems from them despite your irrational identity crisis rhetorics... do you think the Benin people will be half as tolerant and understanding as the Igbos if majority of you guys denied them while answering their names, spoke a dialectical variant of their language, and practiced their culture and traditions? Go figure!
Do not mind Ndika. The time is very near when they will weep. We shall leave them behind in whatever is left of Nigeria after our departure and our immigration will be strict with anyone from that side. Bearing an Igbo name will be of no consequence to us by that time. Everyone has the right to claim distinctness at any given point.

You're not far from the truth. Asari can form his government as long as it will be a problem for the evil Buhari government then it's very fine. I think Ika people are on average wiser than Ukwuani in playing the Igbo and "not igbo" tag.... I have studied acquaintances in these two places... Many Ukwuani people will come out less subtle but still, they will try to hide their language and origin. Especially am,amongst the young ones.. They will try as much as possible not to speak their language. If another Ukwuani person greets them in the Ukwuani language, they will respond back in English or try to avoid speaking at all... If you ask them where they ar from, they will say "Delta"... It seems like they are ashamed of their language and identity. In Lagos, they will want to fit in and reject their own origin or keep quiet about it...
You see Ika on the other hand, when they need an Igbo man from their SE, they will act as Igbo as possible to get that favour... They are also slightly ashamed of their origin. Agbor people will never agree they speak Ika. They will deny it as much as possible... There is even a greater division within the Ika because the definition of Ika is not even clear amongst the clans.. People from Abavo seem also to have a different definition of the Ika language from the Agbors who claim that they do not speak Ika but Agbor.. It is also a big confusion.. Ika people are more confused than Ukwuani but when an Ika man wants something from the Igbos, they will do what Amaechi is doing and even fight you for denying they are Igbo. When they are amongst the Igbos, they blend in and accept the assumption of being Igbo but when they are in their natural habitat, it is a different case.

However, most Igbos from the SE and 95% of the Nigerian population do not even know who is Ika or Kwale.....Those on the forefront of Igbo unity are also divided on what to do with the situation because of those who are proudly Igbos... While some, like Igboid or Bkayy here, would rather you guys be cut off completely because they feel you do not play any strategic/life-saving role either geographically or politically to the future of the Igbo nation.
N:B. In recent years there seem to be a revolution in Ukwani, more and more of them are accepting that Igbo tag with pride.
There's no wisdom in being a snake. Personally, I prefer their current stance of coming out fully in disclaiming being Igbo. It helps us better in fixing them in the right category. Unlike Amaechi, every Igbo now knows Wike's stance and will never stand for him. Let the phobia come out in the open so we can respond accordingly and not the hanky-panky some of them are playing.

You are talking about Ishilove abi Ishihate. No need hiding her identity, she can't bite.

She is not alone. There are thousands of people like her from Ukwuani area.
She knows herself already. I prefer dealing with it individually than as a whole group as you can see what another Ndokwa girl wrote here. The Ukwuanis despite the sizable denials are far better than the Ikas. The majority of Ika leadership have adopted the separate identity already from my findings and are promoting it vigorously. The only thing that remains is to officially pull out of Anioma. However some communities among them may not go with it hence their hesitation. This is why it is not tactical painting everyone of them with the same brush.
The politics in Nigeria is very complex mostly due to poor reasoning of the majority of the people. See how people easily develop hatred for a neighbouring people due to unsubstantiated stories. Sometimes I wonder how people in this part of the world reason. Sometimes I'm glad the way fulanis are treating everyone to see if their dormant minds will wake up.

I think it is safe to say that we have reached an impasse. At this point, we can only agree to disagree.

Fulani are not Igbo enemies. Nope! Their agenda is not targeted towards Ndiigbo . It is targeted towards everyone else.
Our REAL enemies are down south and they are minorities. These lots have agendas targeted specifically towards us,and would exploit our continued antagonism towards Fulanis to achieve their agenda. We need to restrategize.
Between the Fulanis and minorities, the Fulanis are lesser evil.

But like I said, I can only be a voice in the wilderness crying. But in time, every Igbo will come to see what the likes of Ekwueme saw.
I just hope the damage to us will not be irreversible by then.

