Though i like the fact you're doing your findings very well but it doesn't change the fact that what ever car you end up buying still boils down to the condition of the car b4 u bought it, how well you drive and maintain the car. Just settle your mind on one, buy, maintain a good driving and maintenance culture. |

Bigleaf1006: You should be fine as long as vehicle is in good condition.
Fuel economy is fantastic being a Nissan.
Replacement parts are readily available,it's the non American version of Nissan versa.
Has more leg room than the Corolla, no oga pls adjust your seat all the time. Hated that a lot when I was using Corolla. You just finish coro with that punch line.

Hoephase: I agree with your line of argument loyalty and that you can't do anything to satisfy someone that isn't loyal.
But have you considered that there could be more to your example than sex? For women sex is more than sex unlike me. Which is why you need have a good understanding of your partner. That mutual understanding is something I think most couple lack in our society. People may date but given our culture and norms there issues that never get discussed and we don't really date properly in sense of getting to know someone better..
Gabm they are married and before you say congratulations they throw kids into the mix and the everyday life takes a toll on them and some start seeking solace and solitude in other people codedly. My dear dont make the mistake believing you can know somebody well enough. Listen, havent you heard of the adage "change is constant"? Conditional, situational and environmental change are all directly proportional to human beings. So no matter how many years you date your gf or bf or even are married to your spouse you never can know them well enough especially women. Women change like weather. |

Sixfeetbelle: And how many of these men do you reckon know female nature?
What I'm saying isn't a propaganda. If you're good in bed, it hardly matters if you marry a virgin or not cause you know how to satisfy a woman, you know how to turn a virgin into your personal whøre. Most of these men who want virgins as wives are not good in bed, so in their feeble mind, they believe that because she's a virgin, she won't know she's being shortchanged in that department. My 'propaganda' is to warn them to up their game. Simple. To some extent You re right but stop discouraging keeping virginity till marriage. The facts remains, it doesnt matter how much you satisfy a woman if she wants to cheat on you she'll still cheat. I've had cases after several ramps of sex and the lady even going on a deep sleep waking up, took a shower the next moment she was in the next guy's room having another ramp of sex. Bottom line, there's nothing any man can do to satisfy a woman weather sex or any other thing. A woman decides whom and when to be loyal and faithful to a man and sex is not even part of the reasons. |

phranco: Thank you all for your inputs and suggestions, I really appreciate. Well, the reason I want to put it on 25k is to avoid remittance stories from drivers, then secondly I will be doing maintenance myself with a dedicated mechanical , I will buy oil and filters myself, send to the mechanic when its due, the drivers will go and park it for my mechanic to service. But judging from you guys input , I think you HP is better than rentals. I may be starting with two Honda civic cars to taste the waters. Thanks guys Two isnt bad at all. What ever option you go with should be ok but if you opting for rental don't go for Honda since you have a plan of selling it after 2yrs. Honda cars have a very poor resale value when compare to Toyota cars. Lastly, I would advice that you hold in for like 2-3months after the lockdown and the pandemic in general. Because there'll be a serious recession across the globe once this pandemic is over so it will be good for anyone to hold onto their capital for a while and see how government policies and every other section including the market plays out before going on to invest in any business. Any which way bros I wish you good luck! |

Sensible and Patriotic Nigerians were calling people's attention to Buhari's anticedents in 1983, But tribalism, ethinicity and other parochial sentiments blinded a lot of Nigerians, now every Nigerian is in for deep shit.
Just look at five years Buhari was handed power, the entire Nation is in chaos, recession, depression is the order of the day. No economic c blue print five years after taking power. No policy direction, investors are confused the direction of the government.
It has been failure and incompetence all round since the inception of this government. Nice speed there but I wont be surprised you and the 39 people that liked your speech will still vote in the same man if the constitution allows him to run |

