Either right or wrong, its really not in ur place to judge that, even in Italy and USA where deh have high cases, ppl still go to work. The reason I didn't do it is left personal and I don't think this is the first time I am bringing an offline job here, why didnt u ask for reason then. Boss take em jeje, we go deh alright las las Bros na play i dey ooo... Shuuu!!! Someone can not come and play with you again self. tunlapapa: This is our pal Dru still doing the orthodox way of running a business without insurance. Claiming Uber business pays him well yet you can't insure a business that pays well. No wonder he can't do his business in the states he claimed he makes money from, they make it compulsory for vehicles to be insured.
https://www.nairaland.com/5760981/richard-jacob-uber-driver#87853452 Sir it seems you work with a reliable insurance company that's even if there's any. Let's assume you have, please tell us your experience with having a minor issue like this one Dru23 presently have or an accident leaving one of your headlamps bad plus damage on a 3rd party, how did your insurance company resolve the issue with you or for you? Insurrance companies in Nigeria that looks for ways to deny customers when problem arises na him you won use compare insurrance abroad? What can 5/10% of a property do to replace a car of 2/30m within the first 6months of insuring such property in case anything happens to it? Most if not all insurance companies in Nigeria are not reliable. |

chillex8: Not totally true. Are you saying those who borrowed money from the bank shouldn’t pay back cos of government shutdown? What then do you suggest the young man do? Proper solution or give suggestions rather than giving the subject a false hope. The government is doing her best to curb the spread of the deadly disease by asking her citizen to seat at home what makes you feel an employer of labour or a banking Institute can't be sued for charging his employee/debtor to go against the government's orders?? Like peeps4u rightly resounded it, neither gloves nor facemasks can either protect one 100%. Even self, the street is empty, no request Coming in at all. Riders are even more careful and more informed becuase 95% riders have this notion drivers are illiterates and dont want to associate with them this period. Its only bolt that's having little or few request coming in this period and at the end of the day you'd noticed going out doesnt even worth it apart from the free road. I know its difficult sitting at home even when you dint have money to feed but lets all try as citizen to play our own part to help the spread of this disease as we also pray for God's mercy to make it end than expected. detailed report on covid deaths in Italy
this basically will give you a clue of what can happen in nigeria but also we shouldnt forget that life expectancy rate in Nigeria is around 55 years old
lot of young people in Nigeria suffering from kidney problem, hbp, diabetics, hiv/aids and others
this virus could wipe out a whole generation, that is why you all need to be careful
this is pure survival of the fittest. From the stats I can say I have 80-95% chances to survive the dieses that's even been infected. I've never been diagnosed neither had any in my lineage been diagnised of any of the diseases listed. According to scientific research about the corona virus people with blood group O have great resistance to the virus and people with blood group A suffers the most attack. My blood group is O+ with A genotype. the only issue people like us 've is with malaria but with mosquito net and fleets we r good to go. So I'm going back to work. Dancing mood activated |

It means you have the intention of working even with the advise to sit at home. You should have simply dropped of the car with him instead of asking him to cut down remittance. InfinityEstates: Ok, so let me start with mine...
FIRST RIDING EXPERIENCE It was on my court wedding day in 2018. I didn't have a car. I was supposed to use one of my friends car to convey my wife and some few friends to IKOYI REGISTRY. The car 'miraculously' refused to start that day and we were stranded. I had to rush out to the express to get a taxi to convey us. Got to GIG and saw some taxis there. Dude charged 8K, priced to 6K (without AC o).
My ignorant self hadn't heard or understood how UBER/BOLT worked!
After the ceremony, we were outside the registry and my confused self was thinking about how we would trek from the registry to the park to get a bus to Ajah.
A voice from someone just said, 'Why don't you get an UBER?'
In my mind, worst case scenario, UBER price shouldn't be more than 10K from the registry to Ajah. I quickly downloaded the app and requested the ride.
The guy came and I asked him, "Please how much would you charge?" (I definitely didn't notice the estimate)
The guy smiled and told me that it was after the trip that the price would be determined.
In my mind, God abeg o...
The trip started and it was a very smooth ride. No traffic, AC chilling, friendly driver...
I enjoyed the ride, but all through I thought about the money in my pocket.
"GOD please, this should not be more than 10K".
The trip ended, and guess what?
The price was N2,500!!
I was so happy that day. I was like so I could be this comfortable in a taxi at a reasonable rate??
That was the first of so many rides later till I got my car... What a lovely and hilarious experience . That feeling okemute gets on his first day to parish but waking up to find out he was only dreaming. |

XGhost: One night years ago...
Time was like 11.30 at night, living at Dolphin Estate then. I took a car from oworo going to obalende, I tell driver 50 Naira o, I didn't hear a response. We were 2 in the car, the other person was in front. After Yaba turnoff, driver asked for money and I handed him 50 bucks, oga say na 100, we drag am o, he said he told me when I entered. We sha no gree, I do agidi come down at adeniji. I stood there for like 10 mins, no bus stopped, na so I begin leg am. Approaching Olowu, na so I see this human form covered in white coming from afar. Me nightcrawler of life, I no shake, got closer, figured it was a woman... Next thing she goes bang in the middle of the road and continues walking facing the few oncoming vehicles, mama no move, na so the cars de swerve to avoid her...
As soon as I passed her I ran like the devil was chasing me... Telling myself, God no go let me see bad thing... Stopped when I got to running when I got to sura... Looked back and she was calmly walking back to the side of the road. What more do I expect from an xghost. |

peeps4u: Yes, I also faulted felicity on that. My earlier post faulting is still on this thread.
I just had to respond to some posts where guys are trying to justify kissing or having sex in a car as rider's right. Yes I know it's a dangerous zone to Even stop or kick somebody out in the middle of the night, but bro no where is a safe haven to live. Where people not in church worshipping their creator when a gas farm erupted? Don't arm robbers visit people in the comfort of their home killing able n armed security men to gain access? Don't banks get robbed with securities and cctv cameras in check?. A dieses all the way from a village in China is threatening the human race all around the world just within few months. Ask me where safe? We r all safe by grace. Simple. Me I've changed a flat tire on 3MD while driving a rider from ladipo market to lekki around 8/9pm. I even took time to washed my hands after I was done before I continued. Bad things happens to good people, true; but as for me I've got great grace and I'm not taking advantage of it. |

sexylassie2: So if riders are acting pornography in a driver car, driver shouldn't stop and tell them that his car isn't a studio, they continue doing it even after warning, driver shouldnt act and give punishment.
I think most drivers here are the cause of riders bad behaviors, if you have rules in place nobody will break it because of the consequences.
When you reward bad behaviors, people disrespect you and take you for granted.
Next time, those riders will learn not to disrespect people.
They will tell this painful story to their friends and families, those ones too will tell their own friends and families, next time they will behave well.
Most Nigerians learn in pain that is what i have observed.
Isn't it in this country, where someone will steal and they will call their family members to come beg you, you forgive them, the next month, they still do it. If their is no punishment for a bad behavior, expect that bad behavior to continue. God bless you sexy! Court!! Dismiss!!! No objection is allowed. My case is settled. I'm done. |