#Udo.
Let me clear you on the real problem down south. If we settle that problem, all other things can be fixed easily. That problem is the Ijaw problem. The Ijaws have been hating on Ndigbo for over a hundred years and the truth is the source of such hatred cannot really be justified. Igbophobia among the Igbo and Igboid of Rivers State can be traced to the Ijaw problem. Try and read up about the early politics of PH in the 1920s/30s to see that all was well in those areas except the Ijaw hatred. This is why I don't take any of the Igbo/Igboid bitterness to heart as I would do to a mortal enemy.
The Akwa/Cross people despite a plethora of tiny outbursts here and there are not among those we consider our enemies any day. I believe you will agree with me on this. The Urhobo/Isokos are a different set that I won't want to discuss for now except you insist on it.
Back to the Ijaws... Everyone knows that Eastern Ijawland specifically those in the Kalabari areas where all formed in the 1800s. This shows that those places were by and large uninhabited Igbo territories which only developed when Ijaw fishermen from Brass area came to fish. With the slave trade and palm oil trade growing, they decided to settle on those lands and because most of the fishing contingents we're young men, they mostly sought for wives among Igbos. No one harrassed them and the number of settlement grew. Efiks equally came to swell the number in those Kalabari area hence the name 'kalabari' derived from Calabar. Unknown to Igbos, these Ijaws view them in a negative light inspite of the hospitality they enjoyed from a larger group. If Igbos had attacked them those days, they would have fled back to the brass area from where they came. Majority of the wealth the Ijaw groups in Rivers enjoyed during those days was derived from their association with Igbos. The hatred started to manifest when slave trade ended and oil palm trade picked up in earnest. As the Europeans left the coasts and ventured inland, that spelt the doom for the economy of those Ijaws and the best way they could respond to it was to hate Ndigbo. Today they have oil yet the hatred never stopped imagine how tomorrow will be when the oil stops flowing. The strategic ones among them know that it is best in their interest to make peace with Ndigbo but the foolish ones think otherwise. We on the other hand gain nothing hating on the Ijaws. This doesn't mean we must not keep in check their shenanigans. We can do so by excelling and building our home ahead of others. In due time they will give up on such hatred. Imagine having a blue print of Igboland with all her constituent parts be designated with a particular function and being built to that effect! What story will an Ijaw tell any group that will make them listen to such tales? Let's build our house first, that will take care of all the land grabbers around. This is far better than harbouring hatred for a group of better neighbours.

Igboid in as much as you're making some sense here but that did not give you the right to insult ndokwa nation because of few outdated elements on Facebook. Is the ones on Facebook the whole population of ndokwa?

Ukwuani by ala eze Facebook page is an open forum that everyone can belong and type nonsense. If you can say the truth here you will agree with me that 80% of people on that Facebook page defend their igboness while only 20% reject the teg. The issue of identity crisis in ndokwa nation is on low now even the Benin history has no base in ndokwa nation now.
I am proud Igbo girl from ndokwa and we have many of Anioma youth both from ika down to ndokwa that are proud Igbo.

In our Anioma youth forum the only Anioma youth forum that represent Anioma youth worldwide almost 90% of us know our Igbo identity. Only few outdated Anioma people who hasn't travel down to east will say otherwise. Ndokwa nation are Igbo we have many Igbo's from east here in ndokwa and we have never had any misunderstanding with them because we see them as part of us.

Please with duo respect stop putting ikwerri and ndokwa on the same page because we are not.All our Igbo identity are still with us we didn't change any even ika people too but ikwerre added (R) to their names.
The identity crisis plaguing Ndokwas is quite painful to see and a good number of people from that axis don't bother to study history for clarity, rather they prefer to follow the Igbo phobic tales of their neighbours to denigrate their fellow Igbo people. We from the SE have been bearing the brunt mostly for all these years from all quarters yet we didn't budge. It's more painful when you claim fraternity from a supposed brother but without any consideration, that brother will openly throw you under the bus just so he can be seen in another light by our haters. The situation has seen a lot of people from the SE at present calling for abandoning such brotherliness and working with those who confidently identify with us. They earlier NdeUkwuani wake up and draw the curtain on this identity crisis, the better for them. We might understand if such was the story in days of ignorance but as for today where information is readily at everyone's finger tip, such nonesense won't be tolerated anymore. There's one popular moderator here from Ndokwa who doesn't waste time to cast aspersions on Ndigbo. Having tolerated such nonesense for long, some of has drawn the curtain on such personalities and will gladly cast her in the gutters if the situation presents itself because there's no doubt that she would do such if she finds herself in that position. The earlier such foolishness are dealt with the better for us all.

The only project GEJ started and completed in the SE is the Enugu International Airport. He didn't do any other worthy infrastructural development in the region. You don't really understand the mindset of these minorities. That's why you don't see them as enemies they are. You saw how Wike without any inhibition happily committed genocide in Obiigbo. You think that action came as impulse?

