Romance › Re: There’s One Thing My Girlfriend Has Never Done, Yet We’re Planning Marriage by femi4: 7:20am On Apr 13
CYBERWEAVER:
I am currently planning to get married. I’ve been with my babe for about a year now.

After several consultations, we agreed on a wedding budget of about 3 million Naira.

But I keep asking myself one very honest question: how do I commit that kind of money to someone who hasn’t really shown the same level of effort back, even in something as small as 5k, despite earning a little?

Asin, I never smell her 5k since we started dating.

At this point, it’s not even about the money anymore. It’s about intention, balance, and simple acts of kindness.

Even on my birthday, I didn’t receive a gift from her, and that stayed with me more than I expected.

I’ve never had to deliberately test her money, because genuine care and small acts of giving usually show themselves naturally over time.

To be clear, I’ve been carrying most of the financial weight in this relationship, and there’s hardly anything tangible she has ever done for herself without at least my 50% contribution since we met.

I don’t complain, but I also don’t want to ignore what I’m seeing.

As a responsible man, I’m trying to be honest with myself before I take a step I can’t easily undo.

So I want to ask people who are married or have real experience: if I go ahead and marry in a relationship where this is the current dynamic, what should I realistically expect in marriage?

I’m not trying to assume the worst, but I also believe experience speaks louder than hope.
You better start to let her contribute no matter how small...else you will be buying EVERYTHING in that marriage.

Stephen0mozzy:
I was watching a video on YouTube by one wise Nigerian, and he maid one quote

Come to think of the moral decadence of the kids and young adults today, is it really far from the truth? Teens these days do not even have a sense of responsibility or consequence - they have zero respect for authority.

Whe we were growing up, it was not like this with us, there used to be a saying then that "na one person dey born pikin, but na the whole community dey train am" - but these days, you can't even correct a child before their parents rain on you like hawks.

Where did we get it wrong? What can we do to remedy the situation, or atleast the nezt generation?

Share your thoughts.

Are these not pressing issues?
Its the era of woke where we try to adpot foreing ways of raising children in a society where they have little or no responsibility

Christianity Etc › Re: You Can't Be A Christian And Still Join In Pagan Traditions by femi4: 9:50am On Apr 12
obonujoker:
Any Culture or tradition, that does not glorify God is already satanic and immoral.

As Christians, true children of God, we are to separate ourselves from such practices -
2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

You cannot call yourself a Christian and you do Masquerade, you do Ifa, you do New yam festival, You do Amadioha , You do Ogun, you do Ojude Oba, You do Raping culture festivals... You may not attend but you sponsor and support with you money...

As a child of God, A Christian, going to church with Bible, you must choose one, whether you follow God or follow the traditions of men inspired by the devil and His agents. See what Apostle Paul wrote about his own-
Galatians 1:14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

God had to separate him from all those traditions.

Remember the day you accepted Jesus, is the Day you decide to follow Him and do the will of God. May the Lord help us

And if you are still blinded by traditions and Cultures, Remember none of them can connect you to God. Jesus has paid the final price. Anything outside Jesus Christ leads you to damnation.

May the Lord bless and save us. Amen
There is a huge difference between culture n religion. Dont mix it up

Yam festival isnt different from passover

Don't throw away your culture for religion

You are telling me (AN AFRICAN) about repentance and pointing to LUKE and CORINTHIANS. who is Luke? Who is Mathew? Who is CORINTHIANS? 🤣😁

You have not visited up to 20 states in Nigeria to see first hand account of what people go through and you dey tell me about
LUKE.

PRODIGAL SON... if the prodigal son existed in this world of today, your pastor would be the first to be calling him every day and begging for money with special front row seat for him.
Ignorance

The prodigal son story was a teaching delivered by Jesus in form of parables, illustrating God’s boundless mercy, forgiveness, and joy in welcoming sinners who repent
