labiola: Good morning all.
I have a corolla 2007 Tokunbo. I bought it 1month ago for personal use but I am considering using it for Uber business. My challenge is how to get a good driver to partner with. I can't drive it myself.
Please I need your advice. What's your area of residence? |

Even though he has no registered business name and carries all his tools in a knapsack straped to his back while walking aimlessly around Lagos like someone without ambition. I even heard he has body odour and smells a lot too.
In Igboland, we call his type "AKPA USHI" (Bag of Smellos) or "UDU EZI" (Drum of Pigs) abobi weeda! nawooo... This one loud ohhhh....lol... Let's gather here for the gbos gbas now

kodred: What’s sweet about the offer? 50k weekly, max 40k net and be at the beck and call of one person in this ember months when I can gross over 200k in a week. So if I see a 2.2 surge ride to sangotedo from ojodu berger, I should not take it because I have someone to pick abi.
Guys this is not the time for offline o. Offlines are for when things are slow not now that everywhere is surging. Anyways, to each his own. My net for d past 3days has been nothing short than 20k daily. Fuel: 4k that's brings it further to 16k. Any offline that can't pay 20k per day is bad market. |

beth00899: Hey guys, so I have been keeping up with this thread for a while and I will be in Lagos from the 21st of December to January 9. What I am looking for is a reliable driver who currently does uber/bolt and is willing to take me around Lagos not going past Ikoyi Or Lekki and be on call 24/7. You will not be with me every day as I will not have an outing everyday. I am a young woman from the U.K residing in Ogudu phase 2. even better if you reside on the mainland and close to ogudu. I will pay for refueling of the car and I am looking to pay 150,000k for the 3 weeks guaranteed, 50 k a week. you will not have to deal with multiple passengers a week and once you drop me off at my friend's house or other places you are free to do whatever you like. The only requirement is you have your own car, you have a valid license, you are a good person and you are willing to have a good (safe) Christmas with me. face mask will be required See job oooh... Pls kindly furnish me with your genre of music and kinds of movies you love... So I can start compilation right away. This December go sweet die! |

omorkelly: Does that implies one can use bolt app in another city seamlessly? I was in IB last week Friday and i meet a Bolt Driver and we exchanged ideas. He made me understood drivers in Lagos can get request when ever they are in IB but they can't when they drive into Lagos. According to him he usually recieves request to Lagos but for reasons best to him I doesn't go. As a sharp guy looking 4 trip back to Lagos I on my app, boom! Request came in... Immediately rider call... I was surprised. Asked her to cancel, was just a run test. I then set destination to Lagos which then expose another thing about the app to me. The rate In IB is very low, few drivers, long distance pickup, driver's bonus not attractuve at all. e.g... Weekend bonus of 4k in Lagos is 1900/2k (forgotten) I saw on his app with more trips to be completed. In a nut shell... If you'd want to drive in IB it best you come down to lagos an open you account. See picture below for a " shooting" I did for the guy. Dont ask me what "shooting means, if you know you know. For the benefit of those that likes to do trips to IB please make sure you leave early in the morning if you plan coming back same day because it's a whole day journey due to construction on the road with lots of diversion and traffic. I've done trips to IB 3times in the last 2months, nothing has changed it as always been 8AM to 10PM return trip. ⚠: Don't pick passengers along thw road oooh when coming back to Lagos from IB those IB touts dem no dey smile oooh neither do they hear "abeg". If you need passenger drive down to the toll gate, enter, park then walk down and meet them at the garage... They'll load for you while you pay them commission. ⚠: make sure youre tires are good and your wheels are balance and well aligned. We Moove

I usually get the pain when seating in the car. I would try using extra pillow on the seat. Office too na too siddon Let me share a secret with you please don't tell anybody ooh... For the back pains You can tell you wife or gf to help you massage by matching on your back while you lieing flat... Please this therapy is not recommended for people( men) with pregnacy or immediately after eating.Sleep on the floor with a mat or a thick cloth spread on the floor. Mat/cloth will prevent cold from entering your body via your legs. U can have serious muscle pulls if cold enters ur muscles, etc. Drink enough water b4 going to bed to enable proper fluid circulation. An autopedic mattress will be nice but the flood is best for healing of the bone but make sure it's warm and not too cold. ✌ |

