InfinityEstates: If the map asks you to go through Epe, you might be tempted NOT TO because of bad roads. But my advice is: If it says go through Epe, please do. The roads are not as bad as I thought. Two Saturdays ago, I left Ajah by 7am. Map said I should go through Epe, I declined. I got to Ibadan by 4pm. I regretted my decision that day. Haha... The truth is the Epe Ijebu route is the shortest distance to IB when compared to the Epe-Lagos Ibadan Expr road. The later is under serious construction, 1st the Berger to Mowe Ibafo axis and then another phase some KM after the diversion to Lagos Ore road... That phase is the most dreaded phase that can delay one for hours due to serious construction. If you'd use the Epe route once you'd gotten to ijebu off bridge you just link it straight down to IB and within 30min or there about you would've arrived at your destination. But most times the fear of the unknown (bad road) is the beginning of wisdom Though my last trip to IB I used the Lagos IB route and I returned same day getting home by 10pm. |

jpworld: Every alleged criminal has right to defend self in court, I'm only saying, while defending urself, be truthful to the court, so the court won't add extra punishment for deceiving.
The law is a beautiful thing that shape our society, if law breakers are not punish more crime will be committed, you can imagine if there is no one way traffic law.
During #endsars protest, 3rd mainland bridge, car where facing each other on the same lane on high speed, just because no one is there to enforce the law.
Stop been emotional, obey the law and have peace of mind. You speak the truth but also try to balance it most times when you make your summits. Forfuitment of vehicle can be equated to capital punishment for criminal act that's my point. It's not a reasonable punishment. So don't attribute it to emoticons. |

davit: The reality out here is that drivers, especially ehailing ones, should try to obey every traffic law this season. Lastma, police are targeting us now with the dashboards flying upandan. Guys try to follow every rule. No go do like me to follow others do wrong thing. No illegal turning. No 1 way. Seat belt. Just follow all. Avoid wahala this season. Peace. In addition don't do reverse on express road or 9n a bridge... I'm still trying to to find out the exact meter reverse is permit on an express road. If anyone has that information please educate us. That us the reason you see. Lasma don't take pictures when somebody is making reverse instead they take videos and once a particular distance is attained they go afyer the driver to arrest. So if you have missed a turn and the only option is reverse pls dont do the reverse once it has exceed maybe 500m or 1km. |

Kanoski: Dear pilots Is a tokumbo car really worth the price tag as I am planning to get one soon and also with the current foreign exchange market rate, and also going through the stress of registration and the necessary paper work. How long will an average tokumbo take before it starts developing major faults and needing repairs from wear and tear. What are the benefits of buying a tokumbo over a well maintained naija used car And lastly, are tokumbo cars really buy and drive?, are they problem free as the are expected to be?, did you spend and any money on any fix after driving off the car stand?. Thanks in advance for your help and contributions My brother I can say it categorically from experience on the field and as an engineer with field experience as well... There is no 100% assurance on any automobile. Even tear rubber cars do have "errors" it could range from factory, mechanical, design, or any kind of error. So no 100% guarantee on any thing weather it is brand new, tokunbo or 9ja used. On tokunbo, this is my take. I've been privilege enough to have used 3 tokunbo cars for ehailing. First was a corolla, I think i was the either d 2nd or 3rd driver... The 1st week I started with the car I noticed problem and I got to understand the car was accidented. The problem with most Tok are dealers. And the only person I can recommended to anyone to buy a car from is my former boss in the person of Dru23. I learnt some business integrity during my partnership with him. What he does is this. I will explain by sharing an experience. There was a car (big daddy) his manager asked me to deliver to sb. As the car arrived, my Oga called his mechanic (Bishop) to check for any possible issue that might be on the car...he fix everything... I personally bought tires and fix on the car... He day car serviced with mobile 1 oil, washed, madam filled up the tank and car was delivered to the person. I was just wondering in my mind. To what end madam?! Shey Oga sabi dis person or abi na him family person? Ha! Na so Oga dey do him tins ooh... Madam replied. In a nut shell, most dealers are only out to make profit while some are out to make build a good reputation. So most problems with toks are dealers, they're not sincere. A car came accidented fix it b4 putting it on stand, then be sincere to explain to any interested buyer how and how far you've gone with it. But for rhe sake of business which i understand though... Thats why me as I person I think I can be a successful trader because its not for sincere people The 2nd.l too I used came with issues which I'm aware took if I'm correct almost 200k or more from my boss to fix to standard and some minor issues still persisted till... My madam before she sold her personal car she changed two doors, painted the car and still sold at the same price. The car I'm using presently, same issue car cane with from abroad is what we are still battling out... Lastly, if you're lucky to get a good tok, trust me you start having one or two issues after 6-12months provided car is used for transportation but if its for private use probably 2-3yrs if you're sb with good maintenance culture 4-5yrs. But for transportation? Max is 12months. As for 9ja used it depends, if car was company own, used and maintained. But if you buy from a poor man my brother there two things involve oooh...its either the car kills you or you kill the car If the car kills you, you're save But if you kill the car there also two things involve. Dont ask me |

