afube:The OP is very dumb. IPOB is a freedom movement that sprung up as a child of necessity against the evil meted on people of the old Eastern region. They were and still very peaceful despite the numerous killings the fulani controlled Nigerian Army have visited on them. During such occasions, many young Igbo men have been killed without anyone being held accountable. Almost every month there's a news about a case of a hustling Igbo youth killed by any of the security personnel most times unprovoked. Do they think that the youth will take all these lying low forever? We warned them but they wrote us away. Today, the youth are fed up and have decided to fight back. The multitude of roadblocks that litter Igboland is beyond imagination. Not even conflict torn North East has such amount of roadblocks with the attendant exploitation of road users day-in day-out. With the excruciating economic situation currently in Nigeria, it's not surprising to see the level of revolt as witnessed today. If the Nigerian government want peace, let them dismantle those unwanted roadblocks and give the people of the region a breathing space. Any person speaking otherwise is an enemy of the region and doesn't deserve any respect. |
AdakaBoro8:Good. You have my blessing. |
mekaboy:Destruction will be brought upon the North West especially Kano and the seat of the caliphate. The oil that finances your muscle will be out of your reach soon and you will run back to the sahel with your tail between your legs. |
AdakaBoro8:You don't know what you're talking about. How much of your land can support the agriculture to manage an Ijaw nation by that time? Any ways it's your problem to worry. You can promote your Ijaw or Niger Delta republic now. |
BKayy:Exactly. You'll never see them when Igbo is insulted or attacked. They don't defend Igboland in any way. You know them so well. |
BKayy:Exactly. You'll never see them when Igbo is insulted or attacked. They don't defend Igboland in any way. You know them so we'll. |
Eastlink:You're totally out of your mind. You're like a frog in the boiling water who can't sense the gradual increase in temperature simply because he's too familiar with water. You don't know that Nigeria is dead. You're pathetic? |

Then continue to suffer in poverty until the oil finishes and you have nothing to fall back on. No good land for agriculture, no good water bodies around due to pollution and no friendly neighbours either. See how you can survive by that time. |
MajorLeaguePlay:That’s a topic of discussion after Nigeria disintegrates. Until then, we move. |
thebosstrevor1:You don't know Igbo history so just shut up. |
The Ekumeku war and Aro war were not exactly why the British government disliked Igbos. Other ethnic groups in Nigeria resisted the British too only to be defeated after killing some British miliary men. The Yorubas resisted in Lagos and Ijebu area. The Ijaws fought bravely in Akassa and brass. Igodomigodo warriors equally tried their bit in the 1897 attack on Benin city. Most oppressors or conquerors prefer a few series of battle in a well defined war after which the victor will enjoy his victory and occupy the territory for a life time at least. The British had records about the nature of many ethnic groups of Nigeria right from their records of slave behaviours during that ill-fated period. The British noticed that while the Igbos were very good at understanding the duties demanded of them and delivering the expectation of the slave masters, that was only short-lived because soon the Igbos were prone to rejecting enslavement in perpetuity. They mostly rebelled and flee to mountaineous regions or they attack and kill their masters or in some cases commit suicide. Before the middle of the 18th century, Igbos were highly valued slaves but with the notice of this pattern, the demand for them started to reduce from the end of that century. Those who still wanted Igbo slaves knew they would have to give them a more dignified job inside the houses and not the fields. The European anthropologists who visited Igboland in the 19th century wrote that the Igbo country is a land of free men where every man is a master in his own house. After the Berlin conference, the British moved with their military might to forcefully cement their control over the Nigerian territory, they used all the available information to know how to deal with every area. After the few fights with the indigenous people, it was easy for them to administer those people but Igboland was a different case. The British didn't know what to do and coupled with, Igbos always challenged everything they introduce. In the first few decades of the 20th century, educated Igbos dominated the push for British removal in the affairs of Nigeria. Theophilus Akunna Wallace Johnson, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Alvan Ikoku, Akanu Ibiam and a host of others were a torn in the flesh of the British. They were visibly agitated that the British without invitation were lording and exploiting the indigenous people of Nigeria and questioned the legitimacy of such openly. Akunna Wallace was imprisoned many times(he's of Sierra Leonian origin). Zik had too many encounter with them such that they refused to build more schools and infrastructures in the East. They only built PH Port because they needed a quicker route to steal the coal from Enugu. The Enugu coal uprising and Aba women's riot added more