Tho, dont know about gazzuzz shalI even tho he is a gearbox specialist make sure ur car isn't 03, Oga gazzuzz won't work on it. The last time I check radautoworks don't work on gearbox, but she can refer you to a competent peraon that specialize in that area. As for blackbishop, that Oga na mechanic not a gearbox spec... Kamikaze42: My few experiences in my 1 month driving with only Uber.
1. I ride on my way to the office (Lekki to VI), going back home and then weekends. I have done 128 trips (Trips request: 303, Declined: 78, Cancelled: 16) 2. I am currently on 4.81 rating ( 5 Star: 65, 4 Star: 4, 3 Star: 1, 1 Star: 2 (No Nose Mask)) 3. Total net earnings: 130,524 (Including fuel) 4. Got a tip of $30 (#14,250) from a rider rushing to the international airport 5. Still struggling to get #4,900 from a woman I also took to the airport but with issues on bank transfer (Jaiz to Zenith) 6. Met different kinds of people, mostly normal. The rides are usually silent with only radio as I do not talk much. 7. I am already developing lower back pain and my odometer reading is just rising at astronomical rate.
How would you rate my 1 month report? Poor! Remark: President of the lazy Nigeria youth Association. Recon: try reduce your cancellation rate or better still get a Bolt app since it serves best in "set destination". Plus... Saturday's Sundays alone you can net 25-35k (if u can drive for 18-20hrs- that's lot of hard work there) but don't expect 1USD from bolt riders oooh... na I go even pity them dash them join The back pain is normal you'll get use to it soon and thw pains will disappear as you increase your driving time. |

donfortune48: I once got a request in VI; rider called immediately and told me he's a fellow driver, that he just want me to help him jump start his car(Prius). I got there, we tried but it couldn't start.
He has already called his mechanic and the guy was on his way coming even before he booked me.
2days later, I passed there and still met him, his car and a rewire. 4days later I passed again, still met him same spot and a new rewire. Yet car no gree start.

Blackbishop: Bros the problem is just that most naija just get this Lagos mentality which is I smart pass you.
If I should start to drop numbers of drivers here owing me money of job done, I know una no go get the liver to start calling them. But we move and just adjust they don't fool you again.
All my trips both on uber and bolt were transfer and I have never had a problem with them infact they dont wait around to get alert. They just kinda trust me which I feel is good.
So anyone who fools him/herself is just basically a fraud. Bros abeg b4 you publish drivers names owning you permit me to confess first. na only 1bottle if bear me dey own u ooh while you dey own me 2bottles. So do plus and minus na u dey own me. NaijaCr7: You are not far from the truth though, but sometimes we do share how good some riders are to us as well,
I hope you saw one of us spoke about how some riders gave him treat even though he was sceptical about their intentions and several good ones like that, but then it's a general understanding that bad events teaches us more lessons than good events, and most time the bad events we report here is not to make prospective driver/partner aggressive but rather to make them vigilant and learn from other people's plight.
Thanks for your input. Oga how far that scanner you win... You never pay dues on top on am oooh @izzou, how far with the get together na... No confirm details about it yet, or are we forgetting about it already |

FloxySmart: Hello Everyone, I must commend, this is one of the most active threads I’ve seen here on NL. It was an amazing read as I read through most of your experiences (couldn’t read all though ). The journey was so educative, informative and very hilarious can’t remember the number of times I burst out laughing, y’all are doing an amazing job. I’m most intrigued with how you help each other out on getting difficult cases fixed, it’s more like a family kind of thing. Make una no change o, una dey do well But one thing though I noticed most of the experience shared here on riders is mostly on the bad side and only very few users share how kind or good a rider was to them. Reading through many of your shared experiences I personally would have thought most riders are maniacs and a self centered opportunist, and any new driver could possibly have the same notion there by might go into the hustle with an aggressive mentality on the rider Abi I’m not making sense ni? You made a lot of sense... The truth is if we start sharing the good experiences the thread would have gotten to a land of no return... There're good riders/people so don't let that bad experiences you read make you have a bias thinking about the hustle. Peace |

Even if he talked to him anyhow, does that give him right to withold the money of the service he enjoyed. Does he expect the driver to praise or beg him after initially doing fake transfer? There are times you need to play a fool in some situations. |

Yesterday I found myself somewhere in Surulere on Bolt app around 7/8pm, at this time all way leads to my house so I turned on my Indriver app. A trip entered... R: where are I? Me: bla bla it will take me 33min to get to you. Pls where is this street you're going to? R: Meiran Me: trying to tabulate the pick distance and time (4km/33min) with fare he's offering (3.5k) and my chances of getting a trip to my area. After much negotiation guy man no gree top the money but insist of the 3.5k... He handed up... So i kept driving towards his PU. I already arrived just incase I decided to cancel or get a set destionation trip on Bolt as I'd already done. I called rider back generally but the negotiation was no ok with me. Just before i got to his street a request came in on bolt with 1.2 high demand. Rider(female) : bla bla bla...going to Meiran Me: ok i'm close, in fact I'm outside. I noticed PU was d same location as d rider on indrive. Riders were 2 young brothers and a yound lady as well(family) I guess. They sound cool but had arguments almost all through the trip till we got to destination. Me i just mind my business shaking body to my "DJ play" music even when they asked for my judgment I did as if I never heard them. Fast forward...
Trip lasted about 2hrs, N4,400 Rider: you account details pls. I called it out. Few seconds after R: done! Stepped out of the car while the other twin younger once were busy packing their luggage. 1, 2,3min no alert. I quickly horn as they where still at the gate waiting for someone to come open for them. To be continued... I need to change location ..... What's going on guy... Since 6am my app has been on no request. Am I the only one in this? |