Felicity0001: @ chinyce and to all that may want to be educated in this matter...
Like I stated most Tuesday and Wednesdays r my rest days so I took out time to educate myself well again in traffic offences and procedures. This the due and legal process.
1) the most grievous traffic offence now in LGS is a 1-Way offense. If you're caught they impound your vehicle then direct you to the oshodi HQ.
2) Your plate number would have been sent there for registry, depending in those that arrested but I'll focus on taskforce because from my understanding theirs can be easy(they're police officials) but if na Lasma I dont know their own procedure but which ever the case may be its same process.
3) when you get there you'll then proceed to an office (under one canopy outside) where your registration number had already been received, that is where your mobile court paper will be served... I don't know the content of this paper because my friend went through the back door so he didn't go through the due process but I made sure I did my proper and authentic findings and I even entered the court room where I witness how a few judgment was ruled.
I witness how a woman and one other man lost her vehicle to LGS and also witness and heard testimonies on how some peoples' won their case and got their cars back without paying a dine by pleading "not guilty"
4) You tyen proceed to the mobile court and when you're being called upon with you're charges read to you, prosecutor will then ask "guilty or not guilty"? i) if you plea guilty my brothers forget it that car done go with possible imprisonment to the driver. ii) if you plead not guilty then the magistrate will immediately adjourned the case tuen ask the prosecutor to provide evidence.
This is where the legal proceeds will then start. So if in the day of adjournment come and the prosecutor fails to provide thankgable evidence to convince the magistrate then the magistrate will rule out the case in favour accordingly but if they provide evidence and you have a good lawyer to counter and also convince thw magistrate, great! The case might also be adjourned depending on how convince the magistrate is till final ruling.
So this is the due process. Part 2:
Through thw backdoorNow, if youre caught on any of the traffic offence, step 1 and 2 is the norms... Don't ever go to that canopy or think of proceeding to court. There's a canteen in the compound just go there and seat inside, if you can buy food and eat or contact GAZZUZZ logistics to get you a plate of Jamaican rice with chicken from mama radautoworks b4 your order must have arrived if you're smart you must have Atikulated(code) the nigerian factor. If you still haven't been able to, when your order arrives open it, get a bottle of coka-cola and start eating your food with your two eyes on your food without your head up don't ask me why I'm very very sure b4 you'd finished eating somebody would have approach you. From there you'll be told what and what to do. But be ready to spend at least N150,000. This fee doesn't include the money you'll be paying at the yard your car is being parked oh. So @ chinyce... If you know its a 1-Way offense you have kindly choose which one best suit you. I can't drop number here else I would have sent you one or two persons that can assist you and guild you through the process but go prepare. But if you're very sure it's phone call offense you have but they changed it for you, guy go through the normal process and get a lawyer because they wont be able to provide any convincing evident against you in court. Any other evidence other than the one way is null and void so magistrate will strike out the case then discharge it and even you can fill for charges because you can say you didn't commit any offense. The ball is at your court. Choose which path you go. Good luck!! |

if the video is shot while you're driving one way and you're claiming doctored, that magistrate will get infuriated and might add additional sentence for deceiving the court.

Kamikaze42: Hey Guys.
Some experience with cash (transfer) trips.
Rider said she transferred #1,200, I did not see alert. By the next day, I reported to Uber. Afterwards, the alert entered, however, Uber is asking her to still pay #1,200 before she can request a trip (perhaps they are yet to adjust the fare). Note that I updated Uber that the alert has been seen, she is saying what I did is not fair that I should have been patient for the alert.
The same patience that has cost me #4,900 (I am giving this another rider 2 weeks before I release her number for embarrassment). She should also be patient for Uber to reverse the payment.
Uber however is being diplomatic. I asked them directly what a driver should do if a rider requests for transfer payment, their response
"Driver-partners are responsible for collecting the full fare for a cash trip immediately on arrival at the rider’s destination.
Moreover, we highly value your feedback and we take what you're saying very seriously. As a growing company, we are constantly seeking ways to better enhance the Uber experience from both driver-partners and riders perspectives.
We appreciate your understanding in this regard." Haha... Uber sabi compose mail enh... Guy on a serious note any payment issue in uber that exceeds 3days is automatically gone on... So if afyer waiting for 2weeks for that lady and you still dont get your money dont even border to contact Uber on that else you put yourself at risk, just post her number here for we the good people of Oshogbo to do the wonders. |
