Meedon: Whenever I eat akpu, my stomach bulge and becomes big. If I'm walking I feel somehow and it gives me discomfort.
Now, those who have potbelly permanently, especially the menfolk how are you feeling about it? Does it gives you discomfort? Some people see potbelly as a kind of affluent and a sign of good living. I overheard a conversation where a man was saying that he can't wait to make a lot of money so that he will get potbelly.
No matter the money I make, I don't want to be potbellied because it gives me lot of discomfort, when I tried to breathe.
Unfortunately not everyone experience it. Some people can eat the world and their belly will remain flat
saphiere: The current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, His Excellency Nyesom Wike has denied calling a naval officer, Lt AM Yerima, a fool. Speaking to news men in Abuja, the minister accused people for writing what never happened.
ariesbull: My cousin ended her five-year marriage the day she found out her husband cheated. We all begged her to think twice, to calm down before walking away. But she was done. She packed her things, took her two kids, and left.
For a year, the man went from one relative to another, begging for forgiveness. He apologised, promised to change, did everything a repentant man would do. But she stood firm. “I deserve better,” she said.
She got her own place, started afresh, and later met a married man who treated her well. For a while it looked like she had found peace until his wife showed up one morning and scattered everything. The man disappeared, and she was left humiliated.
Not long after, another man came along. He stayed just two months before running off when money became an issue. No message, no explanation.
Then came an Alhaji who promised marriage but only if she sent her sons back to their father. He said he could not raise another man’s children. She ended it right there.
Three years later, she woke up one morning and asked herself, what if I go back? The man still loved her, the kids missed him, and maybe time had softened her heart.
So she went to his house early that morning, ready to reconcile. But a pregnant woman opened the door. Her ex-husband had moved on.
It has been over ten years now. The woman who once turned heads no longer does. The suitors stopped coming. Her kids are back with their father, cared for by their stepmother who now has two of her own.
Life does not always give you a second chance. Sometimes pride takes what pain never could.

Fred166: So, I got back from work yesterday and my wife was showing me 2 chivita exotic drinks, 5 cans of my brand of beer and a leg of freshly killed raw goat meat, I was like babe u win jackpot, what’s going on here, show me the way na? And She said it was my tenant that brought them for the celebration of his new car. I was like no wonder when I drove into the compound I saw a car parked, I thought maybe it was a visitor.
So Immediately I went to his flat to congratulate and celebrate with him. As we were talking he said something and he said since he moved into my compound things have been going well for him especially in his business. I was really glad hearing those words and I said All Thanks to God . I also encouraged him to keep working hard and always pray to God for grace.
To me, there’s nothing special about my compound, I believe if u consistently work hard and smart u will get positive results. na my wife dey even force me go church every Sunday, there’s no Sunday morning my wife don’t say “your mate are getting ready to take their family to church while you’re still on the bed.”
Dear Nairalanders, does where you rent determines your progress.
It doesn't The nature of the work n income determine your success
mascot87: That's the fact and that's my stand but delusional emotional Nigerians just like to support nonsense all in the name of "We don't like Wike". These precedence you are supporting will definitely have a bitter end that all of you including those supporting this impunity in a democratic setting would suffer for.
You will not see this part
That's the part Nigerians are angry about
Falana condemned the minister’s public insult of the military officer, saying no public official has the right to ridicule any Nigerian.
Gr8mind07: Wike was not tactical enough in approaching the matter, and he lost it There is no way an officer acting on a superior officer would do contrary to instruction, even if it would take his life. However, the guy's ego was somehow deflated the way he was accosted and he couldn't touch them. Those officers so detest it