problems to the British. The Warrant chief system they introduced was rejected and they got frustrated. When they found oil around Owerri and other parts of the SE, they wanted to start the exploitation but Zik refused demanding that the host communities must be accepted as the owner of those resources with documents signed to that effect (I accidentally saw this information while researching online). This frustrated them further and they decided to move outside the known Igbo territory to search for oil until they struck one in Oloibiri. These are the reasons which they detested Igbos politically. We gave them no breathing space throughout their stay. Compare it with how we welcomed the missionaries in Igboland. There's no place European missionaries found hospitality like they got from Igbos. We are never slaves to anyone as a nation and will never be to anyone. Igbo murum, ekelem unu. |
thebosstrevor1:Philip Igbafe is not Igbo and this book he authored is a brilliant one that sought to correct the wrong historical categorization the colonialists painted the war. It was largely unconventional so they felt they could discredit and ensured it wasn't discussed in Nigeria's politics. I've read the book from page one till the end. You clearly underestimate Igbos but the near future will shock you. We detest enslavement by any means and will everything possible to fight against it. Watch and see. |
Biodun556:What about your Dassault Dornier alpha jets? What about your Chengdu F17 jets? Continue your tales but we know the drill. |
If the current fighter aircrafts the Nigerian Army has have not been used against the so-called bandits, what's the guarantee that these ones are bought to be used against them? All lovers of freedom should beware of this order. |
kingthreat:Lmao, it's better for you to know your mate. |
sulaak:You're very correct. They will do everything to avoid fighting on multiple fronts. As they focus on the Yorubas currently, you'll see how nice they'll be to Igbo politicians. Is it because they love Igbos or even those politicians? Never. It is just a game for them. Mind you they won't give any presidency to those Igbo politicians. That's outside their game plan. Rather, they'll orchestrate a coup. Every move they will be making at present is to increase their hold in the south. The earlier the entire south gear towards an open confrontation of monumental proportion, the better their chances of getting a peaceful division. This is the situation. |
A business minded person will always want to build a structure to further his business and that explains why Ndigbo still put up structures but the reality today is that the rate of putting up such structures have reduced incredibly. Which Igbo will want to build in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa with the Boko Haram menace? Who will still want to build in the current troubled North West? Certain structures may be put up but generally, the level of solid buildings have diminished. Millions of Igbos have left the north too going back to the SE and SS including the SW and outside Nigeria. The former relaxed atmosphere in the north is no more hence such social activities that encouraged migrating to the north is no more. Igbos used to build Town Halls in the major cities in the north but if you mention it today, you'll looked at scornfully. The current era of the destruction of alcoholic drinks by Hisbah is another thing that will see thousands of Igbos leaving the sharia region of the north and so it shall continue until Nigeria officially collapses. All the northerners here saying Igbos still do business and build in the north while they have a point are not really saying it with a good mind. For them, it is just to paint a picture of normalcy to hoodwink those who don't know the real state of affairs. Business has gone very low in the north and the only way they think they can survive is to practically grab and control the south by every means so they can start taking money from southerners by every means. This is why the current cabal are mindlessly putting only their people in positions of authority. You can see the number of core northerners that flooded the south during the lockdown period. Nothing much economically is happening in the north currently. It is a fight for survival currently in Nigeria. Many more Igbos will leave the north in less than 4 months from now and it will make headlines to confirm what I've written here. Igbo si na; anaghi akoro ochinti na agha esu. |
kingthreat:Stop lying, I did get under your nerves hence your insult which I didn't take seriously. Lmao... If only children could talk you would be surprised how many times they insult their irresponsible mothers shortly before or after suckling. Why do some babies bite the nipples they're suckling? Nigeria deserves to be divided because she has destroyed millions and will still destroy more if she isn't stopped today. |