If you Belong to these minorities groups like I do. You wouldn't be surprised by Wike actions, and as you noticed, there was no condemnation of Wike actions by any Ikwerre body because he represents their default Igbophobic sentiments.
These lots, if they have nuke access, they will nuke Igboland without batting an eyelid, I'm not lying to you. They are not mere denials, they are real Enemies with raw hate towards. If you don't consider them real threat to our existence after Wike gave us a tip of the iceberg, then I don't know what to tell you.

The Hausa Fulani do not harbour any existential threat to us. They just want to politically subjugate us and they harbour same feeling towards everyone else. They really don't hate us.

But you see these minorities? Hmm! Egwu dikwa o!

See the first strategy in winning a war is identifying your Enemies, and after extensive research, I have no doubt the correct tag to put on these minorities.
I see it from another perspective. I agree with you to the degree of damage an average Ikwerre suffering Igbophobia can do but if asked what he stands to gain from such you'll be surprised that he'll have no answer which is quite different from what a fulani will do if asked a similar question. That's to tell you that the hatred is borne out of unsubstantiated stories and as such can be deconstructed. Contrary to your expectation, we're not oblivious of such I'll feelings from those quarters and we are not unprepared to return worst treatment for every action against our people from any quarter. We simply will not make it priority in the face of the catastrophy at present in Nigeria. Every wise man has a plan B. Wike has shown his hand and will answer for it. Other Ikwerres will learn from him. Everybody in Nigeria knows his crime against Ndigbo so there's no room for any false story tomorrow.
You're dreaming if you think the fulanis are only after subjugation. Like I said earlier, you clearly don't see the bigger picture.

Nnaa. In national engagement, there is no place for love. What exits is hate. Nations achieve peace and mutual respect by hate.

If you know I hate you as much as you hate me and would not hesitate to hurt you if try to hurt me, it kind of forces you to keep your hate in check and accept truce. In international Arena it is called MAD( mutually assured destruction).

Real peace and respect in international arena is not achieved by love, it is achieved by MAD which in essence is hate for hate.

Those of you preaching love towards these Igbophobic minorities are enemies of Ndiigbo and are not helping our cause.

If an Ika man knows there is a price to pay once he exhibit Igbophobia, he will try and keep his Igbophobia in check.
MAD like you used here is apt with proven enemies and not circumstantial denials. Issues of the 60s will not be used to judge today especially when there's hope for remedy. For us, MAD in Nigeria only exist among Ndigbo and fulani (Including their staunch allies). The minorities around us despite their dislike/loathsomeness or (hate: not my choice word) don't have the MAD situation between us because there's room for improvement. You can't have such mindset all around you when you don't have control over your own territory. That's suicidal. Israel could only be in such relationship with her neighbours because he controlled her own territory and even at that, she was wise to know the boundaries of her claims at every given period. In the 1967 Arab/Israeli war, the Israelis after beating back the Arabs and capturing other new areas still strategically left the total capture of Jerusalem that's why that mosque still stands in that place. It was a strategic decision because they wouldn't be able to defend Jerusalem as at the time. But today, you can see how through Trump they've been able to colonize Jerusalem and to gradually restore her as a capital. Strategy and tact matters a lot. Most of these Ignorant groups are just blind to the reality of Nigeria. The day it will dawn on them, they will weep for their foolishness.

Sufferingboy:
My late father was a life during that war,our villages were killed by biafrans, who nor go nor know. They only way we can join biafra is when you have a proper arrangement like resource control, respect for us a small distinct people.Oshimili igbos(asaba indegens) even understand respect than their brothers across Niger.IPOB think it is by rewriting fake history, and insulting us?
You guys should learn to play politics without bitterness.Okowa whose ncestor ehiade came from benin don dey use igbo play politics because of vote, okowa want to be president but if nor reach he hand he will go back to senate, from insiders. He needs igbo vote.
I wonder where all these lies are coming from. How can Igbo soldiers attack IkaIgbo villagers? I wonder the level of lies that were formed just to paint Biafra nay Igbos bad. Do you know that even Owa people contributed money for the advancement of Biafra? It was on record. Izu Anioma wrote about it just recently when they countered Lauretta Onochie's evil group that came to spew trash.
Have you ever made an independent research about the events of that time?
I know a lot of Igbophobia exist among Ndika yet I hesitate to reciprocate because that will be wasteful expending energy when a bigger problem is imminent. The Igbo nation is already great with or without Ika people so the choice is all before your people.
It's good to dream big but not with deception. Okowa today claims to be Igbo and we are watching him and the entire Ika people. We are seeing your subtle moves and will continue watching the deception but everything got a limit. You don't have to pretend to be Igbo to get Igbo support. Be proud of your ancestry and let people show you support on that basis rather than going the snake way. The same way Sunday Oliseh openly told everyone that he's not Igbo you guys should continue to stand by your distinctness. It helps to clarify things. Just remember that we also have the right to claim our distinctness at every given time so don't cry wolf if it doesn't favour you.

