nice post Sir. I already have the knowledge. I will allow beginners to ask question.

But a major challenge is the fees of most instiutions. So I advice they look for schools with less amount and high infrastructure.

Let me give you a little assignment. I have made over 10,000 posts on NL. Go through them and you will see the kind of work I do.

Maybe you run a danfo business on the side, so that is why you made reference to it. Or maybe your relatives are the 29 year olds sitting at home, which is why you know so much about such things. Who can tell?

I have offered my advice. You can discard it, because your brain is too shallow to comprehend it. Stick to your 150k. Because that is the low level at which you can operate.... undecided
[/s]

Give me a link to your job, let me see. or you give me a link to the post that explains your job. I am a developer with a major bank, so you should know how much I rake in monthly. let me leave that to your imagination. cheesy

Oya give me a link to your Job fast!! Old fowl

The 150k you are boasting about, is the monthly pay of a junior officer who is 4 scales below me.

So I have been talking to one small neophyte... with chicken change in his pocket! shocked No wonder....you were just misyarning all this while! shocked

My last word to you: learn humility. Do your research thoroughly. Get adequate data and statistics on a subject, before writing about it, so that you do not mislead others, and earn a poor reputation for yourself. undecided When people correct you, accept it with thanks and move on. That is the only way to grow.

Shut up! Correct him. How many articles have you written here? That is how we know illiterates! To slap your bald head just dey hungry me.

nice post BTW. Exactly!!!

I am currently learning Mobile App Development, and it looks so so promising. I think the era of learning ICT for a huge sum of money has ended!!

I suggest you all should come and study Mobile App where I am currently studying. Even as a student, they have allowed us to gain work experience by working on a project they have with a bank.

Career / Re: How I Went From 70k Salary To 150k Within 6 Months Without Connections. by Fela40: 4:10pm On Nov 20, 2017
Bubewilson:
Congrats OP. Yes there are no jobs in this country, but when you walk the streets you might be surprised at the offers that will come your way. Provided you are convincing enough you have something creative to offer and not just your school certificate. Such jobs are comforters and a good way to start life.

I have gotten two jobs by simply walking about from one office to the other asking for openings and dropping my CV where accepted without knowing any person. Doing this, I found that Security men at the gates are one of the most powerful people in an organisation for an outsider. In my current job, I was quickly turned down by the Security man. But being someone who have been involved in Sales and Marketing for a couple of months, I pressed on and he bulged and even told me who to meet. The rest is me earning a better salary than where I was coming from even with better conditions of work.

To me, it all comes down to God's grace and Favour. But One has to make some effort for ones luck to shine.
Congrats OP.

Thank God you can testify.

To those who sit with their computers all day shouting "There are no jobs", just know you are deceiving yourself.

There are jobs, but it is for those with skills.

Career / How I Went From 70k Salary To 150k Within 6 Months Without Connections. by Fela40: 3:49pm On Nov 20, 2017
This isn't a hoax. I am not here to sing my own praises. I will be frank as possible. Can you paint the picture of those young boys who left home and ended up in Lagos without any plans for survival? (I am not asking you to take such risk) That was me about 9 months ago.

Searching for jobs through the streets of Lagos and working in building sites just to feed a day opened my eyes to the reality on the ground. I already shared my testimony of my "Grass to Grace" story (Which many people felt twas a lie), but I am not giving up.

After I discovered that self-development (Certifications) was one of the ways to climb to the top in Nigeria, I wasn't looking back on acquiring any possible one out there. My friends always called me wired, but look at me now.

6 Months ago I was employed by a firm that took me off the streets and placed me on a cool salary. I appreciate them a lot and I wish them well.

Just on Thursday, I got an Email that made me resume at my new workplace today and guess what, I am actually leading my unit smiley.

When I saw the salary level, I didn't know whether to smile or to cry.

I am the new Brand and communications manager of a firm in Lagos state. I was hired because I had knowledge of Web Designing and extensive knowledge of Digital Marketing (so I heard).

Who said God isn't good? Thanks to all those who introduced me to ICT. and Thanks to all the meaningful thread on Nairaland.

God bless us all. Abeg follow me dance ooo cheesy