Oshigun:Didn't want to respond on similar posts as this one you made with regards to Igbos but this particular post forced me to comment. I still know the fulani north remains the problem but I have to talk sense into your head so you don't lose track of the situation at hand. There are millions of Yorubas in the north and they are well known by everyone over there. Most times, Yorubas have areas they dominate just like the Igbos. Both Yorubas worship centres are predominantly visited by Yorubas and everyone know them to belong to Yorubas. There are specific businesses dominated by Yorubas and they're well known. Do you really think that Yorubas after spending over 100yrs in the north won't be easily recognizable by the people over there? You better wake up and face reality. Now this is the projection of these fulanis. They expect Igbos and Yorubas to have an altercation through whatsoever attack they launch so we can be divided and give them the opportunity to achieve their aim. You must think in that line and not give them the chance. This quit notice they issued is a ruse and peradventure some touts among them decide to start the attack, they will attack every tribe including people from the middlebelt within their locality. The response down south will be explosive and the international community will be forced to intervene as all the Nigerian security apparatus won't be able to manage it. This isn't in the plan of the fulani elites and they would move to prevent it soon. The point is that you shouldn't be too quick to think Igbos will be worst hit. We don't wish the death of anyone before Nigeria is divided. It can be done peacefully and should be done peacefully for the interest of everyone. If Nigeria goes to war before it divides, the fulani territory will not be able to rebuild all they've built with stolen wealth from the south. We know this too well. |
kingthreat:It's not my fault that masturbation is all you could think of in a political discourse. Next time keep your satire to yourself and disprove in clear terms. I succeeded in getting under your nerves as I desired. Now go look for your mates and chatter with them. As for spending naira, who cares about that tissue paper? Your highest denominator cannot even cook a pot of soup. Non of your music artists flaunt it in their music videos which shows how worthless it is. Park one side dude. |
kingthreat:Then you better stop masturbating and gather the balls to go chaik a chick. Face your greatest fear and perhaps you may survive it. Your 'one Nigeria' is gone. Your people can still survive without sharing a country with mine. |
kingthreat:Is that your favourite past time? |
onuman:Garba Shehu has told everyone that their Tucano fighter jets will soon be delivered. It's an open secret but only few people got the message. The earlier the war starts the easier it is to win them. Meanwhile, oil will soon stop flowing to the fulani territory. Alas, those who said fulanization (islamization) isn't conceivable in this era have finally eaten their words. |
So what next... stupidity Akintoye and Sunday Adeyemo does not represent me as a Yoruba man
Make a video and show your disapproval. Until then, try to stop the killings of your fellow Yorubas by the fulani herdsmen. |
kingthreat:The consequences will be felt all round and after the dust has settled, the remnants from middlebelt to the south will be free at last. That's the end of the story. |
Biyonce:Lmao. What's the meaning of DSS? |
imagrg:Don't talk about peace when you've been silent in the face of injustice. |
ShaqFu:Don't mind them. As they 'ferment' trouble, let the others ferment burkutu. |
OjukuwuHusband:LMAO. The death of fulanis 'one Nigeria' is a must. All the bland elixir you're infusing will not save her. |
gidgiddy:That's the truth most Ijaws on nairaland don't know. Some Igbos too don't yet get the politics the supporters are using against old Eastern region. As long as Igbos and other ethnic groups of the Niger Delta continue to disagree and mistrust one another, both sides continue to lose. Imagine the volume of trade PH, Calabar and Warri would have controlled if they worked together! The job opportunities that would have been created would be so large that unemployment rate would be low. As long as the bickering persists, fulanis will continue to steal from all and allow the destruction of the environments through pollution is killing the indigenes of the land. The villagers will spend the little money they have on treating themselves from the numerous infections that come from polluted environment leaving them in abject poverty. Crime will continue to soar leading to more deaths. This has been the lot of the lower Niger and Delta region from the 80s till date. The Igbos of the upper Niger escaped the situation by emigrating in droves and it paid them heavily. Today, they've even gone internationally scattered into the four corners of the world and God blessed them yet they still remember that there's no where like home. This is why majority of them are behind IPOB. It is our desire that all the ethnic groups of the Eastern region team up and push for their extrication if not for love, at least for the sake of necessity. |
Nigeria's disintegration is very near more than you think. |
DEBJOCH1:It's so easy for those group because they don't bother about the law due to their knowledge of Nigeria being a lawless place. Just know how to get out of any net in case you're found out then you won't have to bother about the law or license. The Nigerian system prefers a dead Nigerian to a living one. Hospitals don't treat injured Nigerians unless money is presented because they don't value the life of that person. The Nigerian security men including the police find it so easy to shoot a citizen for as small as R200 because they don't value the life of the citizens. They won't shoot a foreign national like that if they know him to be a non-Nigerian. |