Igboid:
The main actors in upper Rivers, ie Ogoni, Ogba, Ikwerre and even Ekpeye are more Igbophobic than the Ijaws, ie lower Rivers.

I belong to their Facebook pages and monitor the level of their anti Igbo sentiments.

The best is for Ndiigbo to stay off the politics of Rivers state and focus on our businesses. We shouldn't be participating in their elections. It should be a day of relaxation.
Then when the election is done, we rush and go congratulate the winners, promising them support.
Smart answer I must say. That's exactly what the whole Rivers group desire that we from the SE do to everything that pertains them. If we do so, we shall still win in the long run that's if Nigeria survives for two more decades which I don't see her survive. Whatever be the case, those upper Rivers will still return to us in the SE if we develop our land in the interim. They will be forced to come to the SE for opportunities and how we will treat them will determine if the relationship will be mended or further messed. This is why we don't subcribe to your loathing for loathing against the Igboids in the SS.

Armaggedon:
Now, let me make it clear.

I have tried to understand what you want but couldn't. You are so much worried about the behavior of other Igbo groups but you are not interested in the cause and it's remedy. You're not even interested in Igbo unity and by all definitions, not an Igbo nationalist. You don't even support Biafra, and your definition of proud Igbos shrinks whenever you're tiggered.

You don't support support Biafra, you don't support pan Igboism. All you're interest in is how to hate them since they hate us.

I think your problem is more of paranoid personality disorder. Stop quoting me and see a jerk!
Igboid is an intelligent guy but not so good in politics. He's a type of man that will pick up every quarrel with women around him bring and as such can't control multiple women if his life depends on it. He fails to realize that chopping off every infested (not infected) part of your body is not a smart way of staying whole and healthy. Some of his criticisms are quite correct whereas most of his suggestions are too simplistic in the larger scheme of things. He doesn't know that in a psychological battle, you win by creating headche for the opponent simultaneously as strengthening your own self. For him, any attack should be defended... He doesn't know the principle of using your enemies strength against himself in a scuffle. Just leave him.
We need him though to talk sense into some of our straying brothers and cousins. Nigeria is gone already and political shiftings are happening at present. Do you cast your net or do you use a hook and line?

Yes! Ndiigbo voting GEJ was a stupid thing and we should fully regret it.
You and I know that if the roles are reversed, those minorities will not stand with us.
I already showed 1979 and 1983 presidential elections results where Zik got least votes from all Southern minority states.

Supporting GEJ was a big mistake. If I knew what I know today then. I would have kicked against it seriously.
The likes of Ekwueme kicked against because he know the minorities well and was a participant in the 1979 and 1983. He went about Igboland preaching against Ndiigbo supporting GEJ, they were supposed to have a conference on this topic in Concorde Hotel Owerri when GEJ used Ohakim to lock up the hotel and sent soldiers who harassed Ekwueme and other Igbo elders in the venue.
Imagine an Igbo sitting president doing this to minority elders, the type of dust it would raise. But we stupidly kept quiet and Uwaechue led Ohanaeze forced Ekwueme to drop his antagonism towards GEJ.

I look back now, and I can only shudder at how useless Ohaneze Ndiigbo were. Ekwueme was the wise man.
You see, when you're very vast in understanding you tend to make a better choice when faced with two bad choice. GEJ remains the best choice between him and Buhari. Ask the Yorubas currently. Clearly, Ndigbo didn't gain much from GEJ but the little gains today have shifted the burden of conscience to those who dislike us. Indirectly we gained much from choosing him. See Nigeria today. Our recent history for us is filled with positives and will grant us the victory we desire in the nearest future. The petty politics of joining issues with our neighbouring groups in the Nigerian jungle is not smart from a bigger viewpoint.
The GEJ/Buhari situation is similar to the upper/ lower Rivers politics on the gubernatorial level. With the way things are, what's your advice on which Ndigbo should support?
