Sirchiboy: I have an uncle who is a teacher that married a Lady , no skill or education. He married her because she is fair. Guess what , this uncle couldnt achieve anything throughtout his 35 years of teaching. All his salary was used to pay debt his wife push him into. If not for their first daughter that married a well to do man who helped him to build a house on his land he bought from his gratuity. This man would have just grow old and go without anything. I don't pity him because he caused and brought that upon himself.
E go marry liability
But we have industrious women without formal education. I think she's just probably lazy

When African artists attend global events, they forget culture and remember cleavage.
Ayra Starr at Spotify’s 2026 Best New Artist party in LA 🇺🇸 But why are we always naked when it’s time to represent Africa? 🤔 Is African culture not premium enough again? Or revealing body is now our export? 🌍💃🏽 This is my opinion. Argue with sense.

gohf: was there really a "marriage" between Adam and Eve or they just found each other and procreated. Not sure they are the "best" examples of when to have sex for the first time, you can as well say the first time a boy meets a girl, they should have sex the moment they are out of their homes.
It depends on your definition of marriage
Because of people like you that will think in that direction, verse 24 explained the acceptable process
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
ikorodureporta: What do you think about the new guidelines by the Catholic Archbishop of Lagos?
I'm bringing this here for us to talk about it because it seems there are people out there that are not telling the Archbishop the true picture of things.
The new guidelines says that all officers currently holding positions must vacate their positions for fresh people... It also made the new leadership training, AEMP as a prerequisite...
Most of us are holding multiple positions in various levels... If you take us out, where are you going to see "Fresh people" to cover the vacuum??
Also, the AEMP being compulsory is an issue as people are not interested... How many parishioners have done the training that are now qualified??
The church is taking a wrong approach to solving the problem they're trying to solve..
Personally, I've occupied many positions in the past without having any leadership certificate to show for it. It should start from there..
The church should also make strict rules on indiscipline.. people just do things anyhow and walk away with it. Some mess up in one Parish & relocate to another parish without getting sanctioned..
Leadership tenure should be reduced to 2 or 3yrs to make it attractive...
The church should also make empowerment training compulsory in all parishes...
With these you can have a more purposeful governance in the system..
If I may ask, if the few people currently with the AEMP are those with issues, are they going to be selected unchallenged?
If we start to mock your doctrine now, you go dey shout.
You don't have whatsapp , facebook or telegram group where you can post n discuss this epistle instead of washing your dirty linen in public
Every mallam with his own kettle...abeg carry your cross
So men in Nairaland please be honest is this how you guys secretly lick the powdered milk in your house making the woman of the house to accuse the kids
Sirchiboy: I have a friend that married in 2019 and got separated in 2024. Just five years of marriage. When I asked him what really happened. He said she is tired of his wife's constant nagging. Always accusing him of cheating without evidence. He had to divorce her.
He's guilty. Women don't just nag without seeing signs
He should improve on himself if he still have plan to remarry
Babatunjo: So I was at dinner with a friend this week. Guy has been married for about 8 years now... married almost immediately after uni. Tall guy, always had fine girlfriends back in school. You’d think na him go dey hype marriage pass.
Out of nowhere, he just sighed and said he regrets marrying… apart from the kids. His advice shocked me.
He said if he were single again in 2026 Nigeria, he would never marry. That I should just find a woman, have between 1 to 3 kids if I want, make her comfortable, take care of my responsibilities... but avoid marriage completely.
I laughed it off, but then it hit me: My boss had told me something very similar some time ago. Then I remembered a former neighbour... fine wife, two kids, lovely family pictures on social media... he also warned me not to rush into marriage.
These are not bitter, broke men o. These are men society would call “successful”.
So now I’m asking myself (and una): Wetin really dey happen? Is marriage quietly becoming something different from what we were sold?
Its not for everyone. Either way you can still succeed in life