A305: Well said and highly informative.
@phranco Mr Dru just did justice to your question and the part about giving out tok cars for 25k indicates you truly have no idea what you about to get yourself into - And even if you give out that same tok for 10k weekly rental, You will still be disappointed; you car will still be abused. Fact.
Start with 1 car instead of 3 to atleast learn the ropes, otherwise you might easily chicken out of the business from the different frustrating challenges the 3 might be throwing at you at the same time.
Understand drivers are human (prone to errors and afflicted with the same greed an investor has to rake in millions) and more importantly they are the backbone of this business; Never let a driver do key maintainance and repairs. I call that "nonsense arrangement", No driver will ever maintain your car like the car belongs to him hence, they will likely manage the fault driving the car to the ground or buy substandard parts.
Lastly, I will advice you do hp if you don't have time to monitor/inspect your car while put on rental. I have thought deeply about the bolded and I want to boldly say I agree to disagree because I've seen a few person maintain another man's property more than the way the owner would even do. This is a personal lesson I learnt from my parents growing up and I want to believe there are people who even do better. A brother used a Corolla 03 on rental for a year and 3months before him and the owner went into HP agreement, a week before the agreement was signed the owner made used of the car returning it with several faults. One reason or the other the contract was terminated after 2months, owner still sold the same car for 1m n little fraction. So you can see, ifnthis driver was reckless or dont have a good maintenance culture which us far better than the owner I'm very sure such a car wont even be sold for such an amount. So this notion of "nobody will maintain another man's property better" is not totally right. |

oluwaseunla: Pls, the common Honda Civics from North America in our market does NOT use a CVT. CVTs in civics are more common with the the L-series engine, mostly found in Asia. North American civcs use the D series (pre 2006) and the R series (06-11 models) engines. Both are mated to a normal automatic transmission and not a CVT. The oil Dru23 first posted (Honda DW-1) is the appropriate transmission fluid for that vehicle and not a CVT oil, at least for the models readily found in Nigeria.
Cc jonaifame22 That oil Dru23 posted is fucking expensive in most mech stores and to get it is even the main issue. If not for Dru23 I for suffer topping my oil the last time I had issue. |

Carshopper: Very correct statement here... the contractual agreement has already been breached by handing the car over to a 3rd party that wasn't part of the hire purchase agreement signed. You have every RIGHT to demand compensation. And does the clause state the penalty to this clause? Most HP clause only state penalties if driver default but never states if owner defaults. Judges rule cases base on evidence and proofs of valid points. |

Vision2045: Hope u snapped a picture before handing it over...
If when returning the condition of the car is not in the state it was when you return it..
He has an obligation to return the car to the state it was before, in a situation where he disagrees, you can either revalue the car or ask he refund every kobo you paid (I said every kobo)
Reason:
1. The moment he ask you to return the car to him due to the obvious fact that you cant meet up with payment, which is not even your fault...
Meaning he has taken away the right of custody bestowed on you by the HP agreement..that right can only be judged right, if the owner of the car can prove that your place or where u keep the car is not safe. If otherwise you have a point to get every kobo back.
2. In a situation where he not only took the car but now transfer custody and useage to another person whom is termed friend..He has violated the right the HP bestow on you as well.
So that more reason why if anything happen to the car after you returned it, he must reinstate it back to original state of collection.
Common law is part of our law and the principle that guides my summation above is the principle of estoppel. Come oga u b lawyer? In the flip side. Una get light for una area after last night heavy wind? When will the differences btw NEPA and bad weather be resolved |

Bigleaf1006: Everything nah understanding, they both don't need to be too hard on themselves, contract or no contract, every law has a human face.this can be handled as guys but he should ask that the week's instalment be deducted from the total money Or better still let him drive them to where ever they want to go till the lockdown is over them uber and taxify would have been available for them not be neesing his services any longer. Simple. He has no right what so ever to the car. Wisdom is needed here. But if they refuse he drives them then let them call it quit. |

Godstime234: he wants to be driving it , from ikorodu to d island . he goes to the island everyday . This is simple matter na. Since he wants to use the car then let him rent it from you on a weekly basis as according to your terms and conditions. Or better still since he has the leverage to move around despite the lockdown then offer to drive him about while he pays you for your daily job. Simple. Matter no dey this one abeg. Mind you no one will/car manage your property the way you would. Either him or the friend drives that car they wont return it the same way they picked it up from u. So renegotiate with him on the first paragraph if he disagrees then ask for termination of contract with him refunding you your money with interest. Too much sense no go kill me. |
